Great breakfast and coffee. My husband had a sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich on a pretzel bun, I had a breakfast burrito. Great prices. Found it by accident, glad we did.

Me and my wife travel a lot, So we try to eat at local businesses , This is the best breakfast that we've had in a long time And the staff is superior. We rate this a five star Place to eat on many different categories Cleanliness , Waitstaff, Bathrooms, Lighting, Food Appearance and taste, And overall appearance of building. Cedar rock café is definitely a number one place to stop In to eat.

Wife and I had two omletes- eggs were over done, had canned mushrooms- which is an absurd product for any venue, yes- even a pizzaria. The gratuitous use of "grilled" onions was off-putting to say the least. These were not omeletes, they were over cooked eggs loaded (not in a good sense) with sub par product and folded in half. Does not an omelet make. Biscuits and gravy were produced in such a manner that the outer two inches pooled on the plate were darkened an odd hue of orange. I'm not sure how it was re-warmed (I did have the feeling that this was done a couple of times since it was first made) but it was poorly executed to say the least- and the biscuits were anything but fresh, not likely to have been from the day prior either. I assume they were frozen at some point, and my guess was that the whole plate hit the microwave before hitting the table. The gravy had the gelatinous telltale sign of corn starch- this is not the way to do things. The server asked if we wanted onions with the hashbrowns- we had assumed to be griddled inside of the potatoes, as you do, instead it was a half inch of grilled onions with the stink of "day old" to them. I'm confused as to how our experience with the place was that far off from the rest of those posted here. The food was by no stretch of the imagination good, or really even "okay". Even for a simple breakfast and lunch joint- it was simply and flatly poorly done on all accounts. Based on other reviews- I almost think we ate at a different place. Look- I wasn't expecting this to be anything special, my standards are high- but quite reasonable. We were just looking for a place with good simple breakfast food. If that is what you are doing today and have reasonable standards for a breakfast cafe- move on to the next listing.

Nothing special. Hole in the wall greasy spoon. Asked for softer toast for my toddler, got it burnt to a crisp. Told we would have to move to a smaller table if a bigger party were to come in. I would have happily moved to accommodate a larger party but the way we were told was just plain rude. "I'll have to kick you out of these seats if a bigger party comes in".

A wonderful kid friendly breakfast and lunch restaurant. Excellent service and fast service. Food was nothing special but it was a great spot that wasn't a fast food chain.

First time here. Was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was served at 11:00. We ordered classic breakfast (eggs, bacon and toast) and eggs florentine with Mornay sauce with a side of fruit. Angie provided great service- food was really good. Fruit was fresh. Coffee was hot. And we were in and out in 30 minutes. Perfect pit stop on our way up north.

This is a wonderful find that we love to visit on our trips from Chicago to Petoskey. Ask for the homemade chips! The homemade soups and chili is great! I love anything with the sausage gravy and burgers. The veggie omelette and chicken pesto wrap are good choices!

Welcoming and friendly service. Coffee is continuously filled and tastes great. Bacon is thick sliced and delectable. Pancakes tasted sweet even without maple syrup (which comes out warmed!). French Toast was good. Eggs were a little over done for over easy. Corned beef hash was cooked well and tasted great. Quality product reflected by the prices. Overall 4 1/2 stars

Seems not many places can make Reubens that are both tender inside & crispy outside. Mmm! They hit the mark.
