I think this place is great! I ordered a Veggie Omelette with hash browns. The omelette was huge and made of three eggs, so I was super full. Plus, it was only $6.59, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. The meal was kind of bland but I think that's the idea of breakfast foods - to add your own amount of salt and pepper. Minor complaint was that our server was not especially nice.

It's hard to give any stars to this comment. I decided to meet a friend and try their lunch menu. When I arrived at 1:15, February 19, his truck was the only vehicle in the parking lot. Uh oh. The place is boarded up and closed. No mention of anything appears on their website. My friend said it looked like a fire had closed it down. So...let's wait and see. We proceeded into town and headed for the Brecon Grill (review coming).

Saline Inn is in my Top 10 Favorite Restaurants of all time... I cannot say enough about how much respect and admiration I have for this establishment and it's owners. Saline Inn till that gravestone, SON.

For SE Michigan locals this feels like home! There is nothing like their fresh cooked omelettes, buttery toast, and tremendous stacked pancakes! I came here for HS football and still do when I get the chance; it is amazing! The service is great and they also offer an "old school" and traditional style of cashier service. The selections are large, the atmosphere is great, and the meals are guaranteed to fill you.

This place was pretty bad. And not bad like that bad diner food that is so bad, it's good. It was bad bad. And all i ordered was eggs and hashbrowns. They were under poached and, all in all, the meal just had no taste. No seasoning whatsoever. My mom got corned beef hash which I'm sure was from a can. I will say they were good about refilling drinks. And the orange juice was great. Slightly pulpy which I like and you don't get much when dining out.

I have eaten at this place twice now--yesterday and about two weeks ago. Both times, we ran into people we know who live in Saline. It seems to be a great gathering place for the town. Both times, hubby and I had the fish & chips with one cole slaw for each of us. We split the order and it was plenty. Our waiter brought us an extra plate and we divvied it up. Yeah, I know. Fried foods. I rarely eat them, but these fish chunks were nicely battered, and both the fish and the fries were very hot when they arrived. We did not have to wait long to receive them, and the wait staff seems well trained. Saline Inn does not promise to be a gourmet restaurant. It's simple food, and that's just fine.

this place was awful, dilapidated standard diner from the 60's decor. Nothing about this place is extraordinary or special in any way. the salad was iceberg lettuce, period. They didn't carry bleu cheese dressing. The food is run of the mill. It is in essence, the equivalent to a bad coney island. Saline doesn't have much to offer in the way of restaurants so I can understand a skewing of star score. But my method is if the place has a drive thru window it is a 1 star establishment, period. If I could I would rate this place 1.5. 5 star places should reserved for places that are truly incredible in some form or fashion and in that vein there should only be a handful in the whole state. I was there for dinner. It might have redeemable qualities for breakfast.

This is a great diner! The staff are always friendly and quick on their feet, and the food always tastes great. My husband and I work nearby and this is a regular lunch spot for us : )

The Saline Inn is a great place for breakfast, any time! You can always tell a great local diner, because so many "regular" local customers are there. If you stop by for breakfast, you'll find the same bunch of locals there every morning. That's always a great sign. The food is always fresh, and prepared the way you request. Dinner portions are generous but fair. Service is prompt and friendly. Altogether, it's a great place for a quick meal.
