It's great to come back for a visit and to realize how reasonable the prices are here (especially buy one get one burgers on mondays and happy hour) and how good this food is, not just for being in Muskegon. These are some of the best burgers I've had, their happy hour menu food comes in large portions and tastes great. They also have a moderately broad beer selection. I appreciate I can get most of the brews I want and usually on tap.

Great place to watch sports. Try the sweet chili, I never knew that adding relish to chili would actually be one of the best ideas ever.

DON'T BOTHER! The service is horrible, and the food is mediocre at best. I have gone to this place several times over the years as I keep hoping the experience will improve. It never continues to disappoint me. Every restaurant in this family-owned chain offers the same lackluster service and food. I'm a huge fan of non-chain restaurants and like to support local business owners; however, will never go to P&Q again. It's just plain awful!

We stopped in for a pint and stayed for more. Bartender was very cool who joked with us now and then. The food came out quick and hot. We loved the food and plan on coming back next time we are in town.

I had a really great burger with a salad. They had a great menu and I had a hard time decide what to order because everything looked really good. They also had a ton of beers on tap, which is awesome. Oh by the way their tater tots are to die for. I recommend this place for any one looking for a sport bar atmosphere that has American cuisine.

Driving through and checked Yelp for a casual place to eat. Little did we know that Michigan and Michigan State were in the play offs so the place was PACKED. However, not only did we get seated within 5 minutes (there were 3 of us), but we were immediately served. Wow! Everything was great - our daughter especially loved her mac & cheese. To top it off, it just so happened that the WI Badgers were playing too (not against Michigan - Thank goodness!) and we won!! Whoo hoo! What a perfect night!

We were looking forward to the tasty burgers other reviewers mentioned. The burger combinations on the menu are creative and we were excited about what we ordered - the Cowboy and the California. The bummer is all four of us received over cooked burgers. We didn't want to take the time to send them back to the kitchen. The topping flavors were there, tasty buns. Too bad the meat was dry. Very friendly service.

At Pints and Quarts my focus was on the 20+ taps with some of the most interesting beers I have seen locally. I had 2 Shorts Brewing Bloody beer (may have the name wrong) West Michigan's Oberon and a Heffen Weisse, all served in 16oz pint glasses as opposed to the gigantic beer tower.( Nobody told me that in MI, if its not in a bottle or a Bud light on tap, chances are your drinking a Hi Gravity beer.) I thought it was the cool Lake Michigan air that had be emulsified after 4 beers, apparently not. Monday night 'Buy one Burger get one Free" was a great deal: Spicy Blue and the Breakfast burger split in 2, served in 4 plates--The gravy fries were not to my liking, coagulated quickly and just lacked in overall taste to me. Our server Erin was slammed with tables and never once had us waiting (Less the jalapeno's--inside joke there). She wiped the table after most every beer served and completed dishes cleared and just embodied the server personality any bar or restaurant in any city would love to have working for them.

*** Former Empolyee *** I used to work at this restaurant, and feel the need to divulge that before we begin. I was a fan of this place before working there, and am still a fan after. This also gives me far better insight. As far as the menu goes, there is a lot of great item's. The fried pickles are pretty popular, I hated making them, but they were very tasty, hence I made tons of them, and then made tons more. I'd still order them however. The burgers are pretty good, I would prefer a beefier patty thats not flattened as much, but thats the point here. The flatter the patty the quicker it cooks, so this helps get food out faster and to the waiting customer. Having been the customer the waiting time is very fast. Having been the Cook this can be tricky to get those medium rare to medium burgers just right. The Italian Beef is perhaps the best thing on the menu, that sandwich keeps me coming back. The cheese sauce is great, i'd put it on just about everything and it would be awesome. All the wing sauces are pretty good, the spicey garlic is probably the best one on the menu. Now some not so high points. The calamari is hit or miss, not sure why you would deep fry calamari then put a heavy sauce over top. Would usually get a few complaints a night on this dish, as well as get a lot of orders for suace on the side. We would try saucing this just before it goes to the table, this didn't solve the issue. But this was also a popular item that I found myself making a lot of, so a good amount of people must like it as is, must be a love/hate thing. The rosemary gravy....I wanted to like it, I tried to like it, but it's just too strong. As far as atmosphere, on mondays its choatic, but they hold it together. after I left the company I went back on a monday and forgot it was buy one get one free burger night. But I still recieved great service, and observed that everyone was enjoying their meals around us. Most importantly though, they have a winning formula here, that would work just about every where, It's nice to see such a place in Muskegon.

