Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I have been here several times and is my favorite in Rockford. The blackened salmon salad is delicious. And the spinach and artichoke dip is the best from anywhere. (Well 2nd only to my sister's). And I have ordered that dip and a lot of different places. It is very creamy and cheesy. Yum! Service has always been friendly and welcoming.

I really like this location. My husband and I have eaten at most of the Uccellos around West MI. To me, this is the nicest location. I've tried other dishes, but I really like the pizza. The pizza also has a really good sauce. It has a kind of sweet flavor and is smooth. My only complaint is that they use canned mushrooms. Maybe some people don't care, but I can't stand them. You can specify fresh but sometimes canned still come out. Maybe I'm being picky but it's a drawback. The house salads are good, and you get a breadstick. There's a good beer selection with drink specials. Overall, I'm glad they came to Rockford!

* It's OK * Poorly trained staff * Neglectful host * Slow service * Disgusting styrofoam * Affordable food and drinks

Good food and service. I didn't think it was too noisey either. For those who complained about noise remember it is a sports bar! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I did get the pizza and it doesn't compare to pizza from Chicago where I from but it's not terrible by any means.

As a north Kent County resident we were looking forward to the new Uccello's in Rockford since there are very few good restaurants up this way....but what a let down after two visits. Small dining area always packed out and must be horrible acoustics because its LOUD, LOUD, LOUD even for a sports bar (people almost yelling when talking/its crazy)and compared to their GR locations. Service was very slow both times with tables that arrived after us getting served before we did. Both times we went, servers were very inattentive. As for the food the Margarita Dip is one of our all time favorite appetizers but the more we try their dishes the less impressed we are. Very disappointing as far as service and noise factor and food only ok. Update: We got take out today and my husband's Seafood Risotto was pasty and bland and his garlic bread was highly processed white bread...almost like a cheap flat, soggy, sub bun. I got the grilled seafood pizza and it tasted ok but a bit greasy and very little seafood on it. We ordered the Bread Sticks and the Mushroom Crustini for the first time to try and blaa on both of those as well. Mushrooms on the Crustini were canned and despite goat cheese and the balsamic vinegar drizzle which we love, neither of those appetizers impressed us either. I think I'd rather eat at Fred's Pizza on Plainfield. Alas the void of decent food in north Kent County continues (aside from Reds in Rockford) so GR will continue to be our destination to dine out.

Great service and food. The seafood risotto is my favorite and the lasagna is also very good. The decor is modern and new. The restaurant itself isn't huge, but downtown Rockford is a quaint area with smaller shops, bars, etc, so I think it fits into the downtown nicely. Repeat customers. Nice addition to Rockford.

The food is good. The service has been great tonight. The only reason I gave them a low score is due to the fact that it is 30 degrees outside and they are pumping the AC on high. We've requested they do something, but they didn't.

My family LOVES uccellos. The signature pizza is the bomb diggity. Lots of meats and cheese :) another favorite is the pizza puffs dipped in cheese, marinara or ranch. Yummo!!! We dined there tonight and were surrounded by fun peeps ready for the MSU bball game :)

I know it is new to Rockford but I was not impressed. It was so loud that my head hurt by the time we left. Food was ok, I would rate that a 3.5. Our server left a lot to be desired. Very inattentive and s l o w. There are was to many places to go that you don't feel like you just got hit by a bus when you leave.

The food here is fine. Nothing spectacular, but good enough at a decent price. This particular Uccello's has a nice location in downtown Rockford, which is a plus. Unfortunately, the place is very uncomfortable. There are not enough booths, so you are likely to end up at one of their tables, which are small and tightly packed together. The decor looks nice and modern, however it is comprised of all hard surfaces, so the place is LOUD. I wonder if they did this on purpose so you can't hear the conversations at the tables surrounding you, since the tables are so close together. Is this restauranteering 101, make the place loud and uncomfortable to foster turnover? Maybe so. One other note, the last time we went there, the place was mostly empty, but the hostess sat us right by the door to the kitchen. Worst seat in the house. I don't know why they did that. I don't believe we looked like a homeless family. However, none of us were sporting North Face gear, so maybe the hostess assumed we weren't big spenders and wanted to get us in and out right quick. Anyway, food is okay, prices are okay, but it's not a very pleasant place to be.

Very good. We had chicken Marsala and Kobe sizzlers. Our waitress was Myah H, she was perfect. The manager came by after we ate to see how everything was.
