What a gem! I travelled here from Minneapolis, MN. My family was all together because of a wedding, we had about 20 people. I wasn't expecting much to tell the truth but wow...after walking in and seeing the decor and sipping on a cup of coffee (which was actually pretty tasty!) I was impressed! The staff was so nice and accomodating, we called ahead and they opened at 4pm just for us (when they are typically closed.) Each person who ordered had an amazing meal. We ordered everything from soup/salads (which were huge - definately enough to share) to fish/steak. I had the turkey artichoke panini and each bite was truly delicious. Homemade potato chips - not too salty. Again...perfect. The peach iced tea was VERY good. Service was prompt and friendly! We will be back again and again. This is the BEST place to eat in the area!

Stopped in for lunch after a bike ride. Moderate crowd. Slow slow service. I had a Ruben, with home made chips. The Ruben was way thin on the corned beef, very heavy on the sauerkraut. Chips were fine. All on all, I was disappointed, and would not eat here again.

Stopped in for lunch with my hubby. Great service & amazing food. I chose the day's special - quesadilla with chicken, spinach, mushrooms and bacon. It came with baked chips and a cup of the day' soup. I loved every bite and was happy there was more than enough so that I could take some home with me! Hubby had an Italian wrap...so much yummy stuff packed into the spinach wrap that he can't remember it all but here goes anyway: salami, pepperoni, artichoke hearts, cheese, pepperocini, flavored mayonnaise and more! This came with their fresh made chips. We are going to look for reasons to go back to Reed City just so we can visit Pere Marquette Catering again.

Great little place. There was five in our party and we all loved the food. Each ordering something different. Great atmosphere and the staff was nice. Would visit again if I get around there again.

SAY NO TO THE CATERING SERVICE!!!! They charged over $28/plate for appetizers for 70 people. Sub par at that too. The "crab dip" was fake crap, the pita triangles were fried, everything else was just "ok." Demanded to see a detailed receipt when the final bill came in for $2,300 and they blew me off on 4 separate occasions. A month later, still no detailed receipt to explain why, in such a small town, they can charge $28/plate for appetizers!!!

If you are heading to the woods in Michigan's north country on US-131 toward Traverse City or US-10 heading west toward Ludington...a great place to lunch at the intersection of the two highways in Reed City is the Pere Marquette Catering Company. Downtown is blessed with an exquisite little delicatessen and catering business that meets big town expectations. Deb Ahlich ...owner...has grown up in the food service arena and has lived in the Reed City area all of her life. You walk in greeted by linen napkins...flowers and candles... creating a suspect atmosphere of expensive cuisine. I was met with a moderately priced menu and really affordable daily specials... I had a Gyro (pronouned Yee Ro by the Greeks)...Plenty of spiced lamb/beef combination...sliced and prepared with the right amount of onion...tomato...cucumbers...greens and that special cucumber sauce so distinct to the Greek fare. (see pictures posted under photos). The best homemade chips...leaves you wanting more but to full to request... My lunch guest and my grand daughter enjoyed their meals as well ... I suggest a stop over and a little walk afterward to visit a great little thriving downtown area.

I've been here when working across the street at the Yoplait plant and this has to be the, I repeat, THE best place to eat in Reed City. If you go here you will not be disappointed. I'm only familiar with the lunch menu, but they have different specials everyday which also comes with the daily soup, which is never not good. Food is always super tasty and super filling. If you're in the area, this is a definite stop.