If you have tattoos or piercings this is not the place for you. Basically if you're not an uptight white, snob, do not expect good service. I have personally given this establishment so many chances over the years and am severely disappointed EVERY TIME. I will no longer continue to give this discrimative establishment my money. Terrible, terrible service.

I honestly think this place deserves more stars then whats been given, especially for the reasons the stars were given. If you want a creative, tasty, HUGE burger, this is the place to go in Muskegon. Especially on the BOGO free Mondays (except you have to skip all usual side dishes that come with it). The patties are not steak size, when people say huge burger here - its the width - they are as wide as a plate. But the fries are great (I think theres a slight discernable cheese crust on them), great onion rings. The black and blue burger - wow, just dont count the calories, and you'll enjoy it! And the bar has a big selection and they decorate the walls throughout the place with the names of the beers which is fun. No not a night life place, never knew it to be - just a nice place to get a burger! 4 stars instead of 5 just cuz the menu prices deter me from going there other than the buy one get one Mondays (and trying anything else besides the hamburgers).

Awesome appetizers! My hubby and I ordered 4 appetizers as our meal. They were great! The pickle chips were like potato chips. Very different. The BBQ chicken quesadias were very tasty and I loved the tai lettuce wraps. We also got the smothered fries. Cold beer and we were very happy. And we LOVE the frosted glasses. Maybe give patrons a choice? I can't wait to go back!

My pretty Lil friend Chelsey and I sat at the bar. They have a large variety of beers on tap paired with excellent service. When we suggested a beer that wasn't very good, the bartender had a counter suggestion that was awesome! We had the beer cheese soup...super good. On Tuesday nights they have buy one get one free wings...I'm picky about wings so was hesitant to try. I must say, best wings I may have ever had. Smoked to perfection, meat fell right off the bone. I will be back here next time I stroll by Muskegon. Oh and Tuesday night all drafts are $2. With a wide selection of fresh cold brew, can't beat this place.

You know how everyone (who's a raging alcoholic) has a bar that's "their bar"? Well, that's what Pints is to me. There are things I don't like about it...Mostly stuff that irritated me when I first started coming here & now that I feel like a "regular", I've grown comfortable & become accustomed to the way of the Pints. I also realized that a lot of what I don't like about Pints is associated with the clientele. Not entirely Pints' fault but that can definitely effect someone's attitude toward a place, knowwhatimsayin? What I love: The beer selection. They always had a *pretty* good selection but because I went so often, I actually got bored trying everything. Now it's AMAZING! They switch the taps often and have featured brewery nights. Now I'm never bored! Almost always something new and different. The food is also good here! And the staff is personable. ....Except they can be jukebox nazis. Why oh why, Pints & Quarts, do you have a jukebox if you're going to turn the music down so nobody can hear it? I just put $5 in that bitch. So turn it back up unless you want 5 knuckles in your face. Also, Ben plays way too much Dave Matthews. Overall, I'm happy to say that P's & Q's is "my bar" :)

The two times I've been to Pints and Quarts with family was a good experience both times. Wow, their burgers are extremely delicious and well worth the money. These aren't your typical fast food sized burgers where you're still left hungry afterward. What you're getting here are giant Fuddrucker sized burgers that will leave you satisfied along with a whole bunch of french fries. I had the one stuffed with jalapeno peppers and was amazed how tasty it was. They also have a huge selection of beer so no worries about being disappointed. Yeah, I'd recommend going here. The pregnant waitress earlier tonight, 4/30/11, was snooty.

