This is just another Olgas. Located in the mall near JC PENNY. Nothing spectacular to say. Quick service, good food. Although i tried the steak and cheese. Wasnt that good. No flavor really. Server was nice but she was just a plain server. Id go back just because it is inside the mall so i can shop before or after.

Long time ago, when I was a young man. Not a day passes I don't think of her and the promise that I made ... which I will always keep ... that one, perfect day at Olga's Kitchen ... uhhh, had the Original Olga's and the White Bean Chicken Chili, food was good, service was fine, great place to kill some time/wait out I-696 traffic. True story, ;).

As a young person its very likely that I had my first ever Gyro at Olga's. Since that time it has become something of a Michigan tradition. This location seemed to be hopping, but our waitress was very attentive and we always had plenty of Snackers to fill us up before the food arrived. I'm honestly not sure how you'll feel about a Gyro from Olga's if you are used to them from more authentic Greek restaurants but Olga's is a great place for Family Dining at a decent price.

Compared to similar restaurants of this type, this place is really nice! The service was so much better than at any other Olga's I've been to. The food tasted better as well and even the portion size seemed bigger and I hadn't even been drinking! There are so many restaurant options here but if you just want something good, simple and inexpensive, this is a good option.

We dine here often now that the 3-cheese Olga is my son's favorite sandwich in the world. The shwarma Olga is very solid, but their prices are a high for what you receive. The sandwiches don't come with fries and their side salads are teeny tiny. This service is usually good, but can be a bit slow during busy times. Overall its a good lunch spot.

I never need to look at the menu. I can't come to Michigan and not order my usual three cheese Olga (with no onions). I can't complain, it was as good as always. The nice thing about this Olga's is that it is right inside from the Mall entrance by JC Penney's near Macy's. Service is fast. I am not a mall fan, but parking is easy. P.S. Try their new lemon cheesecake. It is big enough to share, and you can get it FREE with the Yelp app check-in.

OMG!!! I go to Olga's kitchen with my friends while we are at the mall because we were really hungry. First of all, the service was bad. It took forever to get into Olga's. I understand because it's labor day, but can't you just like close it or something? After standing in line for 25 minutes, we finally for a seat in the restaurant. We order snackers because we were starving. We ask this one server for napkins and silverware because we didn't get any and she said "Sure". After waiting 10 minutes for our silverware+napkins, my friend got up and grabbed some because she never came back. The food didn't take that long, but when she gave me another water, there was snacker seasoning on it. What the heck? I didn't ask for that. I didn't drink the water because it was so gross. Our server took a very long time to get the bill and we had to go because we only had 30 minutes of shopping left. Overall, slow and bad service.

We had never been to an Olga's before, but I received a gift card during the holidays last year and figured since we were out shopping and hungry, why not use it. Wait was not bad. 10 minutes or so. However, there were many empty (yet needed to be cleaned) tables. Weren't sure what that was all about. When we were seated, my husband picked up the faint scent of vomit.. I ordered the original Olga, my husband the chicken shwarma and our son the hot dog (off the kids menu). We also ordered the spinach and feta snackers. That's where it really went wrong.... As I was eating the snackers (you dip the pita into the spinach/feta mix), I found a hair. Now, I some times cut these things slack since it could have been one of mine, but when a second one came out, I knew that was not the case. I left it on the plate and when the server came by, I told her about it. She took the plate back to the kitchen (looked like it) and then took the cost off our bill and apologised. We paid the bill and left. Over all, the service was okay. The server was nice and since my son finished his lunch, she let him pick from her treasure box (had wrapped candy in it). However, between the vomit smell and the hair in the dip, we will not be back any time soon. I had good hopes for Olga's, but this experience ruined it for us. Food was decent. I would not eat here regularly even if I had given it 5 stars since we just don't eat out at places like this often (mall food).

3 stars for the food and service, 3.5 for the Throwback Thursday promotion. I came for the 1989 prices today (Original Olga's - $3.25, seasoned fries - $1.15, pizza snackers - $.70, orange creme cooler - $1.50). We ordered the sandwich, fries, and pizza snackers for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the quantity of food for the price we were paying. Olga's does not skimp on quantity however, the pita around the sandwich wasn't fully toasted. It was a bit soggy as were the snackers. Everything was tasty and for two portions of 3 choices from the TBT menu, our meal came to be $10.81. That's crazy! The waitress that served us was nice but never refilled our waters. I'm glad I came and there wasn't too much of a wait. This location definitely beats the other Olga's-mall location on 6 mile and Halsted.

