For the last 12 years, George's has been my go to for Sunday morning breakfast. No matter what time of day, I always start my meal with a cup of lemon rice soup. The pink Greek dressing is the best I've ever had. I love spreading it all over my Greek salad (extra beets) or vegetarian pita. Service is always solid and fast. My cup of coffee is always full. Everyone here is family.

After the cook got done making lewd comments about my chest he started cooking my to go order. First off when I asked the waitress did they have Souvlaki she said no. Clearly it was on the menu. As my order was being cooked several guests arrived and the waitress wasn't too happy because it was interrupting her meal. I wanted to tell her "eat before or after her shift " very rude to let guests hear you complain about them when their there to enjoy a meal. I could plainly see my order being wrapped up so I approached the counter where the waitress then began to inform me my carry out would be at least another 10 minutes. 2 seconds later another waitress said "here is your order " gheez... Got home to discover NO tazaki sauce and the upcharge for to greek salad had about a tablespoon of feta on it. And the Souvlaki was tough and tasteless. I won't be back.

I have never gotten a bad meal from George's, ever. The food is always delicious and cooked to perfection. You can't go wrong with their lemon rice soup, chicken Greek salad, or gyros! Whenever I need a quick bite or a easy carry out, George is my go to guy.

Never disappointed in the food or service her. Had many good breakfasts here with my kids. The service is fast so even the hungriest kid is kept happy.

We have taken our kids here for years now when they want "fast food". The family atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The food is average but the friendly staff make the restaurant. You feel all hearts are in it making you comfortable, asking for refills frequently and making brief small talk. Get that through a drive through...I dare you!;)

The real deal. I generally think the food at Coney Islands SUCKS! Generic awful food for drunk people or those in a hurry. But George's is the real deal. You can taste the home made flavors in everything and the quality of food is wonderful I usually get a club sandwich whenever I dine at a joint like this since it's hard to screw up ( however, lots of places do try) and after getting the fake pressed turkey at Leo's and national and the like, it was really nice to get real tender thick slices of turkey on this club sandwich. Their greek salad dressing is this pink goodess. it's like love in a bowl and the small greek salad is huge and full of high quality toppings. The service is excellent. they are usually always busy but it lacks the chaos one might expect in a busy place. It's just good, honest high quality food served in a traditional coney island joint.

I've been coming here for years! They definitely have the best prices in town and the best diner food. Some of my favorites are the Greek salads, chicken pitas, and the breakfast here is always fresh and quick! My dad loves the coneys and chili cheese fries bc he says they use the best chili, while my mom ALWAYS gets her gyro with extra tzatziki (the tzatziki sauce is one of a kind). We love the that this is an open kitchen restaurant and we know everyone here by name and get to speak to the cooks and owners (HI LORENCE :-). Best family restaurant in Rochester for sure. Everyone I know loves George's!!

"Family owned" places are usually the best. When I moved to Rochester I had to find a go-to coney, because I always had great ones in Southfield. This place is amazeballs. Great food. Delicious chili fries (which is pretty much how I judge any coney) and There is NEVER a shortage of smiles from the staff. Doesn't hurt that the guys in the kitchen aren't hard on the eyes

George's is not your ordinary family restaurant. We have been coming here as a family for years, and they never miss the mark in most every regard. That said, I cannot speak to the entirety of the menu. The breakfasts are solid all the way around. No surprising items, e.g. goat cheese, prosciutto, gourmet items of the like. No, they stick to the basics wonderfully. Pitch perfect bacon, ham, poached eggs, heck, eggs all around. Stay away from the bagels, however. They are small and not fresh. The chicken greek salad is excellent, with the chicken made to order. That goes for most everything concerning chicken breast; made to order. Steer clear of the hamburger. While I haven't ordered it in years, the last time i did the patty frozen on the grill and lifeless on the bun. Regardless, we love the place. The staff is wonderful, and we always feel welcome.

I've been coming to George's for about twenty years now - the staff is friendly, the service is quick and the food is great. Daily lemon rice soup is phenomenal, and the prices are just right.

I'm not sure I would even bother going home to Rochester for the holidays if George's wasn't open. I was home for about 4 and a half days for Thanksgiving, and I ate here three times. As far as I'm concerned, the most important part of a Greek salad is the dressing and George's will always be my #1. Thanksgiving leftovers? No thanks, I'm getting George's. My only complaint is that they don't sell their dressing in jars, but they will sell you a giant Styrofoam container of it for a few bucks (but it will only last for a few days). Potential side effects: strange looks from non-family members who are not accustomed to seeing you dip anything and everything in your leftover salad dressing.

The food is good and service fine. The prices are very reasonable too. But if you absolutely must have a real nonsmoking environment forget it. They pay lip service to the law by not smoking where you can see it - but go in the back somewhere and soon it is being blown out of the overhead vents where you are sitting trying to enjoy your meal. If you complain they just look grim and won't say anything - certainly not any apology. If you smoke yourself or don't care then it is a great place.

Been eating here for 18 years and will continue to do so. Good quality food and friendly service

This place is very nicely done inside. I like the tiles and the lamps. The staff is friendly. I like that you can see everything going on in the kitchen. The food is okay. I got the lemon rice soup and a chicken gyro. The lemon rice soup had a VERY strong lemon flavor, which I enjoy. The chicken gyro was a seasoned chicken breast cut into chunks- not what I was expecting. My boyfriend got the chicken pita that is similar to the Hani. The chicken on that had a very nice flavorful coating. His fries had an interesting flavor to it as well. I think they use a different kind of oil than most places. Overall, good, but I still have my favorite Coney around the corner.
