Substandard food, dirty interior, and poor service. Go elsewhere.

Somewhat overpriced, but damn fine food and beer. Usually a great selection of local Michigan beers that rotate weekly (heavy on Short's Brewing and Founders Brewing), plus the typical selection of imports (Guinness, Amstel, Hoegarden). Fish and chips are great, pizza is very good, and a friend of mine loves the salmon Bar manager Aaron is an old fashioned bar-meister. Definitely a place to stop, grab a pint, and enjoy a nice meal.

Decent burgers and great beer battered fries. Other stuff is OK, too. Basic pub food at decent prices. Nothing special, especially since it has to compare to Dusty's cellar next door. Obviously, the two don't share a kitchen.

No No No. I wanted to like this place but our food took like 45 min to come out of the kitchen when it was so NOT busy on a weeknight, and when brought to the mangers attention he was a huge non-helpful A-hole about it. After all of our complaining NOTHING was taken off the bill, not one meal. Steer clear if you are really hungry, or want to be treated decently. Our waitress was nice but a "heads up your food will be taking forever because our one cook is a moron" would have been nice...

Technically speaking, this is a part of Dusty's Cellar, but a few doors down and completely different vibe. The is an upscale pub with a nice bar area, cool decor and a nice outdoor seating area. They essentially serve your standard pub type stuff but they put the Dusty's upscale twist on everything. The food is very good. The drinks are not super cheap, but good as expected. If you are looking for a semi-hip place that is a bit more upscale than most in this town full of college bars, this is a good option!

One of the best burgers ever!!! Charbroiled and not from frozen, yum-o

Great service and beer selection. Prices are about average for alcohol and food. The food isn't anything to write home about though. Service was exceptional, Allison was out server. My burger was dry even though it was cooked medium, exactly how I ordered it. I suspect the patty was sirloin, which isn't bad by itself, but when combined with a pretzel bun, makes for an exceptionally dry burger. The fries are good, but obviously from GFS. I definitely will be back for the drinks and atmosphere, but probably won't ever eat here again.

We went last night around 7:00 for dinner. Our server left our food sitting in the window for quite some time as all three of our entrees were cold. We didn't have an opportunity to have the food warmed up as she disappeared and never checked back with us. The next time we saw her she was dropping off the tab. She never asked how anything was nor did she ask if we were done...just placed the check down and disappeared for another ten minutes. We were all very disappointed in the food and service.

Ambience, drinks, appetizers all excellent. I was however very disappointed in the crab cakes, I used to love them at Dusty's (my faves ever) but that didn't last. Love bringing out of towners here. So worth it!

Amazing food, great beer, and a comfortable atmosphere. The Tap Room is my favorite place to meet with clients for lunch and with friends for a drink.

Great food! Great service! ...Two time in a row even! This place is out of the way for us and we randomly found it on open table. One more road trip later we are back and still happy with our meal and our service!

My husband and I recently went to the Tap Room and I was completely underwhelmed. I'm hoping it was an off night for the kitchen because our food was bland and neither of us finished our meals. I ordered the torta rustica, the turkey tasted like Oscar Meyer lunch meat and was in need of some serious seasoning. My husband's stuffed chicken tasted like wedding buffet food, the mashed potatoes were even bad. For a restaurant associated with Dusty's Cellar I was extremely disappointed. While the service was good and our dessert was delicious I was left wondering what happened to my favorite date night spot. We will try The Tap Room again in hopes that it was just an off night but not until I get this bad taste out of my mouth.

A decent bar... Being an off shoot of Dusty's restaurant I would maybe expect alittle more uniqueness maybe? Nonetheless the food was good and they have a full stock bar and many beers... Service was good.

We had a group of 16 for brunch today... Wonderful service in a small private room with a fire place. We could not have asked for anything more. We will be back again and again. Michigan Hickory Tour

The perfect place for an awkward first date. or a break up. Those are some of our most memorable experiences with the tap room. Regardless, delicious food, high quality ingredients, great beer selection, and competent wait staff. Also--towers of beer and outdoor seating. We've had things ranging from spinach artichoke dip to turkey sandwiches on a pretzel bun, cheeseburgers to salads. All met with the bethycorn stamp of approval. The tap room is the red-headed step child (not really) of one of the best restaurants in town--Dusty's Wine Cellar--so you know the quality is good. The Tap Room is more of a high-class bar atmosphere rather than restaurant. In conclusion, if you want to break up, or want to make sure your date is in public (he might be a creeper!), go here!

I'll go for the wine, beer, and cougar hunting but not the food. Had the worst dried just mehhh chicken sandwich ever and haven't eaten there since. But I have been picked up by cougars there 3 times so that's why I keep going back. Yay for wine night :)

I have eaten here several times while I was working in Lansing with a few of my coworkers. Each time it was very good which is why is why we kept going back. Great pub food. Love the pretzel buns. The stuffed pretzels were good too. However, once they were overcooked to the point they were not chewy. We ate them, but not nearly as good as when they are still soft and chewy. One of my dinner guest commented that the spinach and artichoke dip was the best she ever had. Quite the compliment. Very cheesy. If I am back in Lansing, I will be back.

This is one a my favorite places to eat. It is classy spin on a "chill bar", with excellent food at a reasonable price. It's rotating tap menu is great as well for someone who is a beer enthusiast like I am. I you are looking for a bar to have some good food and good service go hear. My only complaint would be the beer price adds up quick but that is because they mostly serve microbrews, which some can be far more expensive then others due to brewery size variations, which I would never really complain about because I love a good brew regardless.

Dusty's Tap Room offers just what most Michiganders want on a cold evening - the game on a flatscreen, pretty blonde girls behind the bar, and greasy bar food. What you may not appreciate, however, is the long wait between the time you order that food and the time it arrives. For the price, you would expect faster service for sure. This place isn't super fancy, but its notably more expensive than comparable establishments in the area.

We tried Dusty's as an attempt to find a new awesome spot in the Lansing area. It was such a let down, because the food was bland, the prices were too high for their value, and the ambiance left a lot to be desired.
(2)Jamie T.
Not much food for a high price. My husband and I had received a gift cert and we were not impressed at all. Our food was dry and flavorless. We don't go back.
(3)Adam Y.
Over priced with tiny portions and no sides included. Shepherds pie was poorly executed and the chili left a lot to be desired. Service was also slow but still worlds better than their restaurant next door.

Still great. This time around I ordered the beef nachos. It is a large portion with a good amount of beef. As always our server was helpful and friendly. This is a great place to meet friends for food and drinks.
