Yelp needs help! I love this place, but all my reviews get filtered. If you can't rave about a place you truly love and eat at monthly, then the service, yelp, is worthless. The burgers are juicy and delicious, the Texas fries rock, but best of all are the chicken wings. The volcanic ones almost make me sweat, and I eat for the heat. No fancy food but what they cook they do well. Unfortunately I can't say anything really negative, because I haven't found any.

I used to be a big 'Station' fan when I lived in Grand Haven. It has been about 6 years since I've had a station burger and our visit there last weekend did not match the memory I had of my last experience. First of all, NEVER order the quarter pound burger. Order at least a 1/3 pound and throw out what you don't want....otherwise just go to BK or the Golden Arches if you can't handle leaving food behind. I was a big fan of the onion rings and California burger so I had to go with my faves. They were nothing to write home about, but I have also found Red Robin since my Station days and there is just no comparison. The quaintness of The Station makes it a place you need to visit at least once. The staff is friendly and we found that the servers will randomly strike up a conversation. One of them actually interjected themselves into our personal conversation, which I found both amusing and alarming all at the same time. I was then reminded that they do have a sign to warn you of this when you walk in the door. :)

The absolute best burger anywhere. Food is consistent and burgers are always cooked as ordered. I will often opt for the burrito or taco salad as well. Try the soft bar cheddar on a burger. Always worth the wait. And make sure to grab a raspberry mojito if you're there during the summer!

One of the best burgers I have ever had very big and full of flavor you get full but you keep eating that is a sign of quality if you are in the area and want a burger it's a must eat in my book

The reviews for The Station seem so low for a place that is such a Muskegon staple! So understandably I had to do something about that :) I get the impression from other critiques that first-timers/out-of-towners hear so much about the place, and then are a little disappointed to see a long line, a cramped space, paper plates, and an uncertainty as to who your waiter/waitress is. Having been to The Station countless times, these are all things I find charming about it. When the food is good as well as the service, I don't see a problem. The burgers are good and even food that is usually boring at other restaurants, like chicken strips, are somehow AMAZING. I know you can't screw up chicken strips but seriously. They're like crack (with some chicken). But that's probably not what you should order when the burgers, nachos, wings, and burritos are OUTSTANDING. And those little ham and cheese fingers. Those paired with a sarsaparilla = Childhood nostalgia. Obviously, growing up with a place helps its Yelp chances.

A true greasy spoon. Cute environment, great (huge 1/2 lb. and that's a small) burgers with the eqiuvalent in size for toppings. Food was good, service good. A good stop if you happen to run in to it, but not worth seeking it out.

Top notch burgers. I had the Swiss and cheese 3/4 pounder. Cooked to perfection. Bro had the Chili burger. Tasted it and actually liked it. I don't usually like chili on my burg but this wasn't bad. Fries and onion rings were good too. Best burger within a 25 mile radius. This place is a gem. It's a must stop if your in the area.

I'd have to say if you're looking for a staple of Muskegon / Norton Shores/Roosevelt Park area this is it. This place for the most part hasn't changed because it's never needed to. Great bar food and good prices!! Always a busy place to go but also a lot of fun.

This place has substandard food at more than average prices. I've always been really disappointed because nothing comes with sides, (those are extra), and everything comes on disposable plates with plastic silverware, which seems really bad for the environment. You can never tell who your server is because they work as a team, which would be fine, but I can't get anyone's attention. Overall, it's a great novelty place if you're impressed by a couple of quirky decorations, but as far as food goes, keep driving...there's better out there.

Hands down one of the places I miss most about eating in Muskegon. Cheap food, and the coolest chairs you'll ever sit in. There's no way to describe the fun that can be had with just sitting in them. Their nachos are great and their fries are to die for. Huge burgers. Really anything you could want is at this place. It has a nice family atmosphere but at the same time it's a fun hangout for local highschoolers looking to get together for a fun dinner together because it's ok to be a little too loud in this place.

Ahh The Station, THAT IS A TASTY BURGER! I have been going here for 18 years, I'm 23 now. The first 15 years I drank their Lemonade, It is the best stuff around. Now I usually opt for a pint of Founders or Guinness. I always go for curly fries and the california burger MR, which is actually cooked MR. My Dad has been known to go for a wet burrito and me Mom usually settles for a taco salad. Yes there is half a Stingray on the wall, they have many TV's and about 5 seats at the bar. Also some arcade games for the kids, I always raced around the ole track before dinner. We sometimes get food to go too. Yes, they use plastic silverware, because Muskegon lacks a large saggy beanie, thick rimmed glasses wearing, hipster population, they get away with it. When's the last time you have used silverware to eat a burger you flatware obsessed anti-christ? Free Reese's for desert as well. Keep up the good work Meyers family!

The Station Grill was recommended by a faithful follower as being advertized as a hometown favorite. At this bar I ordered a carnival burger not knowing what to expect. The burger had lots of hype but unfortunely did not live up to it... The bar itself was awesome with an old school theme and had plenty of suds on tap to choose from. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the great west side of the state called Muskegon, MI. The Carnival Burger Price - *** Service - ***.5 Burger - **.5 Overall - *** --

Best burgers in town. The station mini bite burgers are my absolute favorite. It is very small inside but the food and the quality service that you get is worth the small restaurant. And the chilli cheese fries are so amazingly delicious!

