Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I've read a lot of bad reviews on other websites for Leong's and don't get it. Is it the best Chinese you'll ever have? Probably not. Is it great when you're craving something that's going to pack on the pounds? Hell yes. Leong's has some of the awesomest (I know it's not a word- it's that good!) General Tso chicken I have ever had. Ever. And.. I love their almond cookies. I don't care what other reviewers say, Leong's in Richmond will always hold a special place in my heart.

We ordered a lot of takeout here last summer and unfortunately the food was not good. I'm not sure how this restaurant has such a high rating. We ended up throwing the food out. We ordered 8 different dishes and none could be classified as good tasting. We may be spoiled by the excellent food in Reno. We come every year for visits and dine out about 8 times, but I'm scared to ever try this again. Our family lives in Richmond and none of them dine here.

Ordered take out for lunch. It was aberage, ordered Mongolian beef, asked for mild. Not much flavor, maybe I should have gotten spicy

Leong's isn't terrible, but it's not amazing. I've definitely had better. The real problem is that you can't really call this "Chinese" food. It really is more like an American version of Chinese food. The food isn't terrible, but when you have that Chinese food craving, this place really isn't going to cut it. And aside from that, they don't even take credit or debit cards.... it's 2015 and they only accept cash.

I haven't found anything on the menu that I love yet, but what I've had is OK. My girlfriend loves their boneless almond chicken and wonton soup. I can't find anything over a medium spice even when I order extra hot. It's not bad, but the one in Chesterfield is better.

Good food, good people working there. The dine in service is decent, and I've never been disappointed by the carry out. The biggest negative I can say is they don't accept credit cards. But if you have the cash, it's definitely worth checking out.

Its a tradition to have the Leong's dinner for 3 with my parents when I come home to Michigan to visit!

I recently had lunch here. Everything is pretty cheap, but pretty lousy too. The fried rice that came with my entree was an overcooked disaster. The interior is dated and feels grimy. Be aware - they do not accept debit or credit cards so make sure to go old school - with cash!

It's just different that's why some of the reviews are bad. They put their own spin on Chinese food. It's not like the cookie cutter Chinese places you see everywhere. Some people love it, others do not. Definitely worth a try however.
