I am torn between awarding this Starbucks two or three stars, and it really splits down the middle for me. The Good: -- Competent service with none of the usual hassle encountered at the stereotypical Starbucks. You won't get hipster hairy eyeballs or irreverent commentary when all you want is your coffee to go. -- Tasty drinks. They come out nicely per the recipes, no surprises for good or bad. -- Crowd management during non-peak hours keeps things flowing. The Meh: -- Awful location. 12 Mile and Telegraph is a nightmarish hole to navigate, and the endless Michigan lefts, turns, and meandering needed to get into the store makes it far from convenient. Starbucks can't exactly blame the intersection but it's not easy to get into. -- Parking lot. You will be forced to do a three car shuffle to find a spot, presuming you don't get the entitled whinger parking his Cadillac SUV crooked across two spots or the soccer mommy who hogs the prime spot for 25 minutes while she chats on her cell phone. The narrow alleyway serving as a parking lot is hazardous to navigate, constantly clogged, and impossibly narrow. Fender benders and scratches come with the territory. Plus, there are pot holes and clearances that a micromachine wouldn't fit through. -- Neighbours. The Bagel Factory, the Gas Station, the Star Deli are all within sneezing distance. They are all very popular. This means getting in and out in a flash are horribly difficult no matter how fast the service. The Bad: -- Where is the drive-thru? -- Morning rush-hour or lunch-time crush are bad, bad times to visit.

Parking limited and hard to access from 12 mile. Very busy area but if you get in as you know Starbucks = yum

Why is it that every time I come into this starbucks there's always a line outside the door with 20 people? Mutants wait in line while the efficiency in that small little coffee station take forever. I have walked out 3 times already cause it takes way to long. There is another starbucks in the area and they don't have a line of 20 people outside the door. Obviously this starbucks attracts the wrong crowd of people the hold up everybody from getting their drink. Bad enough that parking lot its located in is always packed for no reason. Yes its no surprise that the employees realize that there is a long line but management should focus on solving the problem (better training, coffee only lines, hire new staff). Waiting for 10 minutes or more to get a drink is very stupid! There's other coffee places in the area that have somewhat more mindful of getting a coffee/drink into your hands as soon as possible. Again waiting in line for 20 minutes to get a drink is very, very stupid!

Enough parking although I really hate the road it is on. It is so confusing. Anyway, it is nice and cozy. I was here in the afternoon on a Tuesday. It wasn't too busy so I was able to grab a couch and was able to get some studying done. Bathrooms in the back with no password. The workers were friendly. I wouldn't mind coming back but I probably won't since it is a bit far.

Friendly, fast & service w/a smile. They always get my drink correct too! Parking is crap - but I only stop at this one when getting Chinese next door. I have never had to wait too long here.

For being a mini Starbucks this location definitely brews the strongest coffee and pumps out some of the most potent espresso in my area. It's limited in products and choices because the space isn't big enough to be a full Starbucks. Even though it's always crazy busy, the Baristas always seem to know everyone by name and what they normally order. Every time I walk in I'm greeted with a friendly smile and my iced soy latte waiting for me. The main reason I frequent this location is the strong espresso and the friendliest Baristas around. The parking can be challenging but that doesn't stop me. I like my lattes to be a perfect blend in taste and consistency and this Starbucks seems to get right every time.

I've been to this Starbucks a few times before, and it's not half bad. One of the busier ones in town, as it's right at thevery busy intersection of 12 mile and Telegraph. When I've been here, the service has been great, the drinks come out fine, and even though I don't often sit down here, tables are at a premium. Seems to be a hot spot for students studying, people meeting up, etc. The one down side of coming here, which isn't Starbucks fault, is parking is horrible. So is getting in and out of this place! Being that it's so close to the expressway, and a very busy intersection anyways, it can be a challenge to navigate. Watch out for airheaded drivers pulling in and out of the gas station, the deli and just overall not paying attention. If your not in a hurry, swing by. Not due to slow service, but just a pain to get in and out of, really.

Not going back to this location. Waited my turn, placed my order, tipped $1 and had to wait for the completion of not one, but two orders behind me. What's up with that? Never had such poor service at any other location. : (

This is a good Starbucks, if only for its quick service (okay, it's been awhile) and of course, proximity to the Bagel Factory next door. If you need gas, too, it's like a one-stop morning shop! Awesome.

