I have found that the Peppermint Grill has been inconsistent over the past few years. Sometimes the service is great. Other times it is slow. Sometimes the food is really good. Other times it just isn't. If they could just consistently perform, I could give them a better rating and be a regular here.

I have lived in Rockford for 20 + years been going to Peppermill grill for the same. Had the worst experience there this weekend. I wish they could be more consistent with there service and food. Food was so bad service was even worse. They must have had 8 to 9 staff running around this place like chickens with there heads cut off, and it wasn't busy. The cooks need training on cooking and to be more caring when making and plating the food. They forgot food on my plate and it wasn't cooked all they way. We complained to several staff and they where not responsive at all. I'm done here. Gave them lots of chances. I just can't understand why they stay busy. Maybe people have just lowered there standards. That's to bad when you spend $20 on breakfast and get crappy food.

Nice little homey place, but the food was lacking!! I got an omelette and all the cheese was in one area! I basically had to "cut and paste" it in order to get cheese with the veggies and ham :-( It was obvious that the vegetables (onion and green peppers) were not fresh! I'm guessing they either cut them and froze them or they use store bought frozen veggies, but they were soggy and gross! I have no intention of going back! I can get great omelettes elsewhere!

I've been going the Pepper-mill for 3 years. The place is going down hill.Eggs are soggy,they switch to instant oatmeal around 10:30AM. The service on the patio is slow

I am a breakfast person and normally I order the biskets and gravey here. This weekend I switched and ordered the Eggs Benedict. WOW the largest muffins and a huge slab of ham. The eggs were perfect and lots of sauce. Wife had the Bagel sandwich and that was very good also. Coffee hot and plentiful. I don't understand the folks that had bad service, they had 2 people serving the whole place and they did a fantastic job.

Went here for lunch. It was good food! They were FAST! Looks like a great place for breakfast. Nice little mom & pop shop. Fast, good food, reasonable prices. Great place if you want to just do something simple.

Horrible experience. Went here for a simple breakfast. We actually walked out of the place after waiting over 30 min. Plenty of waitstaff, there is just no excuse to treat customers like this. Please, fire the inattentive teenagers (nothing against teens as employees, either!) working the grill and run the place like a business.
