I've eaten at this Logan's location about a dozen times over the past couple years. Like most chain restaurants the prices keep inching their way up but that is to be expected. Lately each visit seems like dining at a completely different restaurant each time. The last visit about three weeks ago resulted in average tasting food and my steak was pretty tough and the waitress kept calling us, "Hun" like Flo at a diner. The previous visit I couldn't even hardly chew the steak they gave me. But prior to those visits I've had some nice tender tasty steaks for the most part. The service is just okay they seem to turn over 90% of their wait staff about every couple months thus so-so service is to be expected from employees that come and go so often. Usually it's the sign of a poorly run restaurant but could be simply because they employ a lot of students. The dinner rolls are very good and side dishes/salads pretty good. Fill up on them just in case your entrée is not to your liking. The soft drinks/ice tea cost nearly $3 so be ready to pay or stick to (free) water. Watch for coupons online and in your local media if you want to save a little bit. Bottom line: you might dine here then walk out the door raving about it. Or you might leave cussing under your breath. Every visit seems different as to quality and service so roll your dice and hope you are a winner.

The service was great. The rolls they bring out are all right but could be better. The atmosphere was welcoming. The food was really good. I got the fried cheese and bacon burger. I enjoyed every bite of it! Overall a nice place.

I had the sirloin and lobster tail! It was all very good. Steak was very tender and cooked just as ordered.the only problem I thought was the bucket of peanuts. I watched two tables being cleaned and the peanut buckets were left on table for next customer. That grossed me out. I would think that's a code violation. But did make mental note on not to have their peanuts.

Lunch with my wife on one of the rare occasions were together due to my work on the road. Food looks good, smells great! The few bites we had seemed good until we noticed the ants marching across our plates and table. At least the manager didn't expect us to pay for the infested food. Out the door we went!

I have been to this location, I believe 3 times now. The first trip was right after the restaurant opened and the past two occasions were within the past few weeks. I was less than impressed on all three visits. I don't recall what I had the first visit, so I can't comment on that, but whatever it was, wasn't good enough to earn a return visit until recently. A few weeks ago, I ordered the chicken teriyaki with fries and salad. Waiter forgot to bring my salad with the others ordered at my table - had to flag him down & ask for it (which really doesn't bother me that much; everyone makes mistakes) the salad was average; nothing special, but it was alright. My chicken breast was scorched, yet they served it to me anyways. All the edges had to be removed - leaving me about half the meat left. The fries were the only thing I enjoyed. My most recent visit was on Saturday 3/29/14 around 4 or 5pm. The restaurant wasn't busy, however, we were seated in the bar area with our 2 year old (not exactly where I want to sit with our toddler - but whatever). Ordered chicken tenders with fries & cinnamon apples. Chicken tenders were barely cooked through - I get a little freaked out about poultry not being cooked well done (but not burnt!) My fries were cold, and the apples tasted like canned pie filling. Overall, I felt ripped off after our last visit. Spent $46 after tip on 2 adult & 1 kids meal that was about as good as Wendy's. I do not foresee a return visit anytime soon.

Go out for lunch everyday and used to look at Logan's as a once a month stop. It will take a long time to return. Food was good but, we ordered to entrees and one pop and the total was 29.01 without tip $35 after. They used to have lunch specials all week but, are only Monday to Wednesday now.

They know how to cook a steak and get meat. This is only reason we come back, last time the waitress suspiciously added extra drinks to our check, reverse shoplifting, which we caught and though wont come back. But had a dessert coupon, and we knew the steaks are awesome, so came back. The 20oz steak deal was great and we both shared it. Great flavor, like home grilling. Usually just get the sirloin, cause the cook them well enough so it tastes like a better steak. Still had some steak to take with and the fresh buns cant stay away.

When they first opened, we had a couple of really bad experiences, with getting cold chicken that wasn't cooked through, etc., but we tried them again within the past year and they seem to have taken care of whatever training they needed to do and the food has always all been prepared well since then. They have this veggie skewer side dish that I absolutely love. It's just grilled mushroom, onion, zucchini, and tomato, but it's really yummy. That's the biggest reason I ever want to go there. They also have a good selection of kids' meals. The service seems slow. Last time we went, everyone seemed off their game and confused. They had also just stopped keeping the peanuts in a big barrel and there was a freezer that had been unplugged and was defrosting with water leaking out of it. I'm not sure what happened there but our server was going to be one person, and then someone else came by and said she was going to be our server, and then a third person said that SHE was going to be our server. It was very confused. That might have just been an off day but it was weird enough that we almost left. My husband likes Brann's better. As far as service goes, yeah, but I'm not so sure about food. If Brann's had the veggie skewer I might agree but that veggie skewer is what I'm all about. I'd say it's reasonable, but with not very good service, and decent food. Maybe 3.5 stars if we could do .5 here, but not 4 stars by any means, so I'm going with 3.

I'm not a big reviewer or a food critic - I'm just sharing my two cents. I'm a student studying at the nearby Western Michigan University, and figured it would be a nice change from the cafeteria food. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the large barrel of peanuts, followed by, to my amusement, the peanut shells dropped haphazardly all over the floor, all over the restaurant. I suppose they thought it added to the rustic feel of the restaurant. When we were seated the bread that came with the table was very good and they were piping hot and fresh. To my disappointment though, from that point, things started to go downhill. I ordered a 16oz prime rib with a Caesar salad side and french fries. To my surprise, the salad dressing was a little on the sour side. I always thought a Caesar salad included Parmesan cheese, but apparently this one lacked this particular ingredient. It was only lettuce, a small handful of croutons, and dressing. The 16oz prime rib ($19-something) was bordering on falling apart and was cooked to rare instead of medium as requested. It was also a little too much on the salty side (I have nothing against salty food...as long as it isn't TOO salty!!). The only redeeming quality about my order was that the french fries were quite good. The service was a little sub-par in terms of the waitress mixing up the orders, the separate bills, and taking over 20 minutes to process the credit/debit cards. However, my group was rather large (12 people), and the waitress was friendly and was slightly apologetic by the end. Overall, the entire experience left something to be desired.