Today, I was there during the 8 to 9 morning rush. Even though the place was crowded and there were several people in line, the drinks came out very quickly. I was very impressed. The only issue is nobody knows where the line starts.

This Starbucks restroom is he dirtiest, most paper-strewn facility of any Starbucks establishment I have ever visited. I have complained about lack of toilet paper, messy sinks, used towel and tissue on the floor and each time, over and over, the situation remains the unchanged. The customer pays high prices for premium product. Is it unreasonable that expectations run higher?? With these photos I bid this Tel-Twelve Southfield Starbucks a permanent good bye.

The location is not that great, entering and exiting the parking lot from this location can be treacherous. My peppermint Latte was not that great. ;-( They used way to much peppermint, I couldn't taste the coffee at all. They have a cluttered and unorganized inside unfortunately and made it impossible to find a place to sit and relax. Had used one area for storage taking away from extra space that could've been used for extra seating. The staff was friendly but overwhelmed and understaffed. They did make me a new Latte without complaint or attitude and apologized for the mix up which was very professional and classy. ;-) I unfortunately won't come back.

It's almost like someone decided to open up a Starbucks in a storage room, and the three people working (with zero customers ahead of me) seemed put out that I wanted to order something. I like Starbucks a lot, but this location is probably the worst I've ever been to.

This is the most unkempt Starbucks I have been in. As soon as I walk in, I notice Crumbs and trash on the floor near the corners as if it has been pushed to the side. Behind the counter, someone is mopping the floor and continues mopping as she asks me "do you know what you want to order?" I tell her and she asks someone else if they had heard me. The chick that was actually making my order behaved & looked as if she had just rolled out of bed (and not in the "sexy" bedhead kinda way). She literally tossed my cinnamon roll on the counter in a too small paper bag that she had obviously stuffed it into and didn't even bother to fold the bag closed before hurling it onto the counter. I went to the station to get straws and napkins and there were torn up packets of condiments and their spilled contents all over the counter... Just ugh! With the shop looking such a mess I was afraid to go into the restroom! This Starbucks is within a plaza of other stores and so not only is the Starbucks itself cramped, but also the parking lot. There is also a very high volume of traffic within this lot anyone due to the gas station also within this same lot. I would avoid this location. It really makes Starbucks look awful...

Starbucks is a very good place to go and have the whole experience of being at a café either with someone or alone. And this particular location is both convenient because it's near 12 Mile & Telegraph, but also a very big hassle because of the extremely tight and limited amount of parking space. What An Oxymoron? Now, every time I have come here I don't recall having a bad experience with the baristas. However, the restrooms could always be a tiny bit more clean. My number one gripe is the lack of space (this is supposed to be the place where you go to sit and enjoy the product and the atmosphere/environment). No matter if you're with friends or alone, they should be able to accommodate both without problems.

Small, crowded, and suburban. But then, they make a latte that's as good as any Starbucks Coffee worldwide--which is, after all, why we go there. Great staff! Friendly, quick, and pleasant. They get five stars.

A decent, cozy (small) Starbucks in a Southfield strip mall. The cafe was nice, but could use better upkeep. There were used sugar packets, stir sticks, etc. scattered about the floor and also several stacks of boxes piled up in the back of the store. The staff were nice & the coffee was good. The Internet was fast, when it worked, but it kept dropping & freezing up on both of my devices.

This is a busy Starbuck, and small - more catering to take your coffee and go to work. They have 8-10 table, all small two person version, except one in the front. They do have one or two outdoor tables, but I think its for show. It is busy. Every table is usually taken in the morning, right thru mid-afternoon, and there is a steady traffic of people buying beverages. Parking can be tough too, there are a couple of popular other businesses in the strip mall and limited parking, as well as gas station traffic. The location is a busy intersection at 12 mile the Telegraph and north on Telegraph has no more stores until Maple (15 Mile). Its a standard Starbucks otherwise, I like the blonde blend, their regualr coffee tasted slightly burnt.

I've always gotten good service at this Starbucks, and a properly poured beverage. I do have a few beefs though: 1. Parking lot stinks 2. No drive-thru and I'm lazy 3. It's on the wrong side of Telegraph for me Otherwise, it's lovely! And conveniently located next to a gas station... and I may or may not have been in a car that parked at a pump just to go to Starbucks without fighting for parking. Maybe.

Parking lot is small for the number of business in the strip mall so it's tough to find parking. The inside of this Starbuck's was dumpy compared to their normal standards. It was dirty, boxes were out in the seating area.
