Hands down the best bar service I have experienced in Oxford. I am in the business, having been a G.M., A.G.M., bartender, and server. I have been to "The Tap" (bar across the street) three times, in order to give them multiple opportunities to save my patronage. (See my review) The bartenders at 24th were awesome! Kristen started the conversation, her and the other bartender were great! Very accommodating, sweet and attentive. I sat at the bar in plain view of the kitchen. It looked very clean and organized. They had around 12 tickets on their line in progress and seemed stress free. The food is your typical bar food. Burgers, sandwiches etc. I did not eat, but it looked and smelled great. Very casual and comfortable. Great prices and amazing service! No doubt about it, this place will get my money before any other place in town. Keep up the good work Kristen and the 24th staff!!!

I have been going to 24th Street Tavern since it took over Rob's Place. I have had consistently great service and good food. The salads are huge as are the burgers. My favorite sandwich is the Turkey Club - they actually use bacon that is thick and not transparent as in many sports bars. I cannot comment on the reviews from the people that have come after 11 to dance, because we have never been there that late. I consider this to be more of a sports bar than a dance club. The all you can eat Sunday buffet during football season is fabulous. And - since we are Green Bay Packer fans, we can go and watch our team. When the owner sees me and my husband walk in, he recognizes us as Packer fans and he always makes sure the Packer game is on a tv, and directs us to a good table to watch it. As for the reviewer that posted about the bad mashed potatoes and roast beef, this is not on the regular menu. I have never seen it as a special either. I think maybe he was at a different restaurant. All in all, this is a great place to watch sports and get a good burger or sandwich. The beer selection is good and the prices are reasonable.

Their food is a step up from normal bar food, however, their carryout is awkward. You have to stand at the bar in a crowd of customers and waitresses. Seating can be an issue and sometimes odd. As for a drinking atmosphere, it's nothing special but not bad for something close.

This place is our top pick for burgers, they are wonderful -huge & tasty. They have great deals on Monday nights, get there early because they get busy. We tell all our friends if they're going to eat in Oxford, this is a great place to go.

After living in Oxford for the last 3 years, this is the only bar I haven't ventured to. Holy wow! The cougars and the drunk regulars were so entertaining. We opted to sit outside since the entire inside was completely packed. They have an extensive beer menu..bonus points. Me and the hubs both got the gyro-very good, you can't really go wrong with that. The table we chose to sit at was the "winning" table. We were right next to the exit gate where everyone had to go to smoke. Everyone sat their drinks on our table and insisted on chatting (slurring) with us the entire time they were smoking. We met some fabulous drunk people. Oh good times.

I really enjoy 24th Street Tavern. It adds an upbeat feel to the Oxford downtown. Every Monday everything on the menu is $5 with purchase of beverage. The burgers are monstrous and very tasty. Personal favorite would have to be the Rodeo burger (BBQ sauce, onion rings). They have a nice selection of beers that are a little pricy (a tall Blue Moon was $5). At night the bar really fills up quickly and I feel its always hard to find a spot on big weekend nights.

I love the food here. Monster burgers and curly fries! Fried oreos are addictive and the new beer selection is great.

Definitely one of the nicer bars in Oxford. Great food, really good menu, nice atmosphere. I enjoy eating here. Not my top pick for a place to hang out but in Oxford it's one of the nicest bars.

Better hamburgers and sandwiches than The Oxford Tap, The Ox, or Red Knapp's. Good enough beer selection for a sport's bar and a good atmosphere. Great place to watch a game.

This was a great local restaurant, however I went today and was served canned gravy, instant mashed potatoes, and a 3oz cup of chilli. Even the roast beef was pre cooked restaurant pack. It used to be a great place, now it's not worth the time.

Do not go into this place!!!!!!!!!! I would have given this place five stars because I almost enjoyed my Saturday night there. If songs were ingredients then the DJ had the perfect recipe I danced ...boy did I dance! The drink were great and the prices were great! However the bouncers there were not nice. My husband and I were invited there by a couple of friends. i was the only woman out of the four of us. Our bill came to $67 and my husband paid a generous $40 toward the bill. Our friends apparently only made up the difference. The waitstaff took my purse and my husbands leather jacket and hid it from us and confronted me (the only female) about the lack of tip. I have never had a man get in my face and attempt to intimidate me. I never had a place hold my coat and purse ransom for a tip for the waitstaff. The two friends were gone and my husband was in the bathroom. I gave the bouncer a piece of my mind and hopefully some food for thought.

While I'd probably give the food here 1 or 2 stars, I'm bumping it up a couple for my experience for NFL Sunday. I mean, I guess I can't really expect too much from a $9.99 all-you-can-eat buffet, but the food did satisfy my nervous football munchies (coneys, wings, lasagna, salad, nachos, tacos...) This place earns 4 stars for it's service and atmosphere. Being from Chicago and wanting to watch the Bears game, this place was EXACTLY what I had in mind. TV's EVERYWHERE, FREE wi-fi (to check on fantasy all day), and plenty of seats available. Also, the service was really good, very attentive but not annoying. I guess my only gripe is that they didn't play the sound for the Bears game, but can I really expect that in the suburbs of Detroit?
