Absolutely great spot. Stopped in for lunch today with eight people. Friendly staff, gyros and Greek salad excellent, highly recommend it!

If I could select zero stars I would. But unfortunately Yelp makes me select a least 1 star, which they do not deserve. I had AWFUL customer service here. I signed up for The Red Olive's email group and received a 20% off my bill coupon (which is honored at all locations with no restrictions.) The manager "Steve", who used a fake name, would not honor this coupon, because he said they don't accept "old coupons," when I had literally signed up for the email list 10 minutes before visiting the restaurant. When I showed him the time/date of the coupon, he made up ANOTHER excuse to not accept the coupon and said "you ordered a special omelet, so you can't use this coupon." I did not order a "special" omelette, I ordered one that was ON THE MENU. He argued and argued with us and made our experience so unpleasant. I will never visit this restaurant again. I couldn't believe how cheap they were being. 20% off a $18 bill, that's only $3.60 that he wouldn't honor for a customer. Unbelievable. This business must be hurting very badly. Definitely the worst customer service I've experienced.

This is one classy diner! Large quantities of fresh food at low prices. My bf and I can spilt a salad for dinner. The staff is super friendly and always checks to make sure your order is right.

Friendly and consistent. Convenient location in middle of the Plymouth/Canton area. A nice occasional breakfast on the way to work - open at 7am for the early crowd, when many competitors sleep in till 8am.

In the Detroit area, there are more Coney Island restaurants than I'd ever thought possible. I've began segmenting them into "cheap coney" and "upscale coney". I consider Red Olive in the latter category. The first time I went to Red Olive, I was very impressed. The service was fast, portions gigantic (tremendous value for the money), and they gave us free dessert. Everything was just right, so we came back another time. Last night, the portions were skimpy, the service slow, refills almost non-existent. My daughter's order was wrong, and it took quite a while to fix it. The meal overall felt mediocre, but it still wasn't outrageously pricey. Either our first time was a fluke and we were super lucky for a great 5-star dining experience, or last night was the fluke and it was 2-stars. As an average, I give 3 stars.

Great meeting spot. Good food, good prices, lots of food per serving. Typical coney food, but expanded dinner menu beyond a general coney. I prefer dinner here bvz their menu is broad.

Got the Red Olive Omelette as a lunch special for $5.99. Substituted pancakes for hashbrowns, and got wheat toast. Pretty delicious. Large omelette w/ lots of feta cheese. Pancakes were a little weak, but they were a side dish so I wasn't too worried about it. Water was constantly being refilled by the staff and they were friendly enough to take a picture of my buddy and I. Great food, great service. Pretty crowded at lunch time as well, which shows the business is thought highly of.

First time here for breakfast this morning. Not very busy. Seated right away. Four waitstaff in kitchen area talking. Four waitstaff in kitchen area still talking. One waitstaff serving table next to us and three waitstaff talking. Finally get service. Meal came out quickly. Nothing special to talk about. Will not go back. Get much better service at the local Leos and they are always busy. I do have to add that we were at this location for a catered meal following a funeral two years ago and the service and the food were outstanding. Not sure what the difference is.

I ordered kabob's I got a KABOB. Yes the S is missing. My Mediterranean meal came with green beans? I was told it came with mixed veggies. My husband ordered a Kafta wrap. She asked if he wanted the dinner with a salad. Well that was a mistake . He received 2 pieces of meatloaf they must have found in their grandfather's attic. It wasn't even a wrap! Guess what he got with his Mediterranean meal? Yep green beans?!. This was tasteless and disappointing.

This is a good breakfast spot. When I came for lunch I got the gyro and it was pretty good! It had lots of meat in a fluffy pita, but it is a bit oily. I'd get it again! My favorite breakfast here is 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns, and sub toast for sliced tomato. Fast and friendly service! Recommended for a good Greek/american fix.

I came in here late on a weekend craving Mediterranean food. We just moved to the area from Dearborn where we had plenty of options. I was a little concerned when the choices for salad with my dinner were house or greek, no fattoush? The waitress said they have a fattoush salad, but it's a large dinner size. hmmm. Needless to say when my chicken shish kabob arrived with a plate of green beans and yellow rice with what looked like enchilada sauce on top I was a bit disappointed. No fresh oven baked pitas, no garlic sauce. This is a coney island that has some mediterranean dishes.

Breakfast is great here at R.O - I have also tried dinner which is so, so - there are better middle eastern places. But for breakfast, much better than some of the other places in the area that have been there for many years who have "lost" the formula (starts with a z ..).

Has been better. Perhaps it was just an off day. The coney dog bun was moist on one side and hard and dry on the other. Our bill was over $20.00 for the table, so we used a $5.00 off coupon. After getting change I noticed they only took off about $1.50 and I didn't fell like telling them in person. I guess my future absence and this note may speak for me.
