It is definitely a "greasy spoon" but you can't beat it for the price and food selection. The waitress was very friendly and gave the kids lots of crayons. The food came out quickly as well. We will be back.

My boyfriend is originally from Saginaw and we were in town for Christmas and looking to eat a quick lunch on Sunday. He told me that this place is kind of a tradition in the city and seems to be one of those kind of places that, even though the food isn't really that great, people will still flock here because it's a staple. There are plenty of those places where I'm from, so I get it. I had to get the steak sandwich (of course - otherwise my boyfriend would've literally stabbed me) and opted for the onion rings. Everything was just ok. When I was thinking a steak sandwich, I was thinking like thin sliced steak or cubes of steak. I was not expecting essentially a hamburger patty. Don't really understand the marinara sauce they give you with it, just doesn't seem like it all goes together. Someone else mentioned this is a greasy spoon type place and I would totally agree. Service is personable and friendly, but definitely more of a divey diner type place. Everyone seems to agree that the breakfast menu is a little bit better, so if I'm ever in town and come by here again, I'll definitely try that instead.

Yikes...... Not what I remember from when I was younger. Crappy instant potatoes, clumpy gravy and oddly tuna flavored turkey. Their red sauce had is just like the sauce in your canned ravioli. My wife thought it tasted like camels soup with some dried herbs in it. I got my meal about 5 minutes before my wife got hers. Overall very disappointing.

I have fond memories of eating here when I was a kid and was excited about eating here after many years. The service was terrible and the lasagna I ate was terrible. Four of us ate and were all served their food at 5 minute intervals. I mean are you kidding me? None of us were very excited about our food... We will not be back for awhile if I have my way about it. The wife however is a fan of their steak sandwich...... We shall see lol

This is a place to go if you don't want to leave hungry. The portions are of epic proportions and you will never get short changed here on quantity. Quality is excellent at the same time. The breakfast menu is huge, plenty to choose from. They brag about the giant steak sandwich on the cover of the menu which comes in several varieties. I went with the BLT because I recall it being very good the last time I had it here. It is very good. This place is worth stopping in at...and the prices are unbeatable! Four people ate for $35 today!

Super food. Super friendly! Surprisingly fast service. Be sure to read the Italian family history on the back of the menu.

Seat yourself lunch service, and the waitress was quick to my table with a menu. I had tea, which came with the lemons in a plastic container on the side (bonus for not having hands in my food like many restaurants!) With the waitress recommendation I had the Bacon bleu Cheese burger (yes, I meant to capitalize Bacon and Cheese!) As I looked around the guys next to me seemed to really be enjoying the huge plates of spaghetti-each plate could easily serve 2 men! When asked for a side, I told the waitress to bring me whatever she thought I would enjoy-I got steak fries (good recommendation!) They were hot and fresh from the grease! Awesome! This place is an easy diner... good comfort food. At stuck at a solid 3.5... but since there's nothing basically wrong here, we will go with the 4!

A friend of mine had a side order of bacon with her breakfast. They piled it on her plate. She took one look at it and said, "Holy s%$*. That's a lot of bacon." If you're a bacon lover, you will enjoy their breakfasts. Tony locations are pretty good about OD'ing you. Service is always friendly at this location.

A local greasy spoon staple. It isn't a five star or even possibly 3 star restaurant, but it is one of the places I grew up on, so I love it for the nostalgia alone. Yes, the food is not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination, but they aren't pretending to be, I mean you saw the place as you were walking in right? They are known for reasonable prices with large portions, and I have rarely been disappointed. My favorite is the thick Italian bread that is made locally and used as toast and on the sandwiches. They also have great breakfast!

The chef salad was fresh and plentiful. Service was good and it's clean for a "greasy spoon." The only issue was ii received the wrong dressing but no big deal to me.

I visited Tony's on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a great meal. The atmosphere was basic but my lasagne was epic! Huge portion with great meat sauce and seasoned ricotta filling. I also got a yummy wop salad and a big piece of garlic bread. Price was very affordable and service was excellent. I will be back soon!

It would be easy to pan this place as "average" or even sub-par simply based on the 1980s decor and back-to-basics menu. If you're looking for a 3 star Michelin restaurant, you're in the wrong place. However, based on may mom n pop diner places, the food here was fantastic. Large portions, friendly, fast service. I got the corned beef hash and eggs and it was probably the best (aside from own home made) that I have ever eaten. This is not your dump it from a can corned beef. This was sliced corned beef, sliced potatoes and peppers. The slices of Italian toast that came with it were as big as my head! Again, this is not a fancy place, but the food is good, well-prepared, and reasonably priced.

I've heard about this place and the large servings. It's fine, nothing spectacular. Basically, diner type food. I had a cheeseburger and fries. Huge portions and I couldn't finish, but a guy probably could easily, ha ha. I'll probably go again someday.

Not sure where to start... This is my first time to Saginaw & my first meal in town...and it was not good. Actually horrendous would be a better adjective to use. We are driving cross country and have been on a diners, drive-ins, & dives sorta theme. And all the places we have visited this far have been fantastic and I have reviewed every restaurant with a review reflective of my experience. I cannot phathom a world where anyone could enjoy this? I absolutely would not go there if even if my meal was free. For starters, the building and decor look like an old abandoned wendys. But i honestly dont care about atmosphere if the food makes up for it. But the decor in hindsight is the least of their worries. The "food"....I ordered their "famous steak sandwich" and my boyfriend the sausage dinner. My famous sandwich had very obviously canned tomato sauce possibly by chef boyardee, canned sliced mushrooms, over cooked dry hamburger meat, and "italian" bread. Yes the bread was a thick slice, but was not the crusty italian bread one would expect at an "italian" diner. My add on salad was some iceberg lettuce with white onions. That was it..it sucked as well. My boyfriends italian sausage consisted of opening up a package of ground sausage, flattening it out, and throwing it on the stove top...fries obviously frozen. This wonderful dining experience costs us about $10/each...way more than a modern wendys would have. Anyways, the ice water was cold & our server was nice..good thing she was or we would have ran..which we should have as i now have to run to the bathroom and get sick!
