This was our second time eating at this location, but paled in comparison to our first. I ordered a stack of 5 regular pancakes, and they came with a side order of problems. When they brought out the food, everything seemed okay. My wife's food, and our kid's food, was fine. My order of 5 pancakes only had 4. Simple enough mistake. I informed our server, and she brought out another one a few minutes later. Two of the pancakes I got had stuff stuck to them. One had some melted chocolate, and the other had some hard burnt things stuck to it. Probably more chocolate. Informed the server, who then brought out the manager, and the pancakes were replaced. The plate that the replacement pancakes came out on had something crusty and hanging off the bottom of the plate. It left a greasy ring on the table when I moved it. When we went to pay, the server did not take the price of the kid's meals off of the total (they have a Kids Eat Free promotion), and we had to wait while the meal was re-entered into the register. Everything was eventually fixed, so I guess that's good.

This place opened with a bang. It was out of this world. It only took a few months and they were closed down, I understand by the health department. They reopened and it is by no means worth your time to stop there. Food is fresh out of the can. noisy. Ultra slow service.

Exceptional breakfast service on Sunday morning, but this place really stinks (I think it's the carpets).

I read the reviews - here is an update...the puke smell although not overwhelming is still present as you walk into the restaurant. I was greeted and sat quickly. My waitress took a few minutes to get to me but my drink and order came out quickly. I did not get pancakes today ... instead I ordered an egg omelet. When I got my food, I laughed...the omelet was maybe...maybe made with 1 and a half eggs - it was the smallest omelet (robin eggs indeed) I have ever eaten...it did taste good...side of fruit was fine as well. I give it 2 stars for fast service and ok food. I take away 3 stars for odd smell at entry and the smallest portion ever known to a grown man.

I come in here quite a bit and most often after my friends and I had been out for the night...you can imagine most of the servers probably don't like us. Needless to say, they carry on, serving us and making sure our waters are always full (maybe they're trying to sober us up?). I have to hand it to the early morning crews for having the patience to deal with us and the other assortment of intoxicated individuals. Having been there more than a few times, I can honestly say that the food has NEVER been a disappointment, which I thought was strange because it is iHop after all, but I guess the cooks know their stuff. All in all, it's better than Denny's (not that I don't still like Denny's because they do have nachos!), and that use to be the regular go-to spot after the bars. iHop - Good food, great servers, a great experience thus far. Cheers ;)

I had a wonderful experience this morning. The wait staff was very attentive and promptly greeted us upon arrival. I would recommend this Saginaw area breakfast destination to anyone in the area.

Updating from my last review, I decided to take another chance after the manager contacted me upon the last review. This time, the service was much better. We were seated promptly and had our drink orders taken almost immediately. The service throughout was very good and our waitress was attentive. After learning that we were at the restaurant to try it again after the bad review, the manager came out and talked to us, which I thought showed a lot of class. It was clear that she cares a lot about the restaurant and is actively implementing positive changes that we definitely noticed while we were there. I will absolutely go to this establishment again, now that I know that there is a manager who cares and wants the restaurant to improve.

The Wal-mart of food. There's the puke smell when you first walk in the door. For some reason you have to wait in line because it's busy. If you get french toast or pancakes with any kind of topping, there's so much sugary sauce on them, it's like you're eating a bad birthday cake. Food takes forever to come out, the eggs must come from robins they are so small. The only good thing I have to say about the place is that they have a lot of variety and the prices are low - much cheaper than Bob Evans, for instance. But it's also a different crowd.

I would agree with most the reviews posted here, the service was not the best . I wasn't approached by a waitress till after 15 minutes of being seated. the place is not the cleanest . saw two waitresses arguing about who should clean the tables. but the food was ok

Before I ordered I looked at the meals the other customers were eating, their meals didn't look spectacular like the ones shown on TV commercials so I ordered Fish & Chips. The Fish & Chips I ordered was merely average. Contrary to a different review the service was excellent, if only the food was as great as the service I would have given a 5 star rating.

This Ihop is awesome!!!! This Ihop is very modern feeling compared to the one in Mount Pleasant. The food is wonderful. I dine here once every couple months and I have to say the cinnastack French toast is to die for!!! I always get it with sausage links and hash browns. No eggs for me. Service is wonderful! Ignore the bad reviews please.

Waitress was nice but screwed up a simple order, after all we're not talking about Couquilles St. Jacques with aspargas vinegrette. They serve half wilted salad with packets of Kraft dressing.

Great coffee, awesome pancakes, fun (and different) egg dishes, and new things to try with each trip. Over-rating this place to offset the weirdly "puke"-themed reviews; i would give it a 4 normally. Wow - haters gonna hate. I'd suggest if you don't like the place, don't visit over and over and post multiple bad reviews... sounds suspicious to me!

I've been here 3 times in the past 3 months with friends. The first time, there was a strong, immediate smell of vomit (which can come from bacteria in rotting wood or a host of sources besides vomit). They had air fresheners stuck in every outlet. The odor has diminished the last two times, but we've all agreed- we're not coming back until the odor is completely gone. Quick test - inhale while you're between the 2 sets of entrance doors. BTW: I've eaten in IHOPs in Denver, Pensacola, E. Lansing, Baltimore... tho they can be older looking (the decor here is very nice), they don't smell. And - where are the CHEESE BLINTZES, people?

An ihop should be able to make good pancakes, right? I certainly didn't get any here. Service was also poor. Took a while for the waitress to first come to my table and they were not busy. It may have just been the waitresses personality but she seemed like she was on the verge of slitting her wrists. It was that or take my order, whatever came up first. Pancakes were very bad, hash browns looked to have a nice crispy layer but tasted like charred ash. The ham and sausage was pretty tasty though. Maybe only because the other items were so bad. Do yourself a favor and head to the Tony's just around the corner on fashion square blvd. Their food isn't amazing but it's a lot better.

I was really excited to try this IHop as I have eaten at others before, but I would call this place an "IFlop". Despite hearing others talk about how bad the service was, I guess I just had to see for myself. I guess I should have tried breakfast because that's what this chain is famous for. After our order was taken, about 15 min. later the waitress comes back and tells us that who ever ordered pot roast could not have it without onions because "that's how it came" and offered something else. well that was disappointing. I guess that's expected with a big chain restaurant. When the food arrived we just sat there staring at it because we didn't get any silverware, we had to wait till someone walked by to ask. I felt the food was just mediocre for the price, and would have been more satisfied with the Denny's down the street. I probably won't be back to this location.