I worked at Olga's for 4 years or so through high school. I LOVED it. I waited on Olga. BUT: The do always change their menu, like Rachel B. said. WTF? I, too, have a favorite. This time, I couldn't order it because they couldn't make what I wanted - this location is a "pilot store". This latest revamp of the menu took what I liked off so I ordered the veggie. Guess what Olga?!?! You SUCK at making hummus. Don't try to compete with the Middle Eastern cuisine around here cause you can't. A few months ago they started seasoning their fries - super sick. They took the garlic salt and that orange spice from the table which stinks, and their replacement shakers, while fancy, are inherently sticky. And none of the locations have the same thing. It just sucks. (Update - they sent an email to my Yelp asking for contact information. Impressive! I may edit my review depending on how my sucky experience is handled)

I've always been a fan of Olga's, so I sought refuge here looking for something warm on a cold day. It was 11:30 on a weekday so the mall was pretty empty. Still, it's weird how some of the booths face out into the mall so you watch people walk by and they get to watch you eat your food. The seating is my only negative. Needing something warm and something new, I settled for the white chicken chili and the snackers, which are pretty much a must whenever I go to Olga's. But the chili is something I never tried. It was just the way I love chili. A balance of beans and thin strips of chicken. The base itself was thick, and overall, hearty and rich, which is exactly what I wanted. I would've preferred it to have a bit more spice, but chilis at chain restaurants tend to be on the mild side anyway. Service was great.

I have always loved Olga's, but my last three visits (to 3 different locations) have left me with a "bad taste in my mouth." They are constantly changing their menu. Just when I find something I like, they change it again. Nothing on the menu is simple anymore. I also feel they are slightly overpriced for their food as well, but they offer a unique quality product - at least they used to. This visit, the soda fountain was in need of a syrup change. I asked for a fresh fill up and the new soda tasted equally weak. I finally switched to iced tea, but never got a refill. The service was pretty good other than the soda issue. I ordered a three cheese Olga, and my son got a hamburger Olga. I used to get their fried chicken Olga (no longer on the menu), but I am trying to be a little healthy. Both sandwiches were over $8.00 each with a side. I got an overdosed soggy greek salad, and my son got soggy, under the light, over seasoned curly fries. All the cheese on my olga was at one end, not evenly distributed. My son's burger was overseasoned as well. He squeezed his burger and a ton of grease came out. The Olga bread - always a favorite was greasier than usual too. Just a big let down. I am hoping my next visit - to any Olga's is better.

Hey there...my daughter and I went to this mall restaurant. We frequent the other "Olga's" restaurants, but not usually this one. This one looked as though it has been recently remodeled, so we decided to take a chance! Oops! Our mistake!...Looks are deceiving and you just cannot judge a "book by it's cover". Now that it looks all nicey nice inside, though there are only 1/2 as many seats as there was before the redecorating event. The food was absulutely barely edible and barely mediocre! The waitress was either ill *(which I asked if she was ill and felt bad for her until she said that she wasn't and then got a bit huffy) or just not in a good mood; I found out it was the latter. The waitress kept our credit card and the people in the seats next to us for what felt like an hour but was probably at least 15 minutes, without coming back to the table~ Then she dropped it off without a pen and it was a credit/debit card purchase! Lucky, for me, the lady next to us gave me a pen to borrow and I still gave a 15% tip, because I have waitressed in the past, and I know its a very hard job and you can have a "bad day". Though it shouldn't be seen by the customers either. I still left a tip because it's who I am. But the lady next to us was so perturbed that she left ZERO! I'm not sure we'll be going back to THAT spot, though on the whole, we usually enjoy going to the other locations for "Olga's" restaurant. Though now that they've changed up the menu several times and taken all and I mean ALLLLLL of our favorites off the menu...we really need to find a new favorite spot! thanks for reading!!!

Prior to this visit, the last time we'd been to an Olga's was probably 20 years ago, if not more! My mom and I remembered them a bit differently (reaching into the dark depths of my childhood memory): we seemed to think they used to be a fast food/"fast-casual" type place [before that term existed], where you ordered at the counter and then ate in. Now you get served at tables (at the Twelve Oaks location at least), but they still did a good job at being quick (my mom did mention that we were in a hurry -- trying to get on the road back to IL). The eponymous "Olga" wrap is basically a Greek gyro, with a wonderfully fluffy pita wrapped around shaved beef/lamb, onions and Olga sauce (a yoghurty, mild, tzaziki-esque concoction); it also comes with tomato but I left mine off. Just as good as I remember from when I was a kid! I also tried the zucchini fries: slivers of zucchini tempura battered and fried up light and crisp. Delicious!! My boyfriend got the Thai steak wrap (which definitely did not exist in the '80s iteration of Olga's), which came with mango salsa; he definitely approved. Hope they'll expand further into the Midwest! Until then, I'll just have to make more trips to the Detroit area for the taste found only at Olga's.

