This was my favorite spot. Grow up coming here. Last time I was there my order was wrong. I ordered chicken egg foo young, they gave me shrimp egg foo young. I'm allergic to shrimp. This same error had happened before. In the past I brought the wrong item back and swap it for the right thing. It was an inconvenience, but I didn't complain. But this last time, I started eating the food. Once I realize it was the wrong food, I stopped eating, made myself throw up, then took a benadryl. I called the restaurant to let them know what had happened and they said bring it back. Once again an inconvenience but I brought it back after I was sure I didn't have a reaction to the shrimp. I didn't want to exchange my food because at that time I wasn't even hungry any more. I just wanted my money back. And not even all my money, just the money for the wrong item. The manager refused. I felt it was their error and I shouldn't have to pay for the wrong food. Plus the inconvenience of coming back and forth. But in the end, no refund. So I won't be returning.

I went here for many years as I worked for Oakland County's IT division for 10 years. Co-workers and I would go for lunch and I would also do carry out on the way home on occasion. The best that I have had on the menu was the General Taos chicken. It was and it still the best I have had. Some places do it with the red sauce, not this place. It has a light sauce that is pretty spicy. It has a good sweet and spicy combination. I have also had the Szechuan chicken which was pretty tasty also. This is great local spot in the area to go for Chinese.

I remember an old joke. It is about a wealthy octogenarian that gets married to a beautiful 20 year old girl. On the wedding night, he manages to consummate the marriage seven times. She is amazed. She says "I was thrilled at once, surprised at twice, but seven times is amazing! You were wonderful!" He says "Seven times?" She replies "Yes darling, at 84 years old, you managed seven times!" He replies sheepishly "You know, when you get old, you forget." Well I went back to Ocean City when we were looking for something to eat and happened to be in the area. I had forgotten how bad this place really was. The food had almost no taste, and the preparation was third rate. Let me give you some specifics. The Won ton Soup had unfilled chewy gluey unfilled noodles. The broth was flavorless. The hard noodles served with the soup were distinctly greasy as if the oil in their fryer was not hot enough. They tasted bitter. The egg rolls was similarly greasy and fairly tasteless. We were served dinner rolls and margarine. I haven't seen this since the '60's. The Egg Foo Yeong I ordered came chewy and tough and it was drenched in thick unflavored brown floury sauce. I ladled chili oil (la yu) over it to try and make it taste like something. But it still was a disaster. My lunch partner had General Tso's Chicken and he left most of it over because he said it tasted like paste. Joy Geen.

Ocean City is an owner operated restaurant and it shows. High quality food for a better than fair price. Nothing fancy inside...just good tasting food. I have been a faithful customer for years and I don't believe you will be disappointed.

I have been eating here since I was a child & I love it! My husband & I both use Ocean City as a comparison to every other Chinese place we have ever eaten (in Europe & the USA)... So far? It is winning! (& this is in comparison to some pretty 'fancy &/or expensive' places.) I haven't lived in Michigan in over 7 years, but this is a place that makes my "Must Eat" list every time I visit! I've been coming here so long, that I'm STILL a regular despite my 9+ months between visits. The staff is friendly & welcoming each & every time. My favorite menu items include the Egg Rolls (regular & vegetarian), Won Ton Soup, Shrimp Fried Rice, & Seafood Lo-Mein (which I order 'medium' spicy). I've tried a good portion of the menu over the years & everything is always great! It's in a strip mall, the decor is not fancy, but it is one of the CLEANEST places I've ever eaten (my Mom also agrees with this!). Just as an FYI? ALL of the local police eat here all the time! My friend recently came to visit me in Tennessee & brought me (as requested) Ocean City egg rolls!

One of my favorite places to get takeout from. My family has been going here as far back as I can remember and it's always been great. When we were little, my brother and I would get burgers and fries, but finally we moved onto the finer things in life, like their delicious almond chicken and their amazing won ton soup. If you get a large won ton, they put meat and veggies in it. It's my favorite soup. We have dined in a couple of the times, the decor is ok, the service is fantastic. This place is always a treat for my family. Fun Fact: In the Chinese zodiac, I'm a dragon.

This restaurant has the best chinese food. Everything is fresh and very flavorful. You have to try the sizzling rice soup. It is superb- chicken,broccoli,shrimp,pea pods. Delish!!
