I had a craving for some good Mexican fast food and Del Taco came to mind. I always like visiting this store. It is always clean, the food is good, and the prices are great. Recent check-in offer: Free chips & salsa with drink purchase. Now serving up authentic Mexican background music! Dine in only - drive thru, you provide your own musica.

It's nice to see a Mexican restaurant offer ground turkey for their menu items. I jumped all over getting a turkey burrito. My other half got a cantina bowl that wasn't too pleased with as everything in it still seemed fried and unhealthy.

If you find yourself craving some Mexican fast food, Del Taco will give you the best bang for your buck. Just don't go in expecting fine Mexican cuisine. It boggles my mind that people will go to fast food joints such as this and expect an authentic Mexican fine dining experience. It's fast food, folks. And it's good.

I rarely get over to the eastside anymore, but found myself near DEL TACO & had to grab a Double Del Burger It is one of my favorite togo burgers.

They told me "Don't go to Del Taco, you will be sorry". I didn't listen. I thought, "how bad could it be?" It was worse than they made it out to be. This place makes Taco Bell seem like authentic Mexican food. Cheeze whiz on a taco? This was the worst fast food experience of my life, and I am not that hard to please. I have had better meals at Meijers gas station. I will pass the advice along, "Don't go to Del Taco".

My girlfriend and myself usually have del taco when we are down in roseville. It is always a treat to have because of how cheap it is. I usually only order regular hard tacos and a steak del carbon. The del carbons are awesome except for when they over burden it with sauce. The cheesecake bites are deep fried heaven. Service is usually on point and the food is always delicious! I recommend to anyone looking for a quick fix.

I stopped in to Del Taco for the first time ever today and it was good. I didn't get anything huge, just a taco and burrito but it was pretty good.

Man I was hungry. 2 Hard Shell Tacos, 1 Carnitas and 1 Beef Burrito. Until this trip i'd never had anything other than their Tacos, which are a bit skimpy if you don't go all deluxe, but on the other hand are super cheap, so you get what you pay for. I wasn't impressed with the Carnitas, but it wasn't horrible and the Burrito was just fine. I like Del Taco over the competition pretty much because their Salsa tastes better. Dining room is clean and usually busy. Staff is friendly and a helpful guide through the ever changing menu. This is a good Del Taco.

More bang for your buck than Taco Bell. They're not pretending to be an authentic Mexican restaurant either. They serve fries with their combos...and burgers. So if there's that one annoying person in the car who absolutely insists on a burger you've got 'em covered without having to hit up a second drive thru. I love the fried deliciousness of the fish tacos, wrapped in foil and served with a wedge of lime. Me gusta Del Taco.

(Author's note) This review is based on pre exposure to SW Detroit, aka Mexico Norte before I discovered real tacos. I discovered Del Taco while still living in Toledo. They moved into the old space once occupied by Krispy Kreme. I rejoiced because at last I was free of the icy grip Taco Bell had on me. I went to the movies to see Despicable Me which has become of my favorite movies. Being that I was there on a Thursday, going to the coney island wasnt in the plan. I'm cheap and I know it. I also knew that Del Taco had 3 for a buck tacos. They were pretty good, and despite an after theatre rush, the staff took my order and processed it in a timely manner. Del Taco is way better than Taco Bell. I could do a throwdown, but Taco Bell would lose on every count. They just do things better. The burgers as Nicole mentioned are nothing to write home about, and no one in their right mind would ever order a burger from a taco joint anymore than you would order a taco from a burger joint (Jack in the Box). The one thing that stands out is that every summer the drink prices go down and you can walk away with a big drink for a buck. That gets me every time and since I spend long stretches in my taxi, having adequate liquid refreshment is key to me making money. I hate to stop for anything, especially if I don't have to. If you can't get down to SW Detroit to get real Mexican, then by all means hit up Del Taco. It's not the best out there, but it will do in a pinch.

Granted they have cheat prices BUT the mild taco sauce tastes like ketchup! (I didn't try the hotter or spicier sauces). Next time I go, I'll bring packs of mild sauce from Taco Bell.

Much prefer DT or Tb! Foods fresh and hot! Prices are better and staff if super friendly :)
