When my folks moved to Redford some 40 years ago, Mr Chicken was almost a Sunday, weekly staple. We love Mr Chicken Broasted chicken and fries. The Chicken is always crispy and juicy, with that unique broasted taste. I even enjoy the white meat almost as much as the dark meat. The ribs have that same great flavor. It was good for a change from the chicken. But the chicken is the best broasted one I have tasted. The slaw. Every restaurant has their own special ingredients. This coleslaw hits the bulls eye for me and my wife. Some are too spicy, others have larger vegetable cuts. This one is so good, we have been stopping by, just to buy the coleslaw to bring home to Livonia. I spoke with other customers who come to Mr Chicken for slaw also. These guys do chicken and SLAW right!

It's been a long time since I've had Mister Chicken and it was still as good if not better than before. We were heading east on Plymouth road and were getting a little hungry. Fried chicken came to mind and I recalled this place from a while back and checked out out on YELP. As it was s still open and serving late lunch we drove over and picked out a 12 wing drummy dinner with broasted potatoes and cole slaw. The meal was prepared fresh and the wings were extremely hot and very crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The broasted potatoes were hot and delicious as well. The fried wings were cooked without too many spices and not too salty as a lot of fried chicken tends to be. It was a good lunch and I can go 3 stars and I'll be back...

I'll give them an extra star for being friendly but otherwise, the chicken at least is nothing special. Actually I have a Chicken Shack closer to me, but I figured I'd try M.C. since it's been quite a few years. IMO the chicken was dry and tough, the fries were just okay, and the slaw as good as it's ever been. Head to head I'd give the nod to Chicken Shack for having the better chicken.

Well......... It's alright!!! Nothing really fancy about the place or favor in the chicken. I've always passed this place and it has its good days/bad days. I believe everyone needs that hole in the wall type of place but unfortunately this did not make my list. Even thought service was fast doesn't mean food was good - it was actually VERY blend like no seasoning was added and on top of they were trying to cook so fast before the food was really done. I had a wing that was half cooked. NOT COOL AT ALL! **Please note = your carry out order will be placed between two paper plates stapled together like u just left ur parents house. Smh!

I can't believe I've been living a mile from this place for a few years and I've never been here until recently. I stopped by the other night when I had a craving for chicken and I'm so glad I did. Their broasted chicken is juicy and tasty with a crispy skin. So good! The cole slaw was pretty good, although I prefer mine with carrots and maybe a wee bit more salt & pepper. The woman at the counter was really friendly and my meal was ready in ten minutes. I'll definitely be back.

This turned out to be one of my favorite eateries in the Livonia area when I was staying here, about 5 miles from my motel. The waitresses I encountered were both friendly and recognized me by the second time they saw me, which was close to closing usually. Their Cole slaw is among the best I've ever had and their chicken is so moist inside and crunchy outside it makes my mouth water just remembering it. I had broasted chicken a couple of other places and this was the best. I found out my good friend who lives in the area has gotten take-out from here many times over the years. One lady said business has suffered since the Fisher Plant closed but I sure saw a lot of foot traffic getting to-go food each time I was there, in spite of the late hour. Inside there are a dozen or so booths and the walls were decorated simply but cheerfully for Xmas. I always ate inside. Aside from the chicken they also have fish and ribs. I never tried the ribs but the fish was good. Small pieces but good flavor and well prepared. I liked their fries but the broasted potatoes were a little too dry for me. If you like broasted chicken, this is your place!

love Mr. Chicken! I live in the neighborhood and right around 5pm you can smell it in the air a few blocks away. the chicken is great but I really like their perch. best in the area. the cole slaw is really good too!

Those potatoes and coleslaw YUM!!! Neighborhood feel, delicious every time! Not a big fan of their chicken though, but the fish is good.

The best broasted chicken ever....it has been here forever and the good quality has never changed. Moved to Florida 15 years ago and still stop there on my annual trip to Michigan. Keep up the good work....

The best chicken in the world! I have been eating Mister Chicken for 40 years and it is still fantastic. They also make my favorite coleslaw. I am not an ocean perch fan, but I love their broasted perch dinner. If my family throws a party, we serve Mister Chicken. I usually get a carryout but when I have time, I dine in. Michelle is the friendliest waitress and she will take good care of you.

I love this place and eat here fairly often, as it's pretty close to my house. The chicken is crispy, juicy and hot. Fries over broasted potatoes but both lose their crunch fast in a take out order. The coleslaw is the best, chopped finely, crunchy, sweet and fresh. Service is usually pretty fast. One hundred times better than KFC for your fried chicken fix.