Found this place by checking reviews. Once we were off the freeway, we found a full parking lot in the middle of the afternoon. The hostess, also one of our waitresses, seated us and gave us several tips on what was good and appealing to our tastes. We settled on the signature burgers in the half-pound size along with a plate of home fried chips covered in parmesan cheese. The food arrived quickly and was tasty. We loved the parmesan chips and the burgers were top notch. Service was good too. We can recommend this place with no worries. It is good.

The Station This joint was recommended to me as having some of the best burgers around. Being the beef patty connoisseur that I am, I figured I'd give it a go. This is a peculiar place, oddly arranged and a lot smaller than I expected. From the walls hang several diner type signs, half of a late C3 Corvette, and mirrors. There is a (small) bar where you can sit and eat, but there are only 3-4 seats at the bar. It's almost like this place is confused between being a diner, sports bar, and place for kids. There were millions of kids. On to the fare. I ordered the blackened Cajun burger (medium) and fries with an Oberon. The burger was decent, but the smallest burger I could order was 1/2 lb, a bit much for a small appetite. It was just ok, a bit dry and way too big for the bun. I'm not a Cajun expert, but it really tasted like they just rubbed the patty with black pepper. The fries were pretty standard, although I saw many people ordering variations of their special fries: cheese, chili, cheese and chili... Also something to note, the food comes out at as if it were cooked on the surface of the sun, which I suppose is better than ice cold. Service was pretty good, although I couldn't tell which waitress was actually mine as #1 took my drink order, #2 took my food order, #1 brought my food, #2 checked on me, #2 brought the check, #1 took the check and my card. It was about $16 for a burger, fries, and a brewski.

The burgers? Great. The decor? Cool! The service? Not bad. Parking? Ample. Why then only one star? For a restaurant of this size and popularity to use disposable plastic eating utensils and plates in this day and age is the most irresponsible thing I've ever seen. We went on a busy night. We witnessed the garbage cans underneath the wait stations changed TWICE during our 45 minute meal, and probably 95 percent of that waste was plastic. Multiply those four full garbage bags by 8 (assuming they're open 8 hours in a day), then by 6 (days per week), then by 52 (weeks per year), then by the 35 years the place has been in business.... that a whole lot of plastic disposed of by one restaurant. For the money the owners could be saving in plastic plates and silverware over the past 35 years, he could have by now purchased reusable dining ware (which also makes the dining experience that much more enjoyable),installed a high efficiency dishwasher, and kept a team of dishwashers employed. Senseless, irresponsible, thoughtless waste. Get a clue, Muskegon. Get a clue, Station Grill.

I ate there like two weeks ago. Thriving in fact. Great wings, heck, great anything. Looking for a better burger? Good luck. I've yet to find one. Made to order meat that is actually MADE AS YOU'VE ORDERED IT. If you're gonna go during a meal rush though, for the love of God, make a reservation. Especially if you have kids. Overall, great for all ages, cute little birthday sundaes for the whole table, and friendly wait staff.

Over my life span, I have had my fair share of buffalo wings and The Station's are my favorite by far. The wings are small, but you get enough to fill you up and they taste amazing. When I was away for school and made the trip back to Muskegon every so often, I made sure to stop in once or twice while home.

Burger was great. Nothing life changing, but better than any other restaurant I've eaten at in the Muskegon/Grand Haven area. Service was iffy, but they were slammed. (with only 35 seats, that's bound to happen) I have a hard time wrapping my mind around just serving a burger a la carte. The Reese's cup on the side was odd, but my wife enjoyed it. Will definitely go back if ever in the area again.

I removed one star. I had to go up and get my own napkins, my own high chair (I'd asked for a booster seat - server said they didn't have them, and never offered a high chair) and the server offered to refill my iced tea about the same time she brought the bill, i.e. when I was about ready to leave. Then I ordered dessert (she never asked) so she had to re-do the bill. On the plus side my grandson loved the curly fries and the car hanging on the wall, which was why we went there to begin with.

If you're an out-of-towner I'd be surprised if you've been to The Station. It's off the main drag, on the edge of Muskegon Heights and not a typical chain that people would associate with and make the trip off the highway to, which is a good thing. The Station is a great spot for lunch or dinner, affordable, extends excellent service and has pretty good food. We came with a buddy who's been eating here for roughly 30 years. It's a low-key establishment, solid for a quick lunch, dinner where you can watch sports on small flatscreens or a place to take the entire family. They don't do much here, but what they do: wings, burgers and burritos, they do well and offer many options of each to satisfy everyone's likes. The burritos bring good portions, pack flavor and taste great. The true champion here are the burgers or at least the number of interesting options available. Rest assured, you'll be full when you leave and happy with the taste that comes with every bite.

