Came here to celebrate a 6 month anniversary with my girl friend at the end of December for a special evening together. After departing we did not get to stay in the room we reserved and my girlfriend left with several bed bug bites. Overall, an extremely unenjoyable experience and will not be returning. After making reservations several weeks prior for the Susan B. Anthony room, we were informed on arrival that the room was not available due to the hot tub not working, so we were moved to the Maudie room. Luckily we were the only ones staying at the Parkhouse Inn that night...hmm. In the AM we were served a buffet style breakfast of apple pancakes, eggs, sausage, and yogurt...which was pretty tasty (3 stars). Upon checking out we didn't realize our stay would come to haunt us once we left. When my girlfriend woke up two days later she noticed multiple bed bug bites on her arms and hands. Neither of us had signs of bed bugs in our residence ever, so the evidence would indicate they came from our stay at the Parkhouse Inn. After throughly inspecting both our rooms, washing all our clothes/bags, and purchasing bed bug mattress covers and sprays ($150+)...we hopefully have negated any of these bugs from entering our residence. Overall a pricey joint for the dead of winter and the possibility of bed bugs being present would ensure I never stay or recommend this B&B to anyone I know.

I just had a great experience at the Park House Inn. The Bed part: My room was spotless and comfortable, and I loved the skylight over my bed in "The Loft". The bed was comfy, the room was quiet, and I slept better than in days. Good strong fast WiFi is make-or-break for me, and there was no problem! I travel with lots of electronics and I loved the fact that the innkeepers have put TWO power strips near the bed, one on each side. There was even a mattress warmer and a space heater for an extra kick of heat on a cold late-winter night. The Breakfast part: The food was yummy and I felt like I could go back for seconds or even thirds if I wanted to. Toni (a very friendly and helpful innkeeper) had gone out of her way to accommodate my request for low-carb food, and the coffee was good and strong and it kept on coming. There was also hot cocoa and a good selection of teas. The Location part: It's just a very short walk through a lovely village neighborhood to all the restaurants and shops that make Saugatuck so charming. You even pass a delightful old mill building right nearby. One real plus for the Park House in busy Saugatuck is the large parking lot for off-street parking. Toni told me that the town runs buses on demand to take you around town and to the beach which would be a real plus when it's high season and parking is hard to find.

We had a wonderful stay at the Park House Inn. The owner's Toni and Rick make you feel at home and add both very knowledgeable about the area. The inn is spotless and well kept. They recommended great restaurants in the area all within walking distance. They also prepared a wonderful breakfast in the morning and made sure they were always available for all your needs. I can't wait to go back soon!

Great stay at this very nice spot. The hosts are really nice and full of fun tips and things to do while in town. The daily breakfast was really good full fresh fruits and home made treats. The rooms and kitchen are very clean. I would recommend this place if your looking for a place to stay.

I have stayed at the Park House Inn on several occasions and always found it enjoyable and have never had issues like described by the "guests" who reviewed prior. The Inn's owners (Toni and Melissa) are very warm/welcoming and provide wonderful hospitality. The Inn is located on the outskirts of the downtown area in Saugatuck which equates to quiet evenings, yet it's a 10 minute walk to all of the conveniences downtown.
