Ordered a Michigan salad. Simple enough right? Came out and the salad mix was wilted and rotten. When I told the waitress about it she stood looking at me like I was stupid. She took it back, the picked out a few pieces that were not rotten then stuffed the rest of the, did I metion, meager portion with spinach. Started eating and realized that the "dried cherrys that were to be in it were actualy dried cranberrys. Do they think American's can't tell the differance? When I brought this to tthe attention of one of the waitresses the only comment was "oh". Now my wifes Greek salad, duh! had to remind them we ordered chicken on it, agian that stare like we were stupid, and she ordered a medium and got what at any other place would be a small. Leo., did anyone tell you that you cant screw with Down River American Working people? We WONT BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stopped by for dinner on a weeknight. In addition to the owner?/mgr? and the kitchen staff, there were four servers on the floor. There were only between four and six tables occupied during our time there. One waitress was serving the booth next to us, and by their conversation, I could tell it was her family. She stood and talked to them about private matters for about 95% of the time. I didn't see here do anything else. Another waitress was hovering around a booth in the back, flirting and fawning over what was likely a prospective boyfriend, only leaving the booth to get his food. Our waitress and the remaining one were actually working- going around refilling coffee, and being real servers. If the gentleman that appeared to be in charge was in fact the owner, I do not understand how he allowed half of his wait staff to behave so unprofessionally. As for the food, it was sub-par and un-inspired, but priced accordingly. The salad bar looked clean, and I might try it if I go back, but the chance of getting poor service will likely keep me from dining there again.

Leo's is located in the old Big Boy Restaurant in the Riverview Commons strip mall. We went to Leo's the first week it opened. The menu is large with the usual things you would find at a Michigan coney restaurant. I ordered breakfast, the usual: eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and rye toast. I usually stick with 'safe' when going to a new coney. You just never really know what is going to come out of the kitchen and breakfast has the most hope of being consistent. The other side of the table ordered the standard: coney, onion rings. The joint was jumping, so after we were seated we had to wait a couple minutes before our server came over. That is to be expected in a busy place. We both ordered coffee and it came quickly. When the food came out, it was..not as expected. The bacon was so hard I actually thought I broke a tooth on it. The eggs were lukewarm and undercooked. The toast was burned on one side. The other side of the table reported that the coney was overly greasy (yes, I know it is hard to believe that a coney might be actually too greasy). The onion rings, however, were great. Refills on coffee were a bit slow in coming, but it was busy so it was expected. The general atmosphere was one of happy activity, and there were quite a few customers who seemed quite happy to be there. There is always comfort in being in a coney. I think for most of us, it is because it is familiar. You already know what you are going to get to eat there.

Affordable place for a family of 5 to eat breakfast. Adult breakfast buffet was $8.99 and $4.99 for kids. Not many places that you can get a pile of bacon for that price. Server was very prompt and made sure our drinks were kept full. We may have found our new Saturday spot

Have been going here for two years now and I like the place. I'm a waitress myself and I always get good service there. There is a morning girl named alyssa (same name as me) who is my favorite. The food is usually fresh. I decided to try the breakfast bar the other day and it was very good. All the food was hot and fresh. And they replenished it multiple times. For dinner I like the roast turkey special. I have no complaints at all, except that the rice pudding is far too runny and the rice seemed harder than it should. But the strawberry milkshakes are very good, you can tell they blend real strawberries in with the milk and icedream. I definitely recommend requesting Alyssa. She is a sweetheart and never let's my glass get too low.

Went on a Sunday and had the breakfast buffet. It wasn't bad actually. The food was freshly prepared, hot, and they kept everything filled up. The highlight for me was the Tater Tots! Pour some sausage gravy over those bad boys, and Look Out! The gravy itself was pretty good for restaurant fare. Overall, I'd certainly consider it a fine, casual Sunday brunch choice.

It's a coney island. It's not Nationals, which is my favorite but it'll do because there are no National's downriver. However, the time I was here our waitress literally left us for nearly 15 minutes in which time my sister and myself ran out of our drink and finished our meal and were ready to leave. Other tables around us were also in the same boat and we all kind of exchanged that knowing look about how she was most likely on a smoke break and/or just plain forgot about us. The food was just okay, nothing special but not horrible either. I ordered my staple item of a chicken finger pita and fries and it filled me up but it was poorly put together and fell apart to the point I literally ate it as a salad with pita bread. ;)

I came here with 2 friends for the breakfast buffet. Definitely one of the better chain buffets. The fresh fruit was actually fresh and tasty. Lots of bacon. A few danishes for dessert. I would certainly enjoy a return trip.

If your just outlookin for a good meal but nothing fancy this is your place. My wife and I went there again for the second time last night (12-6-12). My wife got a small salad and a club sandwich. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich but as a wrap. I suggest you go check it out for yourself. Its not much to look at but its bright and open which I like alot. The only issue I had was our waitress was new and a bit slow and with out another waitress to help her out. That was the only thing that I thought was wrong. Other than that every one there is nice and seems to always to have a smile on, which is rare now days.
