Since we live in Novi, we decided to finally give this place a whirl. Our recent trips to Leo's have been a little subpar, so we were hoping to find a coney island that has more consistent quality. The staff there is really friendly and everyone welcomed us when we entered. It took a few minutes for us to get service as no one was sure who was supposed to be our waitstaff. When the food came, it was just alright. The fries were really good, but the hot dog was a little burnt. We might come here again as it was good for a coney island, but it definitely was not an exceptional experience. This place is pretty similar to a Leo's.

Traveling in the area and ran in here for a quick lunch. My goto is a chicken gyro and mini Greek. Their versions were excellent. Great food and service. Friendly staff. Recommended.

They have great food but their service sucks. You can't predict the staff, one day they are super nice, the next day they are extremely rude. My coworkers and I order quite frequently from there but this will be our last time.

This review is for carry out only. Hubby and I ordered out the other day, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our selections. Hubby ordered a coney, I ordered a gyro. Hubby said his coney was good, and my gyro was more than good - it was excellent, containing just the right amount of onions, tomatoes, and tzaziki sauce to offset the gyro meat. Next up - a visit for breakfast with the family.

Very nice Coney Island. Coney was very good fries were fresh and hot. Chicken gyro sandwich was excellent with the Greek salad with fresh chopped lettuce and dressing. The opa cheese was really good as well. I can go four stars.

I stopped there after the gym for a quick dinner. I had the gyros and chicken lemon rice soup. Both were excellent like the old Greektown-Detroit diners. Finding an excellent Greek diner in the western suburban area has been elusive until now!

My husband and I used to frequent Honeytree in Commerce quite often and are very disappointed that it closed. LuLu's Coney Island is declining and we are so happy to have found Novi Coney Island. The food and service is excellent and offered at a great price as well!

Four adults and four kids had breakfast here yesterday. Nice, clean, bright restaurant and service was excellent. I had expected a crowd due to other reviews but it was less than half full this day. I think the absolutely perfect weather and the Woodward Dream Cruise going on a few miles away were the cause of that. The food was OK. The hash browns were undercooked and one kid said the Mickey Mouse pancake was gross, though I doubt that's quite true. The coney island hot dog that I had was OK, but nowhere near as good as you can get at Leo's, Kerby's or National Coney Island in Detroit. Otherwise, the food was good and plentiful with no complaints. In the end, I would go there again.

Food was excellent and portions are more than sufficient. The gyro supreme was the best i have ever had. My wife raved about the grilled chicken salad (small was more than enough for her.). The service from the waitstaff could have been better especially since they weren't very busy but the owner more than made up for that by checking on us himself on a couple of occasions.

I got to this restaurant several times/week as I am single and eat a lot of my meals out. Breakfast and lunch are the meals I eat here most often and I am more than pleased. For breakfast they have American fries, which I like a lot better than hash browns, and the value is good. For lunch I've mostly had the Greek salad or the chicken gyros. I've been very, very, pleased with both. What surprised on both of those dishes was a presentation that rivaled a high-end restaurant. I was especially pleased with the greek salad. On several occasions I have gone here strictly because of their outdoor patio. Since the place is new and it isn't fully discovered yet, I can always get a seat on the patio and the service is still very good out there. Another important thing to me is WiFi which is reliable and has a good signal. They've recently added the "pay by phone" app tabbedout. It didn't work when I tried it today (they weren't listed in the app), but I told the manager and reported it to tabbedout, and I'm sure it will be listed soon. I've never been disappointed with the food or service and I've probably been there a couple of dozen times. The quality, price, and service have all been terrific and I will continue to return.

I have been coming here since the day they opened. The owners are awesome and their staff is just as great. My boyfriend and I enjoy their food very much and it is authentic. I have tried many items and haven't found anything I don't like. We enjoy going there 2-3 times a week. If you are looking for a great place to eat and great service, you won't be disappointed. Try it, you will like it!!!

Novi Coney Island recently opened and we decided to give it a try. What did we have? Coneys of course! As coney dogs go, these were pretty good. But my wife noted that the buns were not steamed, which she tells me is the sign of an authentic coney dog. We also had an order of waffle fries. They were the right combination of crispy and tender on the inside. Even though our server seemed like she might be new, she was still prompt and attentive and we only had to wait a couple of minutes for our food. We'll be back again for another meal at the Novi Coney Island.

Finally a Coney island in the area that gets things right!! I have worked Novi/Farmington for about year now, and i had given up on the Coney Islands in this area until this place came around. Amazing Gyros! Delicious Greek dressing!! carrot cake is a must!!! and the staff is always greeting with a smile! Highly recommended!