From what I understand, this is the epicenter of Muskegon "nightlife." I can't say with absolute certainty, since I live in a place with an actual nightlife and am now incapable of imagining what passes for one in other places. I can't help but get kind of depressed when I am here, since I have seen the mountaintop, and it is far superior to Pints and Quarts. The towers of beer garner the one star. Great idea. And only $25 for a tower of Harp. Service isn't bad either.

So, have you seen the episode of Third Rock from the Sun, where Dick is obsessed with tipping? He goes to a restaurant and lays down a stack of one dollar bills and tells the waiter it is his potential tip: do something that displeases me, I take a dollar away; do something I like, add a dollar to the pile. I am doing this here, but with stars. This place started with 5 stars and so the story goes... 11 people for dinner (12 if you wanna include little newborn baby) on a Saturday at 5pm. I called ahead to give them a warning we were coming since it was a large party and they say no problem we'll get a table set up for you. And they do. We arrive at 5pm with only a few others in the restaurant and a big ole table ready for us. GREAT - still got 5 stars. All guests arrive and start ordering drinks - most of us order coffee, tea, soda, or water so I am sure the waitress is bummed that we aren't a'drinking heavy. But, she is nice and then asks if we'd like the bills to be separated out for the different parties - we all say sure, thanks! GREAT - still 5 stars. Order appetizers - 2 for table. Fried pickles and loaded tater tots. Both were a hit with the table overall. However, seeing that I LOVE fried pickles I would like to suggest that they aren't cut so thin. I like to taste the dill-salty-sour of the pickle, not just the batter. But they were tasty, so I won't dock 'em. 5 stars still. We were surprised to see the crazy topped burgers on the menu (just like much of Chicago favorites)... and we ordered the pulled pork topped burger done medium with no mayo, with onion rings and also asked if we could get it on a pretzel bun since we saw another burger came with it. Sure, she says. Food starts arriving at table (most of us got burgers or fish sandwich) and they set ours down. My husband looks at and says ummmm... there is no burger on this. HA HA HA HA! Really I say? Sure enough, there is a sandwich cut in half on two plates for us to split with only the toppings and the pork - no burger patty! (lose one star kitchen!) The waitress says she's sorry and takes it back to the kitchen. All I can think is, now we're going to get whatever patty is ready, and it will not be medium. Sure enough she sets it down and it looks well done to me... damn. BUT then, we realized that it also has mayo/dressing on it and it is NOT a pretzel bun. (lose another star). Now at 3 stars. Btw, we didn't say anything more to the waitress because of the large table, and everyone already eating. If we were by ourselves we may have... We sink our teeth in. The mayo/dressing is full of dill seasoning which tricks my mind into thinking I am eating some kind of seafood. I open up the bun again to look at the pork, thinking it could be dry crab or something. Nope. Just really bland, dry pulled pork. I thought it had said pulled pork with bbq on the menu, but no bbq sauce at all... and no flavor. The burger patty did have some seasoning on its skinny ass though, which was fairly tasty (for a well done burger). I ended up asking for hot sauce and slathered it which improved the taste. The onion rings were huge and tasty, but VERY grease soaked - too much so. Overall, mediocre meal. (lose one star). Dang, now at 2 stars. I will say, the waitress did a great job and hustled, asked us for refills, and did an overall good job which I like to recognize and give her a star for - HOWEVER, she just didn't smile. She wasn't mean or stand offish, she just look a little bothered or nervous or irritated I guess. And just for the record the place did fill up, but we were leaving at the rush dinner time and no one was waiting to be seated that we could see yet. So, I am only giving her a 1/2 star. 2.5 stars now. So, the reason I am rounding it down to 2 stars is the final comment from another person at the table. He rarely goes out, doesn't have much money, and when I asked him how his perch sandwich was he said "Tasted like a McDonald's Fillet". Enough said. There is no excuse for that. 2 stars.

He rarely goes out, doesn't have much money, and when I asked him how his perch sandwich was he said "Tasted like a McDonald's Fillet". Enough said. There is no excuse for that. 2 stars.