I've been a so-so fan of Olga's Kitchen. I know people who really like it, but I'm not really a fan. The Grand River location is much nicer, but not by too much. This one is limited by the size of the mall space, and seems to attract people you don't want to eat with (crying children, obnoxious people, etc.). Food was alright. I mean for less than $10 per person, it's as to be expected. Quality of the food was standard, but I don't see what the big deal with those snackers things is. They are so over-seasoned and the butter is just awful; to each his own, I guess. Some of their pitas are pitiful, so I'd shy away from them. I got a salad which was okay. I thought a grilled chicken, pear, almond salad would be better, but it was enjoyable. The feta was revolting, though. It was obviously processed. Service was not good at all. Incredibly slow, and one waitress was so obnoxious and thought everyone wanted to talk to her as a best friend. It took so long for them to take the credit card, I ended up just walking up to the main counter and giving it to them. With nobody else in the restaurant, I was irritated.

My family and I dropped into Olga's for a light meal after my cousin who grew up in the area suggested we go there. It used to be THE place to eat when he was growing up in Michigan. I shared the original olga pita sandwich, which was very good and spiced nicely. We had the peasant soup to accompany the original olga and that was SO yummy! I'm from Los Angeles, so we have great food, but I've never had soup like this. Even though it was a hot 106 degrees outside, it was wonderful! There are plenty of Olga's restaurants in Michigan, I wish they would open one in California! Our group had a few kids, kids who aren't too big on Greek food, so they ordered food from the food court and the workers at Olga's let them sit with us with their food. I thought that was fantastic! Service was amazing, it made our stay just lovely.

I had high hopes for you Olga, but you let me down in the following ways: - The meat in your sandwich was neither tender nor flavorful. - Your "Olga sauce" was just plain yogurt, at least that's all I tasted. - Your curly fries were not crispy; instead, they were soggy and stale Even though most of your food was not to my liking, I have to admit that the bread on which the sandwich was served was very good. I'm sorry, Olga, but I will not be returning to you.

My first visit to an Olga's. I typically dont have high hopes for "mall restaurants" but Olga's was highly recommended. First off, the service was great! Met at the door immediately with a smile and seated. Drinks came out as immediately after. I ordered the classic 5oz Olga minus onions. My friend had the Chicken Olga. He said he really enjoyed his sandwich. I have to say the Olga bread is very tasty! Soft and flavorful. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the meat. It was very flat and bland tasting. Not even the famous Olga sauce could liven it up. Frankly the sauce tasted nothing like the traditional cuke sauce found on most gyro - type sandwiches. Much more yogurt-y. The veggies on the sandwich were very fresh and crisp! The other down note were the curly fries. Presentation wise, they were pale and under cooked looking. They tasted very bland and had really no crisp to them. Over all I was very underwhelmed by the food. It wasnt bad, just not great. I gave it 3 stars... 2 for the food + 1 for the great service.

My family and I dropped into Olga's for a light meal after my cousin who grew up in the area suggested we go there. It used to be THE place to eat when he was growing up in Michigan. I shared the original olga pita sandwich, which was very good and spiced nicely. We had the peasant soup to accompany the original olga and that was SO yummy! I'm from Los Angeles, so we have great food, but I've never had soup like this. Even though it was a hot 106 degrees outside, it was wonderful! There are plenty of Olga's restaurants in Michigan, I wish they would open one in California! Our group had a few kids, kids who aren't too big on Greek food, so they ordered food from the food court and the workers at Olga's let them sit with us with their food. I thought that was fantastic! Service was amazing, it made our stay just lovely.

I had high hopes for you Olga, but you let me down in the following ways: - The meat in your sandwich was neither tender nor flavorful. - Your "Olga sauce" was just plain yogurt, at least that's all I tasted. - Your curly fries were not crispy; instead, they were soggy and stale Even though most of your food was not to my liking, I have to admit that the bread on which the sandwich was served was very good. I'm sorry, Olga, but I will not be returning to you.

My first visit to an Olga's. I typically dont have high hopes for "mall restaurants" but Olga's was highly recommended. First off, the service was great! Met at the door immediately with a smile and seated. Drinks came out as immediately after. I ordered the classic 5oz Olga minus onions. My friend had the Chicken Olga. He said he really enjoyed his sandwich. I have to say the Olga bread is very tasty! Soft and flavorful. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the meat. It was very flat and bland tasting. Not even the famous Olga sauce could liven it up. Frankly the sauce tasted nothing like the traditional cuke sauce found on most gyro - type sandwiches. Much more yogurt-y. The veggies on the sandwich were very fresh and crisp! The other down note were the curly fries. Presentation wise, they were pale and under cooked looking. They tasted very bland and had really no crisp to them. Over all I was very underwhelmed by the food. It wasnt bad, just not great. I gave it 3 stars... 2 for the food + 1 for the great service.
