Healthy Meal suggestions for China King

We never come here for dinner, because the place is a little pricey, but their lunch specials cannot be beat. It is a small place, so I suggest you just carryout as there are only 4-5 tables in the place and it is really tight. For lunch they charge 5-6 dollars for an entree, rice, egg roll, and your choice of soup. It is a ton of food for the price. We have only had the sweet and sour and General Tso's chicken and have not been disappointed. It is a great place for carryout!

This place is great. Just ordered about 8 different meals for a family get together and everyone love their meals. Not too greasy like other Chinese places. This is definitely my new place to get Chinese food for sure.

First time here.. got a pint of the Curry Chicken...was a LOT spicier/ hotter than other curry chicken I have had.. not much chicken in it at all. It's a good thing I like onions because its at least 90% onions.

This place is awesome! Everything is always hot, fresh and delicious. If you get the dinner combination, it is an okay deal. If you get the lunch special, it is an INCREDIBLE deal. I got an order of orange chicken, fried rice, an egg roll, and a bowl of chicken rice soup WITH fried strips for $5.99 inc. tax. That's an incredible deal!! The curry chicken is so spicy and delicious. I also highly recommend the beef and broccoli. Honestly, everything here is so good! It is also family owned with such hard working, friendly people!

The best place for fried rice. I keep coming back for it. Never had a bad experience here, everyone is always friendly and nice, service is good and the food is better. A good place for Chinese food on the fly.

My first experience with a Chinese Restaurant in the South Lyon/Novi area was a bust so I was really hoping that China King would come through in the clutch. They did not disappoint. I tend to order the same thing at every Chinese restaurant (boring, I know), so I know a good chicken with mixed vegetable dish when I taste it. This place has it. The food was on time (10 minutes really means it's ready in 10 minutes, not 25) and it was not overly done with the sauce or grease. Definitely worth repeat visits!

I feel confused seeing the other reviews, but I really like the food here. I never had the kung pao, but every time I ordered the General Tso's it has been great! Same with some of the other things like the orange chicken, or sweet and sour. It's actually one of my favorite of any where I have gone as far as small, cheap, Chinese food places go.

I was craving some good Kung Pao chicken and I figured I would try China King as it had a great price for lunch specials that including, soup, rice & entree...under $6, can't beat that. Well, I won't be heading back there anytime soon. The soup was decent but the Kung Pao chicken was scary! I didn't even eat the grizzeled looking "chicken". It was so disgusting looking I was afraid to try it and the pieces were tiny. The rice was so greasy that's pretty much all I could taste. From now on I'm going to stick with the places I'm familiar with.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
