This place is charming and delicious. This morning for breakfast we are outside in the garden and had a very friendly and attentive server, even though we were outside. I ordered the Basile Omelette which has cream cheese and scallions. This was unique and amazing - highly recommend it. The toast is served with a homemade strawberry jam (made every other day) - great touch. Highly recommend for breakfast.

One of the best omelettes I've ever eaten. Good service, comfy seating. We drove there when leaving Mears State Park, but it's definitely within walking distance to Park. Will definitely be back.

We used Yelp to find a breakfast restaurant in Pentwater and landed at the Cottage Garden. We could not have been happier! Lajean took extraordinary care of us, making local suggestions to ensure a fun day. My husband had the Supreme Omelet with smoked salmon, capers and cream cheese, and I felt traditional and had French Toast and Sausage. We will definitely be back!

I really wanted this to be my favorite restaurant in Pentwater, because it's a really cute little place and the other online reviews seemed pretty good, but it was kind of a disappointment. The food was bland. I got the Asian chicken lettuce wraps and it was like your nana's version of the PF Changs dish: generic shredded American cheese, La Choy crunchy noodles, chopped tomatoes and large cubes of chicken in soy sauce. The portions were really small, which I normally applaud because I hate the Applebee's approach (overflowing plates of unhealthy food) but even the more delicate eaters at the table were still kind of hungry when we were finished. The bill was a little hefty for what we got - boring food and not much of it. We had a party of four (one adult and three kids) and everyone had breakfast except me, just water to drink, and the bill was about $45, not including tip. The service was okay - adequate, but not terribly friendly or on top of things. We visited Pentwater during a heat wave and the restaurant either had no air conditioning or was not using it. It was pretty hot and stuffy in there. Cute decor though!

Excellent food with a healthy and affordable menu. Lunch is free when accompanied by parent over 100 years of age!

Nice view and good food. Had the walleye sandwich. They brought toys to keep my toddler busy. Very nice!

Excellent food at reasonable prices, and with a view of the harbor. Seasonal, as are many eateries in Pentwater. Cottage Garden's salads and quiches are wonderful, as are the owners and their wait staff. Crowded, deservedly so, during tourist season (Memorial Day through Labor Day). Treat yourself.

The eggs basile (scrambled with scallions and cream cheese) are the house specialty and are absolutely amazing! Great portions and prices too.
