What a great establishment! Up almost as far as you can go in Michigan and you find this cozy restaurant/bar. It's a north woods style place with a convenience store on one side and a restaurant on the other, so it's a great little mashup. Upon entering you could tell it was a local place, although I'm sure it's packed with gapers during the winter. The service was genuinely welcoming and cheerful. The menu is concise, but creative. The chili is award-winning for a reason. It certainly ranks as one of the best I've ever had. My girlfriend got a hamburger cheese soup and we split the Reuben rolls. Holy bible batman those both were outstanding! Good beer on tap, cozy feel, delicious food, and outstanding staff. I couldn't have been more pleased!

Finally got in here for lunch and was quite impressed. I had a pesto chicken wrap and it was very good! The service received was above par and our waitress was very efficient and friendly. Will be back!

We were staying in copper harbor and trip advisor said this was 8 minutes away. Um no! Expect a 30 minute drive but let me just say it was well worth it. This place is right on a lake and the food was really good. A LOT of the food is made from fresh from scratch (salad dressings, Reuben spring rolls, soups) Between everyone in our family we tried the stir fry, steak, burgers, and Reuben spring rolls and we're pleased with everything. My husband tried the Blake's mango jalapeño beer on tap and loved it. The wait staff friendly and very helpful with suggestions. We would highly recommend this place.

If skiing at Mt Bohemia this place is a great option for lunch. Its right across the street and also is a place where you can stock up on some 'provisions' if you are running low. We got some tasty 'champaign' and 'water, High Life and PBR. Awesome chicken wings here and sandwiches. Also they have KBC on tap which I wish was available here in Chicago. Love this place.

I've tried almost everything on the menu here, and find myself frequently craving the same few things. The Caesar dressing is house made and incredible, try the chicken or steak Caesar salad, or the chicken Caesar wrap. The charbroiled burgers are hand-pattied and delicious, and I can no longer eat French Dips anywhere else. If you like a good Rueben they do those well, also. The view is really great, you can see the water from most seats. Due to state smoking laws they can't serve food out on the deck, but you can order inside and bring it out! (This last tip is really only a good idea May-September!) If you visit in the summer try out the Friday all-you-can-eat Fish Fry! The lightly battered fish is great, and they also serve local whitefish or lake trout broiled if deep fried food isn't your thing. The place can get pretty packed in July and August, though, so locals usually show up at 5 right when it starts to get the best service and view. They also have a Sunday Turkey Dinner in the summer which is cooked fresh every Sunday morning and has excellent mashed potatoes. If you want a great craft brew the bar has eight taps, six of which are usually dedicated to KBC or Brickside Brewery beer, both of which serve up some delicious options. Having previously worked here for a few years, I can honestly say that the owners and manager really care about the customers and want everyone who visits Lac La Belle to have a great time. It's a beautiful spot that is well worth the drive.

The Bear Belly still has the best burgers around and the Caesar dressing should win an award. In addition to all the great weekly specials they had before (fish fry, ribs, and turkey dinner) they have a huge selection of bone-in or boneless wings on Wednesdays. They have Parmesan garlic, Asian garlic, sweet- spicy Asian, pear chipotle, buffalo and a sweet raspberry wheat. All of them were awesome, but I think my favorite was the raspberry wheat. Pretty soon I'll have to eat here every day of the week.