I have been here a number of times. At each time I am thoroughly filled to the brim with yumminess! The burgers are the reason why I go; so far, everything I have had is way superior! I have tried the wings and they are very good. I have never had the burritos but, I have heard yummy things and that I must try them. I can't do it because I am such a burger girl. While here why do fries when you can get Texas fries. Their own homemade potato chip (as for them "perfect"). The perfect ending...a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. However, if you can possible eat any more they have these way cute, mini ice cream sundaes.

Awesome service. My drink stayed filled & the staff was very attentive, but not annoying or bothersome. Cool decor & they even have a pinball machine in the waiting area. The food is killer with big portions. I was surprised they even serve alcohol. The parking lot is pretty big and will appear to be crowded but there's a lot of room inside. The only thing I would change is the lighting it makes the place look kind of sleezy/divey

I'd have to say if you're looking for a staple of Muskegon / Norton Shores/Roosevelt Park area this is it. This place for the most part hasn't changed because it's never needed to. Great bar food and good prices!! Always a busy place to go but also a lot of fun.

The wings are addictive. I never feel like we have enough personal space when we go as a family, but its all about the wings!!!

Even if I didn't like my family, which I do (very much), I would still fly back all the way across the country just to eat here. By far my favorite restaurant on the planet.

Amazing char-burgers. The Texas Fries are also outstanding...as well as unique...like soft chips, but fries. Can not say enough good things about the burgers. You can even add broccoli. Ambiance is outstanding as well. A+++

If you get past the look on the outside/neighborhood, the inside is cool and food good!!

(5)Jason T.

(2)Jason P.

Delicious food!!! Hawaiian burger was awesome! Not too bad on drink prices! Great service!
(5)Bar B.

Found this place by checking reviews. Once we were off the freeway, we found a full parking lot in the middle of the afternoon. The hostess, also one of our waitresses, seated us and gave us several tips on what was good and appealing to our tastes.

(1)Jake J.
If you come without one, you will wait, and your kids will make you cry. After they're alreay bored to tears. Overall, great for all ages, cute little birthday sundaes for the whole table, and friendly wait staff.
(4)Jake P.
Over my life span, I have had my fair share of buffalo wings and The Station's are my favorite by far. The wings are small, but you get enough to fill you up and they taste amazing. When I was away for school and made the trip back to Muskegon every so often, I made sure to stop in once or twice while home.
(5)Palmer W.
(4)Bonnie G.
(3)Natalie R.

Best burger in Michigan, with a variety of them to choose from. My favorites are Nacho, Hawaiian, and Carnival.

Great food. Brought two kids here.. Good for families... Waitress friendly. Had the Italian chicken sandwich and it was good...
(5)Kristen H.
A regular spot for my boyfriend and I to grab dinner. All of the food I've had here is delicious, but my go-to would definitely be the buffalo chicken sandwich. The waitresses are always very friendly and the place is very fun and casual. Definitely a staple in Muskegon.

I love coming to the Station when I'm in town. Good hamburgers and good prices. The only downside is the wait when you go at peak dining hours.
(4)Susan W.
My family loves this place for their burgers however, it is always a long wait as it is jam packed. The seating and table sizes leave something to be desired. I am a vegetarian and this does have an option for me. Just one, a wrap. I didn't care for it. :-(

(5)Tara W.

We always end up at The Station when we visit family in Muskegon. We usually go later in the evening and we hardly ever run into a wait. However, if you go at a "prime" time, you will have to wait because there is not a ton of seating. Atmosphere: Small/cozy. Fun décor (half of a convertible on the wall), the chairs are fun! Beverages: I don't know if I have had colder beer! Their aluminum cans are freezing! Thumbs up! Food: We always order the wings (extra crispy)! I have never had wings like this before. They are very small, but SO GOOD. You get a good amount and they are swimming in sauce. They are delish. All the burgers are very good, too. The Carnival burger is my favorite. The Texas chips are great & all the Mexican fare is good, too. We have yet to have a bad meal. Price: reasonable! Service: They are always attentive and gracious. We always look forward to coming back- we end up craving the wings if has been a long time since we have had them!

The station grill! Best wings in town! The atmosphere is bright and cheery. It's a must stop in and save during the week!

(5)Bill B.
Burgers were incredible buffalo fries were a nice extra. Waitress was extremely polite and really hot. Place was clean. Only down side get LOCAL CRAFT beers.
(5)Andrew Y.
Burgers are a huge hit here. One of the best burger patties around. Plenty of options for all at The Station. The seating is limited during peak hours and the buns could be larger to hold the near perfect patty. A must visit if you make it to Muskegon.

If you come without one, you will wait, and your kids will make you cry. After they're alreay bored to tears. Overall, great for all ages, cute little birthday sundaes for the whole table, and friendly wait staff.

The wings are addictive. I never feel like we have enough personal space when we go as a family, but its all about the wings!!!

Hands down the best burgers in town...I don't even know why someone would go here if it wasn't to get a burger!!

Can't wait to see you over the holidays! Fire up the chili & wings.

Even if I didn't like my family, which I do (very much), I would still fly back all the way across the country just to eat here. By far my favorite restaurant on the planet.
