We have been to FSG a few times now and haven't had a bad experience or bad food. It was lunch time and was slow to start but got busier as we were there. Server was very friendly and accommodating. Service speed was good. I ended up having the lobster egg rolls to start. Try them! My wife and I really enjoyed them, and she is not a huge fan of seafood. For main course I had the fish and chips. Not as good as I've had at other places nor as good as other selections I have had here before, but still solid. Tried the peanut butter pie for dessert and was to die for.

We made our first trip to Fieldstone Grill and we already can't wait to go back! The atmosphere of the restaurant is really classy and comforting. The service was also really great; our server checked in on us frequently and was really friendly. We really felt taken care of. We ordered the herbed chicken soup, which was so so delicious. (The bowl is bottomless!) I ordered the steak salad, and was so happy I did. It had the perfect portion of steak, and the addition toppings were tasty and blended well together. We are looking forward to our return, so we can try other things on the menu!

Three trips to Fieldstone and they were all a delight. The food is classy and tasty. It isn't the fanciest fare in the Kalamazoo/Portage area, but it is quite well executed with a welcoming presentation. I had the "perch pike" upon my last visit, and the coating was delicious. Our appetizers were great, and one of my companions raved about her chicken. I have never been disappointed. The view is hard to describe. It is amazing, especially around sunset, but if I tell you it looks out upon a field with a forest in the backdrop, you might say that sounds blah. Trust me - it isn't. It is true Michigan, and can be appreciated by anyone, including out of town guests. The service is good. Pleasant, frequent refills, and the kitchen has never gotten my order wrong. I think one of my companions had an undercooked steak once, but it was quickly rectified with no cost for the misadventure. Fieldstone is a wee bit pricey - which is okay in my book as I've always felt the meal and experience were worth it - but don't expect to get out of here on the cheap. If you're visiting Kalamazoo/Portage or if you live in the area and haven't tried it yet, don't let this place slip by - it is a must-try for all those who wander through these parts.

Went there for lunch: 1. Great food (had the Pot Roast Sandwich. It was way better than it sounded on the menu) 2. Great atmosphere (lovely place, rustic, high ceilings, nice view out the windows) 3. Great service (everyone there treated us first-class).

Very pretty location and the patio has a beautiful view but the food is only so-so. I had the vegetable ratatouille which was pretty flavorless but cost $14.95 and came without sides. I've made a similar dish at home that was tastier and cost less than $15 to feed my husband and me with leftovers. My husband had the trout and he enjoyed his meal much more. Perhaps this place just isn't ideal for vegetarians, but it does have a beautiful ambiance. I would go back for drinks/desserts but not dinner.

I must start with the atmosphere - this place reminded me of a run-down country club - while the view overlooking the marsh sunset was spectacular, you could barely see it through the dirty, streaky windows. I thought the birds hanging from the ceiling added to the country club tackiness, but if that's your thing, then you should at least dust the cobwebs off them every once in a while. The food was mediocre - it's presentation was unremarkable and it wasn't timed properly. The server, although very friendly, couldn't name one popular drink and was inattentive. I wouldn't seek out returning myself, but I wouldn't refuse it, either...

NOT KID FRIENDLY! They wouldn't even make a peanut butter sandwich for my daughter! What's even more irritating is they are in a strip mall WITH a grocery store. (They could've sent a bus boy next-door for bread, and JIF!) There were only 3 other tables seated in the place, so they were NOT too busy. We sat a LONG time before receiving our food. With no appetizers ordered, the cook should've fired the meals right away. My 'well done' steak was more like 'charred' steak. Asparagus was cold. Definitely won't be going back.

Before leaving the Kalamazoo/Portage area, I stopped by Field Stone Grill to get a bite to eat. I had been told by a friend that not only did they have good food, they also had a wonderful outdoor seating that has a great view. All I can say is that I'm glad I listened to my friend. The view from the outdoor seating was very nice and calm - which was just what I was looking for at that particular moment. As for the food, I ordered the Salomon Salad. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting, but what I got greatly surpassed my expectations. All I can say it is that my taste buds were extremely happy. The service was just perfect. My server checked on me periodically, but for the most part let me be which suited me perfectly as I was just looking to relax and enjoy a nice lunch. If I'm ever in the area again, I will surely make sure to pay Field Stone Grill another visit.

