The hostess was outside, but with no clear indicator and two doors, we walked inside and it took close to 5 minutes for us to speak to the hostess. After being seated, we got our drinks and food quickly then never saw the waitress again, so no water refills. The food was delicious though and I would come back.

Decided to try a different spot for breakfast early this Sunday morning while heading into the Motor City. I was thrilled to find this well regarded (by Yelp) independent nestled in a quiet, tree-lined residential neighborhood of the historic village of Plymouth, Michigan. I chose to sit outside on the patio along with the 14 other patrons who arrived within minutes of the 8:00 am opening of the restaurant. I have always found early arriving customers to be a good sign of a popular breakfast spot. Crawford's Kitchen offers a full range of omelettes including a "Build Your Own" option. I jumped for the Classic Western and found it to be excellent. It was built with generous chunks of diced ham, mixed cheese, sweet bell peppers and diced onions. An English muffin on the side was a nice alternative to toast although i admit I gave some thought to their raisin bread toast option before finalizing my order. Crawford's Kitchen earns its way into my regular rotation of breakfast restaurants on the west side of the Motor City.

I always love trying new breakfast places, and this one was tasty. It's about the size of a postage stamp, but it looks like they have outdoor seating in nicer weather. We were fortunate enough to not have to wait though. I ordered the veggie omelette and my friend got the potatoes and a side of bacon. My omelette came with toast and either fruit or potatoes; I opted for the fruit. The omelette is a good size, the ingredients were fresh, and it was nice and fluffy without being watery from all of the veggies. The rye toast was really delicious, but the fruit tasted a bit like refrigerator. You know, the weird taste fruit gets when it's been cut and sitting in the fridge for a few days in a open container.... My friend said the potatoes were good, and the bacon was tasty. Everything was cooked to order. Our biggest disappointment was the coffee. It tasted like bad office coffee. :/ Coffee aside, this was a great little breakfast place that had decent prices.

I love to find little random diners around the Metro Detroit area and I am so thankful that Yelp is helpful in finding non-chain establishments. I came to brunch at Crawford's Kitchen around 9:30 am on a Saturday and immediately fell in love with the small town feel of the restaurant. They serve the typical breakfast, brunch and some lunch menus. We ordered the S'mores french toast, corned beef hash skillet and the omelette that was stuffed with mounds of bacon and sweet peppers. The flavors were well-balanced and delicious. The food was pretty filling - the portions were a good size for a substantive meal. The prices are very reasonable and the waitstaff is so nice. There is a bunch of seating outside and inside. I really enjoyed being here and was able to have a 2 hour breakfast with a friend.

Nice attempt at an eggs Benedicto but not Conquered parmesan sauce was bland and eggs were over done, poached eggs is beginner shit what the Hells going on here. First and last time here #lookscanbedeceiving! #sorrynotsorry Sad thing this was today's special and they can't get the daily right is just amateur Best thing on the plate was polenta & fruit booooo!

I've never had a bad or even average meal here. It's always good or excellent. But today I tried the southwestern omelet. It may have been the Best Omelet Ever Made. Maybe it was because I was famished or the perfect weather while sitting outside. All I know is the good was gorgeous on plate and better on the palate. It was hours ago and I'm still thinking of it.

Plymouth has some strong breakfast options with the Omelette & Waffle Cafe and Crawfords. Love the outdoor patio seating at Crawfords. Ordered a typical breakfast of eggs, toast, sausage and hashbrowns. Everything was very good. We live in Plymouth and Crawfords is in the regular rotation.

As a local, I have visited this place multiple times for breakfast over the last few years and feel I can make a pretty balanced assessment of the restaurant. Briefly: it's a good local breakfast establishment where the food is pretty good and the service is what you'd expect from a small family-run place. We have a young child and they have always been good at accommodating us and all that comes with dining with a little one; though, the inside of the restaurant is quite small and putting a high chair at the end a table makes for a cozy experience. From a breakfast perspective, the menu has items you'd expect with the highlight probably being the skillets. Quality and portions are pretty good though the price is maybe a bit on the high side, though not unreasonable. This place really shines in the summer and warmer spring and autumn months when the large outdoor seating area is open and Crawford's becomes a great place to have a bite to eat and enjoy the fresh air and watch the world go by. In the winter, you'll want to wear a pair of warm socks because your feet can get cold due to the layout of the restaurant and older construction. For a local place, it's great and we'll be back for sure. I don't know that making a special trip would be worth it but if you get to the restaurant and there's a 10 minute or so wait for a table, stick around and I don't think you'll be disappointed and hopefully no less than satisfied after your meal. I want to give Crawford's four stars and I'm afraid anything less will be considered a detriment but because it's a bit tight inside and the prices maybe $0.75/dish on the high side, we'll go with three stars. But, don't get me wrong: I do recommend and enjoy Crawford's.