We have several Coney Islands in our area, but Novi Coney Island is the best! It's still pretty new but we've been there 3-4 times already. My favorite menu items are the grilled chicken pita (generous portion, very moist & tender chicken) & the chili fries. My husband has had a few soups, the coney dogs and fish & chips and has enjoyed them all. Tonight we tried the carrot cake based on another Yelper's review. It was very good--homemade and moist with pineapple, coconut & not too many nuts. The service is great, too, with very friendly and attentive staff. Give this place a try!

Was doing some shopping in the area while visiting town to see family and decided to give this new spot a whirl, especially because they had outside seating and the weather was great. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff. Got our table outside and within a few minutes placed our order. The menu is your standard coney island menu, with really inexpensive prices. I had a corned beef with swiss, russian dressing and coleslaw on grilled rye (which wasnt even on the menu but the kitchen was more than willing to accommodate my order); my wife had an omelette with hash browns and toast; and our friend had the gyros. The food was phenomenal. My sandwich was excellent - the rye was grilled to a nice crispy golden buttery finish, with delicious messy gobs of coleslaw and dressing falling out of the sides as I bit into it. Oh, and let's not forget, the corned beef itself was delicious. My wife's plate was enormous! We were shocked at how big the omelette was. As for the gyro, it was not the standard grilled greasy gyro meat you find at most coneys... no this was sliced gyro meat from the turning rotisserie which was a nice touch. My buddy also ordered a "small" greek salad that easily could have fed 2 people by itself, and it came with what was probably the BEST greek dressing any of us have ever tasted. Apparently this is their own homemade dressing made in-house. And speaking of homemade items, and what was probably the best part of our meal, was the homemade carrot cake. This cake alone is reason enough to come back here. If you even remotely like carrot cake, or even just the idea of cake in general, you will absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this cake. We spoke to a manager on duty and he said when they first opened they were giving out free samples of it to help spread the word, and after just a few days their entire stock sold out and people having been continuously returning for more. He said the cake is 100% made in-house, including the cream cheese like frosting, and has won awards from the Detroit papers in the past. Overall Novi Coney was a great experience, from the food, to the staff, to the atmosphere. The outdoor patio is a nice touch most places dont have. We will definitely be back for the food and cake next time we are visiting Detroit.

Good food, good service, decent atmosphere. Pretty much your everyday coney island. The waitress was nice she took our unannounced table of 7 with a smile and handled us like champs. The food came out fast and was hot and there were no mistakes. I liked this coney it was clean and pretty standard.

My son and I went for a quick lunch before his doctor appointment today. The place was empty yet it took the waitress quite a bit to get to our table. I ordered a coffee and a lemon water and was informed Lemon was extra we started looking over the menu, I immediately had sticker shock all the sandwiches were 730 and up and did not include fries. Fries were an extra $2.19! Wow. My son ordered a bacon cheese burger hold the fries and I ordered a bowl of chilli and surprise the beans were .45 extra We waited 20 minutes for our food and when it finally came I was so shocked I could not believe what I saw. I wish I had taken a pic. The burger made McDonald's look gourmet dried up little pattie cheese cold and bun hard. And my chilli.... Straight from the can... Yuck!!! I told the owner I could not eat it it was the worst food I ever tasted. After some arguing with the arrogant man he said he would discount my bill. I left the waitress a reasonable tip and left. Never to return!!!!

This coney restaurant is definitely a few notches above the others, especially the more renowned franchises. Everything we ordered; from wings to gyros, wraps, and salads were prepared exceptionally well compared to coney restaurant normal standards. Novi coney does it right and has snapped me out of the complacency that I have come to expect from places like Leo's. I have been reminded that you can actually still go to a coney island and still have a good meal instead of just an ok one.

Novi Coney Island has become my family's go to Coney restaurant. The menu has a wide variety of your usual coney fare, and it's all excellent. I usually go with a Coney dog which is as good as any I've had. Their Greek salads are phenomenal -- the homemade Greek dressing seals the deal. They need to bottle this stuff and sell it in grocery store. Fries are always just the right amount of crisp. The service is impeccable, which is pretty impressive for a restaurant this new. They are extremely attentive and are great at making accomodations. This makes dining with my 3 year old son much easier. We ate there last Saturday and the waitress brought out my son's food as soon as it was ready. While this may seem minor, anyone who has dined with a 3 year old knows that little things like this make for a MUCH more pleasant dining experience.

This coney is in an awful location. I've watched a lot of turn over happen on the corner of that shopping strip. We stopped in on a whim and had the most amazing meal. I had the Gyro Supreme. I can honestly say it was the best tasting gyro I have ever had. I will have my fingers crossed that this place will make it work where others have failed.