WOW, Stellar! We found this on yelp while driving on the highway and were pleasantly surprised. All our meals were excellent. We got the artichoke dip appetizer, the fish tacos, Mediterranean salmon, a pot roast sandwich, and a greek turkey burger. Everyone was overly-pleased with their meals. I rarely get desserts, but their menu looked too good to pass up. The bread pudding was UNREAL. Ate it in literally less than 3 minutes. The restaurant itself was really nice, great ambience, clean bathrooms, a unique drinks menu with a wide variety, and even good water! You can also sit inside or outside and the service was great. I would have given this 4 stars, but the prices are very reasonable, so I think it deserved 5. Sandwiches/burgers are about $9 avg, and entrees are about $15 avg. ENJOY!

We have had dinner here on several evenings. If you want a cozy place to relax with a great view and warm friendly waitstaff this is the place. The food is always excellent. I love the fish and chips, but they need a few more pieces in the serving. The pot roast is true comfort food and the roasted chicken is to die for. They do need a good steak, any restaurant that has a good porterhouse will get a high score

My coworkers and I went here for lunch today. While its a little off the main drag, it was worth the drive. The Millenium group has a 40% off coupon for Monday, but I know that we would have gone even without the coupon. I had the Steak & Mozzarela salad. It's to die for! The service was a little slow, but I think that was mostly because our server had a lot of ground to cover and we were sitting outside. I will definitley be going back.

What a surprise when you walk in the door, it has a great lodge feel. Service was fantastic! Food was excellent, I will be going back again. The pot roast dinner was very good, and I had leftovers, which isn't usual.

When I'm in the area, I frequent here for lunch. Great atmosphere and ambiance. One drawback is the room is very open that can draw for noise when busy, which can be distracting during intimate conversation at your table. Overall, I love the decor, high ceilings, large windows and large fireplace. I love to have their refillable bowl of creamy tomato soup w/ their warm rolls they bring to the table. Another favorite I always order during lunch is their seared ahi tuna. Delicious! Great selection of wine too! I'm already looking forward to warmer weather so I can enjoy their outside dining too.

Awkwardly large seating area, but the fireplace and the view make up for it. The recommendations by the waiter were very good. The olive burger was excellent and wasn't too terribly strong. Great place for a date.

I was very impressed with the Field Stone Grill. Not only for their cozy hunting lodge atmosphere and their yummy food, but because they actually took the time to accommodate my multiple food allergy husband and my gluten-free friend. Before going there, I called them the day of and asked if they would be able to make their Walleye plain (as in, no yummy crust) for my husband's allergies. The woman I spoke to was very nice and asked the chef, who said that it was possible, as they had not crusted all of their fish. Unfortunately, by the time we got there for dinner, they had indeed pre-crusted all the walleye. But, the manager came out, apologized for the misunderstanding and was able to make my husband another type of fish, completely plain. They were also able to make him a special, plain vegetable dish too. And during none of that time did we feel like we were "putting them out". I got the pot roast and it was amazing. I wasn't able to finish the whole thing, and it tasted even better the next day! I was just bummed that I didn't have room for dessert. The only small snag was that they served my GF friend's soup with fried onions on top (not GF). But they caught it right away and fixed it. Overall, we were impressed and we will return.

We really like the Field Stone Grill for lunch. They are super casual and during the week around 11:30 we can take our 3 year old nephew and sit by the big windows because they aren't busy. The menu is tasty and the staff is good about my allergies. As a bonus, they are one of the few places in the area that serves really good sweet tea!

Had never been here before. Got the shrimp for appetizer- very good! The scallops were delicious, although the risotto was under-cooked (kind of tasted like a Kraft macaroni and cheese quality). At this point, I would have rated this as a very good experience; however, my attention was then directed to my boyfriend's face....To make a long story short, he was disgusted with the quality of the steak he received as well as the care that it was cooked with. He ordered medium rare, and received it medium well with char from the grill stuck on the outside of the steak. It looked similar to road kill after it has baked in the hot sun all day. I quickly ordered him a second glass of wine... All in all, not a bad place if you're not expecting anything special.