Change in ownership, new owners and cook, food quality dropped, and prices went up. Isn't the same at all, now just a poor replaca of any coney island breakfast, with same low grade ingredients.

Great little place for breakfast or brunch. It's easy to overlook, being hidden away on Starkweather. However, the ambience is fantastic on a nice day, with outside seating on a not-very-busy street. I have been there four times and the service was excellent each visit, with friendly wait staff who are attentive to details (no empty cups). The menu, though not extremely creative, has a nice variety with fresh ingredients. The weekend specials have been more interesting - I tried the cherry French toast, which was delicious. The Sicilian skillet is also excellent if you don't want something too sweet

Local find, between Northville and Plymouth downtowns. Parking never an issue. Not great for groups. Prompt service once you get a table. On the small side so on weekends, may take a few minutes wait for a table. In warm weather one may eat outside. Great variety of entrees on menu. Some dishes can be on the large side.

Maybe it was an off day, or maybe I'm much pickier than the other reviewers. I met a friend here for lunch based on the review of other Yelpers. FIrst, let me say that I really liked the "place" - cozy, clean, unpretentious. I was warmly greeted at the door and waited on right away. Staff was friendly and efficient. The "MEH. I've experienced better" comes unfortunately from the food. I ordered a cup of cream of asparagus soup, and while hot with lots of (stringy) asparagus, it was extraordinarily salty. This coming from a girl who likes her salt. As I ate it (which I did) I kept thinking about all the cooking shows I've seen where chefs are constantly told to taste their food. Surely if the chef had, he/she would have done something to combat the saltiness. I also ordered a Cobb salad without tomato. I'm just not a tomato fan, sorry. When the salad came there was almsot 1/2 a plate of bare naked lettuce - apparently where the tomato should have been. Very odd. Also odd was the fact that I don't think that there was even 1/4 of an avocado on the plate - just two very skimpy slices. The bacon could not have been more than 1 strip diced. The cheese was the everyday packaged grated (Sargento type) mix. On the plus side there was an entire hard boiled egg and the (deli) turkey was flavorful enough. The dressing was decent with large chunks of blue cheese. Lastly, what I thought was most disappointing were the home made rolls that came with the meals. These were rolls like I've never had. They looked big and crust, but were dense and incredibly dry. Actually inedible...and I've never been one to turn down bread or rolls! Major "wha????". You know, now I'm thinking "should have taken a picture" just so you know I'm not a whiner. Isn't it weird that I normally would be comfortable taking pictures of great food, but was uncomfortable taking a picture of a sad/disappointing salad? I'd like to give this another try, perhaps for breakfast but we'll see....

Teetering on awesome, this diner boasts some great menu items that are done fresh and flavorful. Get there early on the weekends or be prepared to wait. It is that good. Try the stuffed French toast if u dare!

At first glance, this little place doesn't look like much....but don't let it fool you. Their food is good, simple, but fresh. I had an omelet. with feta cheese and ham and it was the perfect size and perfectly cooked. You get a choice of fresh fruit or hash browns and their cinnamon raisin toast was insanely good. It was a thick cut variety. The price is reasonable and the service is very attentive and friendly.

Food was great and wait staff was excellent too. Also loved the outside patio.

Love this place. Just had lunch here with my wife. I had a cup of cabbage soup that was the best I have had. Not too salty, large chunks of veggies and a hearty cabbage flavor. Corned beef sandwich and slaw were also delish. My wife had a grilled chicken and olive wrap with the homemade chips and she loved the flavor. The homemade chips are some of the best around. Daily specials are well worth the price. Service is ALWAYS good.

