Stopped here on the way up to Michigan Tech for lunch. It's a slow time of year, so I was happy to see fresh made sandwiches and soups. Had their beef pasty which I thought was very good. Great vibe, comfy, and a lot of cute knick knacks. Clean restrooms & friendly service makes this a repeat if I find myself in the area again.

Sometimes stopping at rural restaurants can be a little weird, or total dives. Not this place! It was very clean and UP feeling (wood/log cabin devour). The layout is nice and there is plenty of seating. All the people were very friendly and welcoming, even the local patrons hanging out to use the free WiFi. The panini sandwiches we ate were tasty. Nothing fancy or spectacular, just a sandwich made properly. The soup tasted like some kind of home made, at the very least it wasn't mass produced. Stop by and don't worry. Better than a fast food restaurant experience and in similar time. I had my food within 5 minutes!

Gem of a place. We often camp in the area and always visit. Cute shop, good coffee. Lots of unique gift items. Free wifi . Good coffee and restroom stop when traveling on us 2. We've eaten there a couple of times. Would not say food is fantastic but it is good somewhat creative and quick. Not cheap but not unreasonable.

Love this place. A gem in the UP. I came here with my kids for lunch and ice cream on our last trip up north two years ago and was happy to see it thriving and with an expanded menu now too. We stopped for dinner and impressed by the variety -- choices to please my parents and my kids, and a salad bar for me! My parents wanted to try pasties but my kids did not, so this was a perfect compromise. Anchor In has a few varieties of pasties from Hiawatha across the street. I sampled my mom's and it was yummy! Great coffee and gift shop, too, with local art and not just the typical souvenirs you find at every roadside stop. Love the atmosphere, kinds of a city coffee shop with a distinct yooper feel as well. When we visited there was live music in the loungey area in the back.

The Anchor in Naubinway is a wonderful addition to the small town of Naubinway, conveniently located right on US-2 for those traveling East-West in the U.P. They have a full-service coffee barista as well as brewed coffee options, a selection of pastries, and a light food menu. The Anchor offers free WiFi to its customers - still a rare find in this stretch of the UP where only Satellite Internet is available. Comfy tables and chairs, a selection of UP books and gift items, and clean bathrooms. If you are looking for a respite on your travels in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the Anchor in Naubinway is an excellent choice.

Great, fresh food, clean and friendly service. What more can you ask for? Stopped on a recent bike trip through the UP. The other two restaurants listed on Yelp were closed on Labor Day (one is definitely out of business; the other I'm not sure). The Anchor was a nice place to stop and take a break. They even have WIFI

This is small place in the highway. First look and you would not expect much from this place. This place surprised us with its food. I had their build your own panini. It was delicious. I liked the options offered. I'm subtracting a point as they messed up our order.