I hate this place with a passion. It is incredibly pretentious, which would be fine if their food was good, but it isn't. Their rolls are ALWAYS stale, service is slow, and if you aren't wearing something that looks expensive they will treat you like dogs. The last time we went I had just had a baby and didn't have a huge selection of clothes to choose from. it wasn't until I got there that I didn't feel good about myself, I have never been so uncomfortable in an establishment in my life. I have been a few times and the food has ranged from downright awful (zucchini boat with veggie risotto) to eh (the hamburgers). It is a beautiful restaurant with a nice view but unless someone gives me a giftcard (which is the only reason I went last time) I will never go back.

We have always received good service and food at this restaurant. The interior has a large stone fireplace and massive windows revealing a pleasant field with forests in the distance. Outdoor seating is also available. We are always greeted warmly and the servers are attentive. The Field Stone offers a wide variety of lunch sandwiches, all of which are exceptional.

When coming back to the area to visit friends & family, I thoroughly enjoyed dinner here. It has one of the nicest views of any restaurant in Portage/Kalamazoo area. The food was solid. The wine was discounted that night for some sort of happy hour, but the wine list could be better. I later called back to order a gift card and had a great experience -- they shipped it out that day and so it arrived for the occasion on time. Thank you!!

I live in the Detroit area and visited family in the K'zoo area on Thanksgiving day. I was able to make reservations for 4 the Monday before Thanksgiving with ease. The limited menu provided had something for each of us. The food was good, reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. Erica was our server and she was great. I am trying to schedule another visit to K'zoo within the coming weeks just to eat off the regular menu.

Nice atmosphere and location. Food is also good and prices are appropriate. Were regulars here and are happy to have it close to our house. They also have the fsg chips that are wonderful, but make sure you ask for the dip to be served warm.

This was my second time here, the first being a a lot better. I think the problem with the following was mostly due to the fact that it was %40 off Mondays and there was quite a wait, over an hour. That being said, there should not be an excuse for spotty service and quality even when busy. First ordered muscles but they were out. Got the fondue for App which was good. The entree was the scallops with saffron risotto. The scallops were over cooked almost rubber like and I swear one had a hint of ammonia to it....not very tasty. And the risotto was undercooked and the bits of rice were dry and cracking as I ate "Gordon Ramsay would have been irate!". I was eating at the bar with a friend and the bar tender was very busy but we did not get much attention to ask how the food was and I never was asked if I needed a refill on my beer. So all in all not a great showing but I have not given up and will be back eventually.

My husband and I read reviews of the local restaurants we had not yet been to. We chose this one to celebrate our anniversary despite the mixed reviews. It was wonderful. They had a full house because of a party but were able to sit us at a bar table. I had the butternut squash bisque which was out of this world. My husband had the lobster rolls. He liked them but felt the mango chutney was an odd match. I had the Fieldstone steak. It was cooked perfectly and tender. My green beans were warm and crisp-delicious. My husband had the sage pork chop and loved it. Our waitress could have been more attentive but she had a full station and was very busy. She was very friendly and willing to make suggestions. Overall it was a great experience. We will go back and are looking forward to trying the olive burger!

Over priced for what you get. Better off going to Applebees. Nice decor though, and that is what we go out to dinner for right?

I tried them twice, to be sure. The first time the service was horrible and the food was cold and pricey. I gave them another try to be sure. The second time the service was horrible, the food was cold and pricey, and the ladies' bathroom was filthy at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night. Not what I expected from an upscale restaurant!

This evening hosted my second visit to the Fieldstone Grill and solidified my 5 star rating. What you don't expect from a deceptively storefront facade is a very spacious and hunting-lodge-with-a-an-elegant-twist ambience. The dining room is further emphasized with a roaring fireplace and a spectacular view of the trees and greenery of the Woodbridge area of Portage. Translate: great spot for a romantic dinner for two. During my first visit I ordered the seared tuna salad. Excellent choice. It was larger than anticipated and I was pleased with the use of quality and varied greens married with generous slices of seared tuna. The tuna itself was prepared with just the right balance of cookage as to not dry out the edges while maintaining most the raw sweetness of the fish. The soy lime dressing was divine but I must say that the zealous use of lo mien crunchies was overdone and distracting. I would order this salad again but easy on the crunchies. This evening's fare was comprised of the bibb salad and sea salted shrimp appetizer. These hit the spot perfectly as I was hungry but not in the mood for heavy fare. The candied walnuts combined with feta cheese and cherry vinaigrette were a divine salad combination. I'd have liked the shrimp to be a tad crispier and saltier but they were quite pleasing as-was. These are served with a scallion aioli and your traditional cocktail sauce but I thought they were wonderful enough with a squeeze of lemon.

