The pub is the perfect dive bar! Great food and beer specials, above average bar food, and surprisingly good pizza. The pub is a 5 minute walk for me so I've been a lot durning sporting events. They have some small tvs around and one massive projection tv. The only thing I've ordered and really didn't like was the fish and chips which were a little too greasy for me. But, to be fair I really haven't found fish and chips in this entire area to my liking.

Great wings and beer specials. Karaoke Friday nights, and an awesome local haunt

About fifteen years ago we stopped in here for a beer when we had some time to kill before meeting someone in the area. Returned last night and I would swear nothing had changed. Except for, of course, a vastly expanded selection of craft beers. But it was still a classic little suburban Detroit neighborhood bar. Small, clean, dim but not dreary, mellowed-out locals warming up for karaoke or zoning over a Tigers game. Often at bars that don't cater to the hipster crowd the servers reciting the draft list will stumble when they get past the big names ("BudBudLightMillerMillerlightCoors...Labatts...something from Sam Adams...um, let me check..."). Not our gal last night. She never missed a beat as she got into the Bells, Founders, Right Brain, and Griffin Claw selections. We'd come mainly looking for a late supper. I got the grilled chicken sandwich, and it was excellent. Juicy, tangy, and a little smoky. Didn't come with any sauce, so if you want some you may want to ask for it when you order. I just took some of the mayo my wife got with her burger. Which, she said, was good, though it came medium rare rather than medium as ordered. Only real complaint is the noise level. No accoustic ceiling or much else that I could see to dampen the volume. You get thirty or forty folks, many of whom seem well acquainted, primed for the weekend (and/or late night karaoke) and a bit tipsy and things can get borderline raucous. But one can endure worse. This time, I'm pretty sure fifteen years won't elapse before our next visit.

The ambiance is weird, but the beer selection is decent, especially for the bottles. Pizza is also okay for a small bar. They did remove quite a bit of the tint from the windows, but that seemed to shed light onto a bar that wasn't hurting from a lack of light. I haven't been there for karaoke, but I've seen the parking lot packed for it.

Stopped in on a Wednesday. It was pretty slow for our late night arrival. The service was prompt and friendly. They had a $2.99/lb wing special. I really wanted to give them a try at that price, but I had just eaten. I agree with Mandy B. about it being an "up north" type bar. The place doesn't look like much from the outside. I grew up in the area and I've driven past this place thousands of times, but was a little scared as to what I might find inside. It's much cleaner than I anticipated from the outside. Keno, darts, pinball, jukebox, and great specials. Mostly I'm just disappointed that I didn't try this place sooner. Looking forward to going back soon.

Mandy I agree up north style bar, Mike I disagree this is nothing like a dive bar ! I think you need a good trip down to Cass Corridor or Hamtown lol then well talk. Have only been here twice, once the cook was running late and we could not eat lunch ,second trip we did get to eat and food was a little better than average so I def will stop again, I did not like that they had the fries that have the fast fry coating on them they just have a odd taste to me and so they went to waste but it was my fault for not asking. I just wish there was another option besides chips, club was good , and my cohort liked the burger, the bathroom was clean and smelled as such which is a peve of mine, overall agree with other reviewers , exterior looks like a closed wheat and rye and I also have driven by dozens of times and never knew it was open or there the only thing that made us stop was the customer standing outside smoking ( who defiantly a regular lol but super friendly) that let us know the place was still in business. interior is all knotty pine with clear coat and bar mirrors, clean appearance, the menu is kind of simple design 3 sandwich options, 3 burger options 3 salad options, etc. overall could be a 4 star and defiantly worth a few more trips , good for just a average night

Super friendly. Good Friday fish fry. Menu is pretty small but everything we had was tasty. Kind of like an "up north" bar in downstate MI. We will be back.