Awesome place for breakfast and best on west side of Detroit. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and a quaint, home like atmosphere. Menu is outstanding with great choices and prices. Ania and Jeff, the owners, are just tremendous. Highly recommend as a must stop. Can be a short wait during busy times on the weekend, but the wait is most definitely worth it!

I went for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday. It was busy and with a small amount of tables we had to wait a few minutes. I ordered the special... eggs benedict with salmon and spinach, with side of fruit salad. I also ordered the hashbrowns to split with my husband. He ordered the chocolate chip pancakes. Everything was delicious! The waitress was really sweet and they were playing Frank Sinatra, which my husband loved. We will be going back for sure!

This past Saturday we made a plan to meet at Crawford's for my Mother in Laws Birthday breakfast. We had heard good things about the restaurant and came all the way out from Dexter to eat there. When we arrived and said we had a group of 8, they acted like we were crazy/stupid and told us they could not accommodate a group of 8 on a Saturday. They weren't at all apologetic. There were 2 open tables in the restaurant and there was a 6 top opening up right next to an empty 4 top as we were leaving... seems like those 2 tables right next to each other could have accommodated us. We were very disappointed by the way they treated us and the lack of service :(

Should not have to ask for a second cup of coffee from a breakfast place. Service has been subpar.

I have taken my wife and 2 girls here several times over the past few years, it has been our goto spot when we wanted a breakfast that was above and beyond the local dinner. It had been several months since our last visit when we went this morning. I'm not sure what has happened to this place, there's a whole new wait staff except one familiar face and unfortunately she wasn't our server as she is a very good server that has waited on us before, (she even checked on us a couple of times as she could tell that we weren't being serviced very well.) It took about 15 minutes to get our coffee once we were seated. The quality of the food wasn't what it was in the past either, my wife's bacon seemed to have been deep fried the night before. The owner was in the house so there really is no excuse for shoddy service. I am sure that we will give them another chance but at the higher than average cost for breakfast there it may be a while.

I am visiting for the weekend so I searched for a breakfast place on Yelp and found Crawfords. It is absolutely delightful. Great service, cute atmosphere and great food.

I tried this place over this past weekend after a friend recommended it and I couldn't be happier. It's outside of downtown Plymouth in the old village section of town - easy to miss if you don't know it's there but it is definitely worth visiting. It is a very small restaurant but despite how busy it was we only waited a few minutes before being seated by the friendly staff. I had the spartan omelette and my sister tried the corned beef hash skillet - both were EXCELLENT. Since it is a small place it is easy to see other people's plates and everything looked amazing. I will definitely be coming back to Crawford's again. Hoping to try the cinnamon raisin stuffed French toast on my next visit!!

Delicious food all-around; anything you get. You can drive by it easily though. I usually get 2 breakfasts or lunches when I go. Glad my friend introduced me to it (her uncle is the owner). Everyone in her family is a great chef. You can eat indoors or outdoors (which I did today). Very nice breakfast or lunch restaurant.

My favorite breakfast or lunch spot in Plymouth. It is such a cute place and the owners are amazing. Most everything is homemade and delicious. You can tell by the food quality that everything is made fresh. Crawford's offers great specials daily and the regular menu items are also wonderful. It's great to sit outside on a nice day to enjoy your meal.

Crawford's is delicious. The food is excellent and homemade, with fresh ingredients and creative choices. This is the best breakfast spot in Plymouth, by far. Just drive by on a weekend and you'll see that others agree with me. They have tables outside for the warmer months. Favorites include the custard-filled French toast, Old Village skillet, and my wife likes the asparagoissant. Wraps and salads are high-quality at lunch. Not open for dinner, unfortunately.

A quaint little restaurant with unique food and great service. It appears the building may have an ice cream shop a long time ago that has been converted into a great restaurant. The food is fantastic, the owner is also the waitress who provides some of the best service I have ever received, the husband is the chef with a flair for taking ordinary food and making it delicious. The space is small with about 14 tables that can seat about 30 people inside. During warmer days there is outside seating available as well. The building is the only downside to this hidden gem, but maybe that is what keeps it hidden.