Really, 3.5 stars. Thirsty Thursday = $3 beers! The list is extensive, so come THIRSTY. Nice atmosphere, great service, food tastes good (but not amazing). The price is right tho! My mom and I go here on Thursday's to split a couple of dishes and get drinks. For the two us it usually only costs around $35, to include tip. One of the better locally owned venues of Portage.

Excellent, relaxing atmosphere; mediocre food; TERRIBLE service. Every year or so we try again, hoping things have changed but it is always the same. The proverbial icing on the cake happened when I told the server that my dessert was burned, to which she flippantly replied, "oh, that's too bad," and walked away.

This place looks like a ski lodge and it was quite inviting! The restaurant always has Meals To Go but on Sundays you can eat those meals in the restaurant. Six adults and one three year old shared two of the meals made for 2-4 people and we were pleasantly surprised that they were both very good. We got the roasted pork loin and the breaded walleye. The walleye was almond crusted, pan roasted & served with chive cream sauce, the pork roast was served with herbed gravy and bourbon apples. Both entrees came with mashed potatoes, fresh green beans and warm rolls with this insane tasting butter. We ate it all up and everyone loved it..especially the green beans! I would eat there again. I think the family style type of eating is good for this place after looking at the other two reviews. Great price as well!

This review is after one meal here. We will come back at least once because the ambiance is nice, but Full City Cafe is a much better bet in terms of food (but very much lacks in ambiance). I will update the review when I come back. The ambiance (lodge-like) and view are very nice but I feel the food was only okay. The sesame-encrusted tuna was fine but seemed to be cooked too much (it is described as "rare" on the menu). The risotto (with the balsamic portobello mushrooms) was good as rice, but was not risotto (it looked like they used a long-grain rice and not arborio or carnaroli. The use of balsamic vinegar for the wilted spinach and for the mushrooms worked but it made me feel that the dish tasted mostly like balsamic vinegar. My wife found the choice of bread (ciabatta) for her burger did not work well. The bread/butter we were not up to our standards.

What a wonderful place! While traveling in the Midwest, we went to visit our cousin Karen, and she introduced us to this lovely restaurant. On a Wednesday afternoon for a late lunch, we had an enjoyably quiet meal with very attentive service and a marvelous view of the countryside. Good food, reasonable prices, great ambiance, friendly waitstaff, charming view--I'm not sure what else we could have wanted!

Went to Fieldstone last week on Tuesday night. We typically go on workdays not the weekend. Love the drink specials on weekdays. Always sit at the bar a sI like the buzz. The decor is very ski lodge-ish with lots of wood and it looks great!!! I like white wine so I often order the Snoqualmie sauvignon blanc which is priced well. My two most ordered food items are: 1. Appetizer: lobster rolls 2. Main: steak and mozzarella salad I could just eat the lobster rolls as a meal if I wanted to go light. The steak and mozzarella salad has steak cooked to order with a large salad underneath it. The mozzarella, steak and vinaigrette dressing complement one another well. Definitely in my monthly rotation of places to go and will continue to be.

This used to be one of our favorites. Seems like the quality and attention to detail has gone down significantly. Our last 3 visits have left us wondering why we returned. The building itself is great. If you are there in the daylight, there are great views outside. The quality of the food has dropped - and is often inconsistent. My favorite appetizer has always been their homemade chips and garlic spread. The chips are awesome when they're good and fresh - the last two times we ended up with chip crumbs. I sent them back, but they couldn't come up with anything better. Then the manager proceeded to belittle us with the waitstaff in ear shot of our table. That was the last time we will go there for a long time - there are plenty of better restaurants in the Portage/Kalamazoo area!

LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! My favorite dishes are the potroast, the potroast sandwhich, and the cheese fondue. The atmosphere is great and the kids love it! The service is also excellent.

