The fish is outstanding! Crispy, well seasoned (not salty like a lot of places, nor soggy). Excellent service. Yes, the salad bar is tiny, but its a galley kitchen in a galley eatery....if people are looking for a gigantic spread at place like Golden Corral, or Ruby Tuesdays, etc. don't come here. They have the basics because they don't specialize in salads. LOVED their Manhattan clam chowder, and my husband loved the traditional clam chowder. I find the prices to be fine (average $10-$12) for a dinner entrée, is fare considering the portions and quality of the fish.

Three stars due to cost and salad bar. Disappointed with the soup and salad bar. Was charged $6 for one trip to the salad bar. There was a very slim pickings. I would recommend that they go to Ruby Tuesdays for some ideas of how to make a good salad bar. Good pulled pork and pies though!

Just tried this place the day before Valentines Day. My favorite food that I tried was the cream of mushroom soup from the soup and salad bar. It was so great! The service was fantastic. Our waitress was sweet and attentive, and the chef came out just to greet us and talk for a minute. Our dishes were fantastic. We plan on going back very soon.

Oh- O'Malley's Galley, I had high hopes for this Irish pub. Sadly it is located in a neglected run down strip mall. Decor was standard Irish bar theme. It deserved one star based on the food, but since our waitress was pleasant and efficient I am giving 2. We ordered the artichoke dip appetizer and that was the only edible thing we ate. Our meal was disappointing at best. I had the shrimp po'boy,( a multi grain hot dog bun) that fell apart the moment I picked it up, possibly from the greasy deep fried shrimp smothered in hot sauce, and a side of half frozen fries. My husband ordered the fish and chips, three small pieces of cod filets that were served up with instant boxed mashed potatoes, he had asked for a baked potato only to find out that O'Malley's only serves them on Saturday and Sunday. Will we be back to give it another chance probably not. As we were the only ones in the place, I wasn't able to scope out other dishes being served.

Very good food and friendly staff. Smallish seating area, but comfortable. Unusual to get this high quality of food in Ortonville. Nice soup & salad bar. I usually get a sandwich & salad bar and always take home leftovers.

Never before had I been harrassed about using a restaurant.com coupon until I came here. The incompetent staff had a stick up their rear. The food was acceptable. Prices were average. Decor was standard Irish bar theme. Overall though, the treatment by the management over my use of a coupon was enough to negate ever going there again. Regardless, I do not recommend it to anyone else. 1 star.

Great food. Master of "smoked" pork! Very budget friendly. It is must eat. Most home made entrees. - 2010 03/29/2015 - Have been going here for years. He has lost "Smoked Magic". Not good at all today. The smoked pork was NOT SMOKED. Waitress said "Will I'll tell them". Did not get what I ordered. We had Dennis cater our parties in the past. Not happy. Sorry Dennis. Hope you get your smoking magic back. Until then......

Great place for a quiet bite to eat. The food is billed as being homemade, and it tastes like it. We just moved here this past fall and have only eaten there 3 times, but we liked all of the dinner choices so far. The desserts are all homemade and the 3 we've had were yummy.
