This is White Castle and I am the King. I was in the mood for something naughty, in a junk food sort of way, and I was just reading about the interesting history of White Castle. So I decided to pay it a visit. I ordered the 4 slider combo, no cheese, with mustard, onions, pickles and a coke and fries. I noticed they had new Ultimate Jalapeno sliders and Ultimate sriracha chicken sliders, so I ordered one of each of those as well. Bam $8.79 The lady handed me my change, drink and a bag of food and shut the window. I was thinking maybe I should ask for some keptup for my fries but decided to go without. I parked and realized I was shorted 1 Ultimate Jalapeno slider so I went in and complained. A differnt lady promptly made me one and said sorry. I grabbed some ketchup and salt on my way out. When I got to the car I realized she gave me an extra for my trouble. I appreciate that. Up first was some fries.I was glad I grabbed salt from inside because there was none on these. I like Castle fries but these would have been better if salted right away. Then I ate the Ultimate sriracha chicken slider. I liked it quite a lot, the spicy mayo was tasty and the chicken was crispy too. I couldn't tell if it was american cheese or something else. It had plenty of pickled jalapenos on there too. Is it worth $1.79? I don't know, I could eat 4 of them for lunch, so probably not. Up next were the basic sliders. I don't care what anyone says, these little guys are good. The secret is to skip on the ketchup and eat them while they're hot. Are they technically a "great hamburger" ? No, not at all, but as a once in awhile novelty? Sure, you bet! I love the almost gummy soggness of the bun, mixed with the onions, pickles and mustard. Finally I tried the Ultimate Jalapeno cheese slider. This also had the spicy mayo on it. It was pretty good as well, lots of pickled Jalapenos on top, spicy white cheese...etc... I liked it but I'm more of a traditionalist, I don't think it's worth over 30 cents more per slider, but that's just me. This was a tasty meal and it scratched my junk food itch. The price is pretty steep though compared to how I remember it being. I even managed to bring the extra one home to my wife. Lucky lady ;-) lol

I moved away from Michigan to DC a few years ago and like most people, I crave these damn greasy little burgers all the time. Whenever I come back to MI, myself and my friends and family from DC always hit White Castle at least once. Since all of the Waterford locations have closed, the MLK location in Pontiac is where we go now. A much more sketchy neighborhood than my previous White Castles, but we have never had any problems over here. My favorite order is a sack of cheeseburgers and an order of clam strips. The clam strips are actually pretty darn good for a fast food place. Yes, chances are your digestive system may disagree with your choice of food the next day, but since I only stop here a couple of times a year, I'm always willing to take my chances. White Castles are open 24 hours, which I love since I'm a late night person.

They are slow here, but the food is delish! For their slowness they gave me a free drink. Can't go wrong with that! I got the 30 pack crave case. It was well worth the wait. Folks in my office thought I was a hero for the day! The cheese burgers melted (slide) in our mouths! Yum! I grabbed some fries too. These cost more than one burger here. The fries are like the old Wendy's fries. Yummy-ness. The grand total was $32. Which isn't so bad. The fries cost the most. Please do try this joint as they have been improving their customer service.

This place sucks. I thought White Castle would be better than the microwave ones, but I was wrong. After eating here I felt sick. The workers here also does not wipe down the tables, so it was sticky and nasty. All bad...

I'm not sure what's a bigger conspiracy, UFO's or White Castle burgers...