We use Fieldstone as a family restaurant. It's a great place to spread out and breath with a big family dinner. The service is always great and the food is dependable for a variety of tastes. This place is "option A" for our family. Affordable food with style.

For this group outing we sat on the patio which was a very nice and inviting atmosphere. I had the Georgia Peach martini which was sweet and smooth. The new Turkey Burger was outstanding, though the ciabatta roll was a bit tough. Overall, an excellent dinner choice.

Meal with a magnificent view. Looks like a strip mall but with a great surprise in the backyard. Service was tremendous. My husband said the fish tacos were the best he ever had. The apricot salmon was exquisite. A great stop on our drive from Chicago to Detroit.

The service was great but we only went 1 for 2 on our meals. The filet was delicious and cooked perfectly. Although "bacon wrapped" apparently means "just put a piece of bacon on top" here. But the walleye was the letdown. Flavorless and tasting like raw batter, it was it big disappointment even though recommended by by our waiter.
(3)
Steven C.
This place was a major disappointment. Reasons stated below: 1) We were a party of 10 and the place was less than half full. The service was adequate at best. Steady, but extremely slow; 2) the food was mediocre for a place that charges a premium. I got a the Mojo Pork Chop and it was so small it looked like it came from a Hardee's breakfast sandwich. 17 bucks . Not worth the money; 3) we complained to the hostess and the end of our meal all she could say was "I wish you would have complained earlier." What do you think I am doing now? Anyhow the place is a total waste of money. Find somewhere else to eat for a premium price.

This is my favourite restaurant in the Portage area. The ambience is formal but relaxed with great outdoor views and decor. The food is phenomenal; I have yet to try a dish I don't care for. Their Caesar salad is the best I've ever had and they're selection of food is diverse and savory, from fish to pot roast or lobster to ratatouille. It's a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.
(5)
Kendra K.
I would actually give this place 3.5 if I could but I wouldn't go as low as a 3.0. I think the food is only so-so (don't hate me!!!) I'm not really a fan of the menu. I always have trouble choosing because there is only a limited selection and there are tons of seafood and fish on menu, which I do not like. I usually play it safe and get pizza or a burger. A lot of people like the fsg chips but the dip is so bland and boring! I don't see what they see honestly. On a positive note, I will say that the ambiance of the place is what keeps my husband and I coming back. My friends and I love sitting on the patio for drinks. It's one of my favorite outdoor patios in Portage/Kalamazoo. It's not a bad restaurant .. But I do prefer other millennium restaurants over this one.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Portage. My wife and I regularly go on Millenium Monday's where you get 30% off your food bill (it's also half-off martini night). I've tried numerous items on their menu and seasonal specials and have never been disappointed. My all-time favorite though is the Fieldstone Steak. Each time I order it, it is cooked to perfection and tastes great every time. Our favorite appetizer is the lobster rolls. The tiramisu is spot-on as well. The atmosphere is great. Make sure you call ahead on Mondays as it gets pretty busy and the wait can be pretty substantial without reservations.

Service is going down folks. No breadbasket. No one came to refill the coffee. My wife ordered White bean soup, it arrived cold, when asked to warm it up, it was put in microwave and came back scalding hot. Had to send it back for good. Kids had good lunch though. Food is generally good, my pizza was fine. Hope they get their act together soon.

It's been awhile since we've been here, and once again, I left very pleased with my overall experience. The building is cozy and the view is gorgeous. The servers were very attentive, my glass was never empty. We went there for Mother's Day brunch and I couldn't have been more pleased with the food. I've never been a big fan of beans in soups, but their Herbed Chicken and White Bean soup was fantastic. The soup was extremely flavorful, and they didn't skimp on the chicken or beans. I would've loved to order a second bowl. For my entree, I got the Lemon Chicken. I was a little hesistant to get chicken because it's often dry and overdone, but I will admit, this is the best chicken I've had in awhile. They left the skin on and it was roasted perfectly. And, if I didn't look at the menu again, I would've thought it was chicken thigh because the meat was so juicy and tender. It was paired with fingerling potatoes and spinach. I'm not sure if the spinach really dded to it, but it's not bad that it was there. For dessert, I chose the tiramisu. That was a really decadent dessert and made for a perfect end to a near perfect meal. Highly recommended.

