They make fresh salsa and serve it up on their salsa bar so get all you can while you're there! As far as authentic and fast, I always come here because the food is excellent and the people working there are always smiling!

Just wasted 20 bucks on burritos and when delivered I thought I was getting queso and it was canned cheese. then I called the manager and he informed me that they only use canned cheese try the other location. I agree with 70% of the other reviews on here saying that their food quality is very bad so beware and go to the other location P.s. Stomach is hurting Buyer beware

One of my favorite places in Kalamazoo for Mexican tacos. My favorite are los Tacos Mexicanos, especially chorizo. This is a different type of chorizo, not the typical Toluca's chorizo. Is ground beef with a special taste that is so good! I love it! You can also try las tortas or the burritos. I personally prefer the tacos, as the tortilla is also really good. Enjoy!

Food quality is going down. Other location is much better quality and tasting food. Not sure why there is such a big difference. This location started out ok, but lately their quality has dropped big time. I went there for lunch today and don't feel very good right now. Food is not settling right at all. On the positive note, their new charbroiled salsa is excellent.

Horrible food, grumpy counter guy, queso is canned nacho sauce, chips taste like stale Doritos, horrible cold food, vegie burro was full of broccoli and rice ? Tostada was ice cold rice n cold beans, salsa had no flavor. Turn in your hispanic card, this is school lunch quality.

I wouldn't get the delivery. Food shows up cold and a mess. They gave us a credit for our order but was still a pain. Also took about an hour and a half and I only live about 3 miles from the restaurant.

Fresh, authentic environment and flavors! I am from Texas and accustomed to great Mexican food. I have lived here for three years and this place comes the closest. Homemade tortillas, traditional selection of Mexican meats and dishes. Salsa is about the only thing I don't like here. The quesadillas, taco Mexicanos and tamales are my favorite!

Love this place. Not as good as the other one because they don't serve alcohol. Lots of food for the price

This is or favorite local Mexican spot to eat at. Like the salsa bar selections and the chips. We take advantage of the customer loyolty program which is nice. Quick and good food and service. Like to see them have beer at this location in the future. Also, like the big screen TVs and warm atmosphere.

I think this place is more of an acquired taste for their food. I ordered a chicken burrito and it was a big burrito, but I didn't really dig how it tasted. Their queso is descent though. Ordered online and had my food delivered and didn't have any problem with it being cold or lukewarm. I will try them again but I will get something other than a burrito.

I've been a faithful Big Burrito customer for fifteen years and I'm so happy they finally opened up a location in P-town! I went to the new location today (a Sunday) and they were super busy, as they usually are on Sundays because of their buy-one-get-one-free deal. They were pretty busy and customers were getting pissed off that the wait was so long that they would cancel their order and walk out!! People need to realize that Big Burrito is NOT Chipotle. At Big Burrito they actually have to cook each burrito, rather than just throwing ingredients into a cold tortilla. It's pretty standard to wait 10-15 minutes on a normal day. But today, on a Sunday, you would have to wait a good 30 minutes. Soooo worth it to get a free burrito IMO!! The employees apologized for the long wait and were very courtious despite all of the angry, impatient customers. I guess my heart goes out to the employees because I can remember the days of working in customer service in college and having to put up with angry, stupid people all of the time. I'm happy to support the local business and glad to know they are doing well. It's also a bonus that they deliver!

Awful. We've tried this place three times now (in case things were a fluke), and we're not going back. The service is awful and so, so slow. The last time that I was there, I watched the guy at the counter speak rudely to customers (a woman started her order and he waited until the fourth or fifth item to rudely ask if it was for here or to go), pace a lot, play on his phone several times, and once outright ignore a customer for several minutes after looking right at him. A family was sitting at one of the tables when I walked in (one of two occupied tables) and didn't get their food for another 15 minutes after that--no idea how long they'd been waiting when I walked in. My order of one burrito and a quesadilla took forever to make, and the quesadilla was basically just a tiny handful of overcooked chicken and cheese in the center of two barely cooked tortillas. We've ordered several different menu items (burritos, tamales, tacos, quesadillas, nachos), and they're all so bland. I've had better Mexican food from a sports bar.

This is probably my family's favorite place for take out. The menu is really good and has options for all of us. The food is just plain tasty. It takes a few minutes to wait, and if I haven't ordered ahead of time, I usually quick walk over to Hardings to get anything I might need from the grocery store at the same time. Definitely worth the wait. It isn't like Chipolte or Qdoba where your food is put together in front of you and ready immediately, but I like it far, far better than either of those two places.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
