I used like this stand alone store however they could definitely improve on customer service. I was just scolded for recommending my husband use a straw for a stirrer. I realize the store is busy and they were behind putting out supplies but the customers are the folks that bring in the business. I was not trying to be rude but the barista with the beard didn't have to have a short tone. I had not said a word but definitely mentioned to the store this would be my last time at this location. It's hard to find good workers these days even in job starved Michigan. Too bad.

It *is* a tiny Starbucks. If you are looking for a place to hang out, this is probably not your stop. If you want to get in and out with a coffee beverage, they seem to have you covered. They do not, however, have a drive-thru. So if you are looking for that, keep on going. The beverage I ordered was fully up to my expectations and I had no complaints. The unisex bathroom was of acceptable cleanliness.

I'm not exactly sure why this location has such bad reviews. Aside from the very small location, I haven't experienced the poor customer service that the rest of the reviewers have. During peak times, it can get quite crowded. The line even wraps around straight to the entrance...but that happens at a lot of starbucks locations. They must be doing something right, they have been in this location for years.

This is just a "okay" Starbucks. The service was pretty friendly, but the store is so small and there is not a good flow to the line/store. When I was there the line was probably a typical line for a Starbucks, but since the store is so small you couldn't get by easily to grab milk or sugar for your drinks. Not a good Starbucks to hang out at, but drinks themselves were good.

This is an update to a previous review. The store looks cleaner than before and the service is better; although it was unbearably warm inside today. I'm not sure if this (the temperature) is normal or not.

This is a small place, waiting time is too long. Not happy with the service as well. Only positive remark is the location; easy access, plenty of parking. I think lots of improvement required to meet Starbuks standard.

The worst Starbucks Most Starbucks have a "yes" attitude where they really want to help the customer. I bought some Starbucks beans at Costco and brought the bag in and asked them to grind it for me (I also bought a cup of coffee and water). The barista was trying everything in her power to avoid doing it for me. "We're not allowed, grind it yourself what am in supposed to put it in?" I finally found a barista who was actually friendly and she was happy to grind it. Also the bag of coffee beans gets you a "star" in their customer reward program. I asked them to help me redeem it and they said it definitely is not a "star" but rather an enticement to sign up for the program. I figured it out on my own and of course I got the star. They have a negative attitude here.

Supposed to open at 5:30, handwritten sign in the door says they will open at 6am. I know this is a tough hour to get up and get moving but nothin worse then needing coffee and having to wait on the store to open late... #coffeefail

This place is so small and cramped for starters. There is no great flow. Also, it's beyond slow. Slow to order, slow to pay, slow to receive your beverage(s). And the drinks are not up to par. It just isn't a great location. It's subpar. Meh.

This is a good Starbucks location. Good selection of cookies and pastries, they have all the brews that I like so you don't have to settle for something else. Not a big deal but it's nice that they have a scanner so they can scan your Starbucks card off your phone so you don't have to hand it over. At least it's nice if you are a regular Starbucks customer :-) All the baristas were very pleasant to talk with and efficient, I've learned not to expect it at every Starbucks location.

I have to agree with many of the reviewers - this is not your typical Starbucks, and not in a good way. I just moved to Michigan a few months ago and was happy at first to see this store close by to where I live. But after several visits of witnessing employees arguing with each other and unsanitary environment, along with the cramped size of the store, I decided to drive a couple miles more to go to better Starbucks stores (stores which are more typical of the Starbucks experience). This location needs to be bulldozed to the ground and rebuilt, with better management put in place.

Who knew a Starbucks could be so crappy! Apparently all that have been here before and reviewed it. Unfortunately, when its Sunday, you're out with the kids and slightly hungover, a regular brew just won't do it, so we stopped at Starbucks for a pick me up during our typical "family" errands today. There is only seating for about 12 people in this place. You'd think they'd actually make an effort to get boxes and supplies out of the way because of the lack of seating...but nope, not the case. Coffee was average, I'm a Biggby girl so I always find Starbucks to be really bitter... but still better than nothing, right? Literally had to sit at 2 different tables with my two kids and hubby in tow. Staff was not welcoming. I would have made the extra trek down to the Biggby at Grand River and Novi road, but I had a Christmas gift card to use so we stayed. Don't see myself going back to this location.

I work right next to this location so I am a regular here. I have to agree with some reviews that the workers may appear like they don't really care about you, but with how busy it gets in that extremely small space that they have been given I really don't blame them. Especially because I see how people act and half of the time they aren't prepared to order.. If you're in a small establishment with a crap ton of people BE PREPARED. I'd like to think they are nicer to me because I am a regular and because I do tip them. I've had conversations/short dumb jokes with them. It's like anyone you see on a day to day basis, you're going to be nicer. That's just human nature. If I had to be crammed in that location and dealing with as much traffic as I see during their slow times then I wouldn't be very chatty with someone I'm going to see once in a blue moon. They have never made my drinks wrong. Only absolutely perfect, actually. They are the ones who made me fall in love with a certain drink order.