Pros: I love their 'house salad', with the walnuts and cranberries! I guess their pizza is awesome, I've never tried it. Their side of green beans is another one of my favorites! The atmosphere is really pretty, like another reviewer stated; it looks a bit like a country club/lodge. There's a nice outside seating area that's fun during the summer and early fall! Never had a terrible waiter. They offer a free dessert of your choice for your birthday! They offer a divided room for parties in advance which is really cool; you can bring your own cake as long as you purchase food (apps and/or drinks). I really love the look of the place, the bathrooms are always very clean and the place itself is pretty comfortable and fun! The bar is really nice too! Cons: It's a bit pricey and there's not a huge selection if you don't feel like getting fish. Their hamburgers are usually what I get, but there isn't much flavor and they're a bit messy (although large proportion!). Some of their staff could be revamped a bit. It's pretty dark, both on the patio and indoor dining. So if there's something wrong with your food, or something in it... you'll likely miss it (although I've never had an issue!) It's a treat when we get to go here, it is a classier environment so dressing up a little is expected.

Terrible restaurant lately. We've been going here for 7 years and used to enjoy it. The last 4 trips have consisted of the following: 2 trips where it took them 90min to cook our food. 2 trips where the food was severely undercooked. Once steak, once chicken. I've found the management and waitstaff apologetic for the incidents but they keep happening and they seem to have an issue they aren't dealing with in the kitchen. I'm done eating at this place. It's too bad too, because it is in a convenient location.

We used to love going here but lately things have just been slowly going down hill. It's always a hit or miss with how well the service is. But my biggest disappointment is that their pot roast was to die for and over the year it has shrunk into a bite size plate. They skimp on the mash potatoes now and I had two carrots my last time there. So sad, I used to count on that plate!

Great restaurant! I've been here three times and it has never let me down! The ambiance/environment (inside and out) is outstanding! I've only been for lunch, but the food has been wonderful. The wait staff has always been friendly. Yesterday my parents, husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I had the reuben, which was excellent. My dad and husband both had a burger which was good, but so big neither one of them could finish it. All of the burgers/wraps and sandwiches came with either home made chips, fries, or a vegetable of the day. The chips and fries were great! My mother had a chopped salad and said it was wonderful. Even though she ordered the small size, it was more than she could finish. All meals come with bread and wonderful butter. They have a great wine/beer/cocktail list! Can't say enough good things about this place!

The stars are for setting and staff only. Ordered the Spinach Artichoke dip. It was basically cream soup with a few leaves of wilted spinach and some artichoke pieces thrown in. Could not "dip it" at all. The Pita chips were tasty and fresh with a little crispness to them though. Sent it back for another thicker one. It came back with so much flour added that it tasted like wallpaper paste and the chips were limp. Next the entree I ordered was the pan seared salmon with oven roasted Brussels sprouts. It also had little dumplings or hush puppies and heirloom potatoes. Well the salmon was overdone and tasted as if it were deep fried for a bit. It was served over the sprouts and potatoes and dumplings. The bottom of the plate was at least 1/2 inch deep with oil! The Brussels sprouts were burned and the dumplings were doughy and I think there were pieces of bacon and onion too swimming in that deep oil. Yuk! Couldn't eat any of it and boxed up the salmon to put on a salad later at home. Second bad experience for me. Not coming back anytime soon.

Meatloaf wrapped in bacon, burger and Chilean Sea Bass was the order. We love loved our dinner. Opted to sit outside, but my 83 y.o. mother-inlaw got chilled. They brought her a jacket without us even requesting it. Diamond in the rough!

We took the entire family and some friends here to celebrate a family friend visiting. The atmosphere of the place is very nice. Beautiful cathedral ceilings, nice woodworking and a really cool gas fireplace. Kind of a old world, country meets northwoods charm. This place has all the makings of a really nice restaurant. The menu is fairly diverse and the pricing is very reasonable. The food is just not very good. I had the lamb, which I realize now probably does not have a huge turnover. It was very average with minimal seasoning. Our guest of honor from Seattle (who is a big fish lover), had the whitefish in a bag, again this was just not very good. No sauce to speak of and no real seasoning. My wife had the chicken and she thought it was very good, another guest at our table had the walleye and gave a thumbs up for it. Overall the presentation of the food was very good. Our service was well below average. The waitress never checked back after delivering our food. The food delivery was slower than average as well. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere, the menu had potential, but the overall service and taste of the food was disappointing. I do not think we will return.

