First of all, driving into Pontiac for donuts I was a little skeptical. The outside of the business looks a bit run down, but don't let that deter you!!! This place was amazing, even the people in the parking lot are friendly as they are all hopped up on delicious gems from inside! The owner was working with his two little girls sitting at the counter. He was extremely personable and friendly. We decided to get a dozen to sample about everything, and we were not disappointed. These donuts were fresh and tasty, unlike the frozen garbage you get at places like Tim hortons. Do yourself a favor if you are anywhere near Woodward in Pontiac, stop in and get a donut with some great coffee, you'll be happy you did!!!!!

Best donut shop in the Bloomfield Hills area. I'd much rather take my kids here to pick out donuts than go to a chain that serves pre-made garbage!

I just made my first trip here. The donuts are great! The ones I bought were fresh. I got glazed, sugar raised, sour cream and jelly. The prices are competitive. I'll be back to try additional varieties. FYI - They are now open Sunday, too.

The real deal...even giving the Franklin Cider Mill donuts a challenge and with much more variety. Love the owners and the prompt service. I stick out since I am a "suit", but the regulars only add to a great ambience and experience.

If heaven was made out of donuts and warm bagels, Avon would provide them. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place blows the points of the Weight Watchers conversion chart....but sometimes a girl's got to be baaaaaaaaad. This is an occassional treat for my family and they go b-a-n-a-n-a-s! They attract a daily crowd of "regulars" that sit around and shoot the sh*t and say hello when you walk in...a nice change from sterile chain places. The owners are phenomenal....so nice they make me want to drop anything silver and jingling in the tip jar every time! Our personal faves are the "dunkers", choc-o-lot, cream filled and asiago bagels. This is a MUST try.

Dive-y atmosphere with great doughnuts and a good cup of coffee. No espresso drinks, but I prefer plain coffee anyways :) My sister and I tried the Peanut Butter doughnut and Cinnamon Sugar doughnut, and both were great. We brought home a few more, including one with Fruity Pebbles for sprinkles! The guy behind the counter was very nice to us. My only issue? We came around 11:30 AM, and the doughnuts were sparse and picked-over. Get there early to have a better selection!

My office gets 6 doz. of these for us every Friday...hands down the best I've ever had! Love seeing the creativity as well...like the fruity pebble covered donut with edible eyes and thin pretzel sticks for arms and legs....I laughed pretty good when I opened the box and saw it sitting there like it was welcoming someone to eat it.

Really, really good donut! This was my second go with Avon and my coworker brought in the bacon covered donut - wow. To those who may be interested to me it was glazed donut that was straight with bacon and maple drizzle of glaze. Not something I could eat every day, actually I could if they were closer to my house. The other donuts tried all were very good, not too sweet, not to heavy, right in the sweet spot so to speak for what a donut should be. Plus I like they are creative with blueberry, red velvet, bacon covered and peanut butter & jelly.

The smell in this tiny donut shop is intoxicating. The donuts are amazing. Always fresh and soft. They just melt in your mouth. The only down side to this place are the short hours and that the donuts go very fast. I recommend that if you crave a particular flavor that you get there early.

Best donuts I've ever had!!! We have had them regularly at SJMO for years and they are the best!!! Glad to support an independent business that provides a superior product!!! I know donuts are not PC but enjoy them as life is meant to be lived!!! These really are the best donuts anywhere!!!

I live right behind Avon Donuts and have always heard about them but never had the opportunity to try them until today. All I have to say is WOW. Best donuts anywhere! I cant believe I went so long without ever trying them. I will never again buy chain store donuts!

Now this is a donut shop! Very fresh and some crazy flavors. Peanut butter and jelly donut was great and oh the apple fritter was divine. Stumbled on this place meeting wife to switch cars and now been two weekends in a row and love their open on Sundays. People, please skip those nasty chain donuts and go support a local and much better product.

I work about 30 seconds down the road so I thought it was about time I stopped here. Very friendly service at good prices. I got the sour cream and buttermilk glaze and couldn't taste a huge difference between the two but enjoyed them both. I don't have much of a sweet tooth so donuts aren't my main squeeze, but next time I get the hankering I will surely come here. Places like this makes me wonder why anyone would go to those chain donut shops (for anything other than iced coffee).

You are in for a treat when you stop into Avon Donuts on Woodward Street in Pontiac. The donuts yeast, cake, and strudels are light delicacies that tantalizingly dance around every taste bud in your mouth that causes your brain to surrender to all self controls as it tells yourself give me more... You can't take just one bite! They are very delicious donuts. Give yourself a good morning and afternoon treat at Avon Donuts. It's worth the drive. Family owned the product is moderately priced. They are baked fresh daily and at the end of the day all left overs are donated to homeless shelters or soup kitchens. 5 stars! Great Business, warm atmosphere.
