Lots of sandwich choices. We ordered an Italian and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The italian was good. Lots of meat, some yellow peppers, lettuce, tomato, which was added to the already pre-made sandwich. The bread had the right amount of chew/doughiness..I wish there was more flavor to the meat/cheese and that they served their italian with red pepper mix, a nutty, sharp provolone...and olive oil/vinegar/oregano dressing. The pizza was good. Their individual slices are lil round servings. The pepperoni was FANTASTIC!!! Not salty and greasy. It was spicy and perfecto. It had the right amount of cheese and a nice tomato sauce (not sweet). YUM! The crust was perfect; doughy and chewy...mmmm We then split a cannoli. YUM The filling was light, just a bit of sweet, a perfect whip. The cannoli shell was perfect; just the right amount of crunch, but light, not greasy. I drive past this place on my way to and from work (for the past 7 years) and this is the first time that I've stopped. Will definitely be stopping in a bit more often : )

My wife and I have been coming here every year for 5 years now, for Paczkis. They were always the best! Full of filling, soft, and amazing. We came this morning, and they were some of the worst we'd ever had! The custards were hard and stale, the strawberry ones were getting there. Almost NO filling. One of them we had, was completely empty! Literally, a ball of bread, with a jelly smear on the side. I've had more filling in a Dunkin' Donuts cheapo donut. The breading was very dry also. We brought it up to the lady at the counter, and their answer was to give us a couple more empty, dry paczkis.. The sad part is, their prices went up, and the quality went down. WAY down. I've had better donuts from Speedway. Sorry guys, but you've lost customers for life. We won't waste our time or money again.

Their take and bake pizzas are always a big hit with my family. 400 degree for 20-25 minutes and presto, great pizza right from your oven. Even my daughter that isn't wild about pizza loves it. Everyone is always so friendly there. Di Maggio Italian Bakery and Pizza is great local Redford business that you should check out.

only have tried their donuts and cupcakes and both were the worst. all the half dozen variety of donuts were dried out and fairly tasteless. only liked that they provided a box for just half dozen; my one positive remark. both cupcakes - choc with white icing and choc with german choc icing. white icing was just straight shortening, no flavor - scooped it off into the garbage. german choc was no german choc cake icing i had ever had in my life; not that buttery, eggy icing with pecans and coconut. this was some concoction of grainy uncooked sugar, no butter but possibly corn syrup and unidentifiable nuts, and coconut. DO NOT try them! check out girl seemed bothered to wait on me tho the place was empty at 10 am. there was nothing italian about these sweets.

Today I was to travel from Saugatuck, MI to see my son in Redford, MI to celebrate his birthday. A blizzard starting at my town and stretching 50 miles along my route prevented my trip. I was terribly upset that I couldn't be there to make his day special. I googled bakeries near my son's address and DiMaggio's Italian Bakery popped up. I called and explained my situation and asked if they would deliver a cake to my son since I could not get there. They chose a beautiful cake and delivered it to his door with a very sweet hand written note on the box wishing him a Happy Birthday......they even included candles! Crystal from DiMaggios delivered it right away still wearing her apron. My son's girlfriend answered the door. She was so surprised and touched with Crystal's kindness she was teary eyed as she hugged and thanked her. I doubt DiMaggio's normally delivers food but with the delivery they made today they impressed all of us today with their compassion. They delivered so much more than a delicious cake, they delivered a gesture of love, a connection in a snowstorm. Crystal and the rest of the staff at DiMaggios are AWESOME in the true sense of the word. I can't wait to tell them in person and taste their cake for myself as my son said it tasted great! I think I will try the pizza too.

We had Di Maggios cater our Event and the food was great. I highly recommend the broasted chicken and broasted potato wedges. The tossed salad was fresh and not just lettuce which I loved. The owner was extremely friendly and generous with portions and let us keep the warmers and return at a later time. I will definitely use them again. Thanks from the Redford Symphony Orchestra.