Ok for the value. It use to be outstanding food for the value. However now it appears that you are mostly paying for the atmosphere. My wife and I use to be big time lovers of their artisan baked breads. Unfortunately like other food items, that has given way to cost savings several iterations ago. Over all, ok with a special atmosphere.

I can't even begin to list how horrible my experience was...don't even know where to start. Service was horrible, food was bland, and I will not be returning. Also, you could play hockey with the dinner rolls they serve!

(5)Erin M.
(3)Joseph K.
(2)Maureen M.

This is a great Restaurant and has good food. Has an awesome interior. The bar is awesome. The tables are to close together.

Terrible steak. Bad fish... Lot of new restaurants since I moved back here from Chicago.. This ones not so great.

ENJOY!
(5)David P.
(4)Sarah L.
(4)Derek B.
What a surprise when you walk in the door, it has a great lodge feel. Service was fantastic! Food was excellent, I will be going back again. The pot roast dinner was very good, and I had leftovers, which isn't usual.
(4)Raven M.
(4)Jason C.
Awkwardly large seating area, but the fireplace and the view make up for it. The recommendations by the waiter were very good. The olive burger was excellent and wasn't too terribly strong. Great place for a date.
(4)Colleen D.
(4)Nicole V.
(4)Meagan O.

(1)Larry R.

(4)Matt B.
Nice atmosphere and location. Food is also good and prices are appropriate. Were regulars here and are happy to have it close to our house. They also have the fsg chips that are wonderful, but make sure you ask for the dip to be served warm.
(4)John Y.

(4)Chris A.
Over priced for what you get. Better off going to Applebees. Nice decor though, and that is what we go out to dinner for right?
(1)Michele H.

(3)Jim T.
Come in here often love the atmosphere and the staff. Try the Almond Encrusted Walleye "wild caught" not farm raised one of the best pieces of fish in town.
(4)Joe R.
I live close and it's nice to come here to eat..martinis are great, service is great..order double drinks if your thirsty cause they take a lil time to get from the bar...
(4)Ann G.
(2)Jenna A.
(4)Michael G.
(3)Michael M.
(4)Cherry K.
(4)Mark H.
(2)Drew E.
LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! My favorite dishes are the potroast, the potroast sandwhich, and the cheese fondue. The atmosphere is great and the kids love it! The service is also excellent.
(5)Tom S.
We use Fieldstone as a family restaurant. It's a great place to spread out and breath with a big family dinner. The service is always great and the food is dependable for a variety of tastes. This place is "option A" for our family. Affordable food with style.
(5)Michelle O.
For this group outing we sat on the patio which was a very nice and inviting atmosphere. I had the Georgia Peach martini which was sweet and smooth. The new Turkey Burger was outstanding, though the ciabatta roll was a bit tough. Overall, an excellent dinner choice.
(5)Lila L.
Meal with a magnificent view. Looks like a strip mall but with a great surprise in the backyard. Service was tremendous. My husband said the fish tacos were the best he ever had. The apricot salmon was exquisite. A great stop on our drive from Chicago to Detroit.
(4)Chris H.
(3)Steven C.
(1)Karissa K.
(5)Kendra K.
(4)Gabe S.
(4)Vishal G.
(1)Vickie R.
(4)Ryan S.
One of our all time favorites for event dinners. Spacious layout, but great quiet atmosphere for more intimate setting. Food has always been fabulous and well stocked with fine wine. Top notch!
(5)Aly O.
(4)Craig J.
(1)Jenna H.
(3)Margaret V.
(5)Gail F.
(2)Maureen M.
Meatloaf wrapped in bacon, burger and Chilean Sea Bass was the order. We love loved our dinner. Opted to sit outside, but my 83 y.o. mother-inlaw got chilled. They brought her a jacket without us even requesting it. Diamond in the rough!
(5)Maggie W.
Great food! Even better dirty martinis!! This is a routine girls lunch spot. And yes our lunches always include martinis. Every meal I've had lunch or dinner is top notch.