Where too begin.... First of all this store is old and about the size of my garage(about 700ft). It's in a horrible location for a Starbucks, but finds itself always busy? I guess this just shows that in general the American public has no sense of taste or smell anymore. Just give it them from a bag. slap a Starbucks sticker on it. have it come from a factory and it has to be good? Right :) I received this report from a trusted friend of mine who I will refer too as SWIM(Someone Who Isn't Me). I've known this person all my life and would stake my life on his information as 100% accurate. He would call me every night and tell me the most horrible stories about what was going on at this Starbucks. I so take it upon myself to set the record straight. SWIM used to work here and gave me the inside scoop on the place. While they worked there (2 months was all they could stand) they had to deal with a broken ice machine at least once a week and a bathroom that was broken more days than it was usable. 2 MONTHS WITH NO BATHROOM!!! SWIM was told he had to use his break time to run across the parking lot to Subway to use their bathroom/ ON HIS BREAK! Some of the staff our friendly and really try to cover for the rest of the bunch. They do the best they can with the amount of messed up equipment in the store. However, for the most part (management included) most of the employees don't give a damn. This store is run like a joke! My friend SWIM observed on many occasions a general lack of care when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene around the store. A food item would fall on the floor and the person that had dropped the utensil or food item would look around to see if anyone saw, wash it off, and continue on using. SWIM went nuts at this type of behavior and was told that since he was a newer employee he was to keep his mouth shut and get back to work. "We just don't have the time to sterilize anything that falls on the floor when we have a line out the door". Finally, SWIM had to spend 8 or more hours of his shift regularly standing in a pool of water. The drain had broken and underneath the anti-slip mats was a pool of water that had collected on the floor. SWIM said it came from the ice machine or one of the pipes. He jokingly called it 'Lake Starbucks'. I wasn't laughing. Team morale at this store couldn't get any lower. SWIM and the shift supervisor went nose to nose in front of a line of customers about a break situation. The shift supervisor came back 15 mins late from therr scheduled break. SWIM had to get in the middle of the fighting two employees before it got heated past the verbal stage. Having morale so low can only lead employees to hate their jobs and have no respect for those in charge. It always makes them feel worthless and care less about their job and keep up good standards. Again, SWIM believes that a lot of this falls of the manager of the store. The manager was hardly ever there and when she was spent most of there time in the back room hiding. I hate to come out like this and bash a Starbucks store, but what SWIM saw was just unacceptable. SWIM wanted to do something about this and was told time and time again that "this is the store where old things come to die" and a repeated promise that "Starbucks is going to knock down the entire store and build a new one". Well SWIM quit over 6 months ago and still SWIM hasn't seen any construction of a new store. Lastly, I want to make it clear that the great majority of Starbucks aren't run like this and this store just needs to be closed. This apple is spoiling the bunch. -------------------- This really has nothing to do with this store in general just sort of a pet-eve of mine. Starbucks prices are outrageous! $2.50 for a cake pop? A piece of cake the size of a golf ball, covered in frosting on the end of a stick, $2.50!!?!?! They are good don't get me wrong, but that's purely criminal to charge that much. It's the same way with EVERYTHING else in the store. The cake pop is the cheapest product they carry for Pete sake!. The prices and calories are so enormously inflated I'm surprised they haven't been sued like McDonalds.

I visit A LOT of different Starbucks- as I am addicted to my soy lattes. This location is always busy, with a sizable line. As I waited in line today, I got up to the register to order and after getting something for my boys, I ordered my soy pumpkin spice latte, and I was told they were "out of soy milk" because their truck comes tomorrow. WTH!!!! If someone messed up and didn't order enough soy milk, then someone needs to run to the store and buy some! I would not have stood in line, or ordered drinks for my boys at that location if I would have known I would not be getting my soy latte- uggg! I will not be back for a while.

I hate this Starbucks. It's just about the worst one I've been to in the whole country. Staff is unaccommodating and rude if you are not a regular. Every paying customer should be treated the same. I remember coming in one time years ago behind some women carrying her dog in. Any other food establishment would have kindly asked her to take the dog outside due to health laws. But she was a regular and they looked past it. It's very tiny and cold. I've only ended up here on the rare occasion that I'm in the shopping plaza and a friend wants to go there. Otherwise I try to frequent the one in Downtown Northville.

I work at a very noteworthy place in the area. Where I can direct MANY patrons to this location. I am happy I am not a spiteful person because if I were, all the people I come in encounter with would get redirected to the EXCEPTIONAL consistant and clean starbucks that is located on 14mile and novi rd. There staff go above and beyond. Unlike this one. I have been to this starbucks several times but I can recall 3 times within the past couple of weeks. I wanted a spinach egg white sandwich that my colleague suggest I try. This location is ALWAYS out of that particular sandwich,ALWAYS out of the birthday cake cake pops. I have never seen a starbucks this TACKY. The gentleman who informed me twice that they were out of the items is very nonchalant and you realize the fact that you as a patron went out of your way to go to that location didn't mean a thing to that ASSOCIATE. He usually works in the evening and if he reads this he will know exactly who he is and exactly who I am. I kindly asked him for a manager and he proudly informed me that that location doesn't have a manager. How sweet, so of course I know I have other options in reporting this. This is just feedback to help him improve and to help this location get a better name for itself. Starbucks is very popular we don't just go there because they sell overpriced coffee. We go there because of it's fine consistent service. This location is lacking. Tonight I went in asking for a spinach eggwhite sandwich and this time they DID have the sandwich. I was just unable to get one. Why? To answer your question from the gentleman it was because they cut there ovens off a hour before they close. He was also tossing the pastries before the doors were locked. Maybe this location should consider closing a hour early if they are going to shut down a hour before closing. This is just a suggestion. Well I have reported the service I received tonight but I will try to get in contact with someone else. I am a EXPERT in customer service. I know how to give it, demonstrate it and RECEIVE IT. Hopefully this yelp review is posted to the right location this is for the one that is connected to Jared Jewelers. I went in 5/5/12 the gentleman who took my order was polite. The ladies were very rude. The staff needs some serious training especially during rush times.
