About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. I may get hate-mail or slapped...but I think Fricano's is one of the most over hyped pizza places in Muskegon. They're pizza is pretty good, but there's not much to it. If you're looking for a real basic crust and sauce combo and small portion this is it. I haven't bothered going to Fricano's in a long time. The service I had previously was mediocre and the food the same. Since this is my opinion, it may vary with whom you're asking.

Megan is an alright waitress. I don't get why she had to get me a new glass of water rather than refilling the one I used. Give her credit though for being courteous like waitresses should be and asking if I wanted a refill. However when I was on my way out to leave she could have been friendly instead of pretending she didn't see me. Snubbing customers should be an employee no no. The pizza was great. Thin crust is my favorite and the flavor is excellent. Only downside is the pizzas aren't very big and you need two full size ones to get full. Not terribly expensive either. Try it, you might be surprised.

We found this place through Yelp and it was OK. There is no menu because there is only one size (Large) and 5 options for toppings. Think of a freshly made Tombstone. Worth a try if you're in the Muskegon area.

When you first arrive, you'll be asking yourself "am I in the right place??" It used to be a factory, warehouse or something like that. The interior has a cool factory vibe. The pizza is pretty good. They keep it simple, too, with very few options to choose from. They may only do one thing, but they do it well. The waitress was a bit soup nazi-esque, but I guess this adds to the allure of the place. Fricano's pizza is definitely a unique staple of Muskegeon. Side note: Their mixed drinks were small and watered-down. Just stick with water.

I recently visted Fricano's while vacationing in Muskegon. My boyfriend and I decided to try it after reading other Yelp reviews. We found the location very easily and parking wasn't an issue. When we sat down the waitress quickly came over to ask for our order. They don't have a menu as they only serve pizza. The waitress informed us that she could eat a large by herself so she was advising that we each order our own pizza. I had a cheese pizza while my boyfriend had a pepperoni pizza. My boyfriend tasted my cheese pizza and thought it had better flavor than his pepperoni. I love thin crust pizza so I was happy with my meal. It would have been nice to have a salad or something to go with it. My boyfriend isn't a big fan of thin crust so he was less impressed but thought it was good. I felt it was very filling. The waitress was very attentive. It's definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a quick meal.

I realllllyyy like this place. The pizza is good but the toppings are pretty standard while still being somehow eccentric. They have five toppings. Sausage (which I'm usually not a fan - here it is amazing), pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms. And anchovies. No onions. This is good for me because I hate onions. But seriously? Anchovies. Most people order "Everything but" which means no anchovies. But it tastes great! The crust is thin and flaky and yummo and I actually think it's a nice novelty that you don't have to all agree on the toppings. The pizzas are all just right so that everyone can have their own. The location is terrific too! Very nice view right on Muskegon Lake, and considering how bare bones the place is with their basic menu and paper plates, the full bar is an especially nice and surprising treat! Make sure you enjoy a Bell's Oberon with your pizza in the summer time B)

Suffice it to say that Fricano's is a Western Michigan institution, and your experience of the area will not be complete until you've had Fricano's pizza. Delicious, thin-crust pizza, and that's pretty much all they do. Seriously. No salad, no sandwiches. The stuff you can get on your pizza is listed across the top of your paper placemat. And it is so good, people drive from miles away to have some. I like to have some along with a delicious Bell's Oberon with a slice of orange. This Muskegon store is in what used to be an outlet mall, which I believe was called Lumbertown (a nod to Muskegon's past). Cool digs, great view of Muskegon Lake. Go, and enjoy!

Love Love Love this pizza. Okay so the restaurant isn't anything fancy and they serve food on paper plates but who cares! The pizza is amazing. I live in Los Angeles and haven't been able to find anything here that quite compares to Fricano's. Be warned though that the pizza is very thin crust. I can pretty much eat a whole one by myself or at least 3/4 of it. With normal thick crust pizza I can only eat about 2 -3 slices max.

Based on my opinion alone and solely on their food, I'd probably give Fricano's three stars. However, since I am the only person I know that is not completely obsessed with their pizza, I'm obligated to give them four. It's just a personal preference thing; I don't really care for thin crust pizza. On the upside, the flavor is really there. Their pizzas are seasoned really well and the ingredients are always fresh. As a side note, they have a really fantastic special event room. I used to cater for a company that used this space a lot for weddings, and it had the most fantastic view overlooking Muskegon Lake. Big open space with hardwood floors, exposed brick and pipes - cool industrial feel. Anyhoo! Like I said, everyone and their MOTHER loves this joint and it has been a huge staple in the area for many years. Props to you, Fricano's.

I consider myself to be somewhat of a pizza expert, when it comes to eating it and, per my husband, making it (he often tells me that he prefers my homemade pizza over that in any restaurant). I could eat pizza just about every day of the week! I've been a Fricano's pizza fan ever since I can remember, longggggg before the one in Muskegon opened; we would drive from Muskegon to Grand Haven, where the original Fricano's is. I, personally, don't know anyone who does not count this pizza in his or her top 5 pizza favorites. Fricano's pizza is unique from any pizza I have had anywhere in the country. Pizza is all they serve (other than individual-size bags of chips...which I never see anyone eating). They have only one size (14"), only thin crust, and there are only 5 toppings available (pepperoni, mushrooms, Italian sausage, green pepper and anchovies). I highly suggest that, with the possible exception of children, each person in your group order his or her own pie (leftovers, IF there are any, are almost as good as fresh). As for the service, I honestly cannot remember ever having poor service (same for the Grand Haven location). Sure, when they are swamped, your server may be a bit less attentive than when they aren't busy but that's to be expected in any restaurant. If ever there is a problem with your order, simply mention it and they will correct it. There is a full bar, too, which offers everything from beer to well drinks. I'm not a huge drinker (though, every now and then, I enjoy having an ice cold beer or a glass of Lambrusco with my pizza) so I'm not sure about the extent of 'fancier' mixed/blended drinks. If you want something particular, it never hurts to ask. Give Fricano's a try. I sincerely doubt you'll regret it if you do.

Yummmm, I absolutely adore Fricanos and if you venture into any city in the Muskegon area and ask people's opinion on Fricanos, you will likely get a lot of watering mouths and goofy smiles. Fricanos menu is tiny, they only serve pizza. Seriously, no bread, no salads, no dessert. Just pizza. One size, with about six topping choices. The pizzas are about 10 inches and paper thin. And crispy, baked to perfection. Though I recognize the description may not sound like anything special, you MUST go here. Order a pizza for yourself, no sharing. Enjoy a beer or cocktail with your pizza and you will be a very happy person!

I have been here maybe 20-30 times. This is the place to get thin crust pizza. Sure I can eat a whole pizza and it's a little greasy. The menu is very limited because they have pizza and a bar and that's it. They do one thing and they are great at it. O and your place mat is your menu. Don't come here if you want fancy food and dinner ware. Come here to get awesome pizza and have a couple of drinks.

Think back, when we all used to go to Fricano's and each wedge was moist, rich with cheese and had some amount of depth with the ingredient. it was a little difficult to separate them because the cheese would string out. if you were not careful, grease would almost run down your arm ...I cannot recall saying the pizza was ever bad but, last night it was wafer thin, dry, burnt with not much taste and really bad. There was an under abundance of any ingredient, let alone not much cheese at all. Grand Haven has them beat, hands down. More times than not, the pizza will be too thin, or under cooked . The consistency is not there anymore!
