Overpriced for what you get, but the food isn't bad :)

I am a big fan of The Bar. The menu is small, but that is a good thing - everything is fresh and cooked perfectly. You can get an amazing burger, a good steak... I have never had a bad meal here, and if you go often enough they might make you something off-menu, like fried pickles. These with the dipping sauces for the bar frites are a good match. They mix a good drink, too, and they have some interesting beer choices. The atmosphere is nice. It's clean and cozy. Whether you live in Milford or you are just passing through this is worth a check-in. Just be careful not to pass it. It is easy to miss...

Neat little hidden gem. BBQ pork nachos are to die for. Staff is friendly. Not a large selection on menu to choose from but can't go wrong with anything you choose. Medium priced menu. Sunday brunch is excellent too. The farmers burrito is made fresh with fresh ingredients. Enough to feed two people. Definitely would recommend going.

Once again another great dinner at The Bar. Sauteed cauliflower with tahini sauce, hummus with pita, excellent! Main courses, Michigan burger with cherries, Gorgonzola, and bacon (super good!!!), Maurice salad with homemade dressing, fresh and tasty. Local musicians after 8 on Saturdays. Good beer, wine selection, full service bar. I highly recommend this Milford gem. Oh! Don't forget to order the key lime pie, homemade and delicious!

Seriously the worst service ever. The people who work there are so rude and takes forever to get a drink! Do not go!

Food was great!! We had spaghetti, fish taco, and bbq chicken quesadilla. Great eatins! Beverages splendid as well: founders on tap, pumpkin beer, captain&ginger, and something of the fruity variation with coconut rum ;)

Fantastic! This non-smoking bar was clean, attractive, and had a great (small) menu. After walking in and sitting down in this low lit and dark wooded bar, I had one thought: If I was a local this would be my bar. It was so laid back and nearly empty and, mostly, extremely comfortable. The menu was small and that was a good thing. It seemed like they focused on what they knew and kept it simple. They even created a custom sandwich which I requested (making a cuban sandwich vegetarian with a bunch of custom additions). The food was solid and the prices were good. I'd go back here in a heartbeat.

A non-smoking restaurant/bar was 5 stars alone but I'll wait until I eat there a few more times before I give the food 5 stars. The interior is fresh, seating is comfortable, in booths or high-tops with a vintage coppertone tin ceiling, nice comtemporary colors and lighting with a small bar as you walk in. The menu was small but what they have on it is really unique, from Sweet potato fries and Fish Tacos to a New Orleans inspired Muffaletta sandwich and "Maurice Salad" with home made dressing just like they had at Hudson's. They even have a fried bologna sandwich with cheese! Well what we had were the Maurice salads and they were great, also my wife had a martini that was well made. We'll be back for more.

Surprisingly good, unexpected diverse menu, been back twice, very pleased with diverse choices: burgers, Michigan & built my own; salads, Maurice & wedge: hummus & cauliflower appetizers, ALL WERE GREAT! Will be back!

Excellent little bar in downtown Milford. They had a decent amount of craft beer selection and a good martini menu. The martini prices were also reasonable for top shelf liquor. My boyfriend and I split the chicken and black bean nachos. They were awesome and had a creamy avocado sauce over the top. Definitely glad we stopped here even though it's about 7 miles off the Interstate. Wish Yelp did 1/2 stars because this place is 4.5 stars.

Came here with my family for dinner the other night: -The service was friendly and helpful -They have a decent beer selection on tap & in the bottle (I'd skip the Raspberry Wheat unless you like pretty sweet beers) -The portions are gigantic (especially the chicken nachos) -We weren't blown away by any of the food, but nor was it bad -The prices are quite affordable in Milford -It is easy to find a parking spot in the area which is a plus since they don't have a private lot All in all a good place, I'd be back if I was still living in the area.

The Bar has a relatively simple menu that tries to cover a bit more ground than it probably should. They're able to pull it off, but don't come expecting a deep or cohesive menu. More often than not, I've opted for a daily special, and I can't say I've been disappointed. Their cooks can be surprisingly creative, and if you hit the right night, you could wind up with a dinner that you'd expect to pay twice as much for elsewhere. Entree portions are good, but the $3 upcharge for fries is never worth it. Put that money towards their short list of microbrews or a drink special, instead. The Bar doesn't do much to hide the fact that they don't want kids there -- particularly younger kids. If you're planning on a high chair, plastic cups, or a kids menu, plan to go down the street to just about any other restaurant in town.

Yet another great brunch. This time sausage gravy and biscuits were on the menu. Although I didn't go all in on a full order, they let me have a side of gravy for my omelet to satisfy my craving for only $2 or so. Considering thay a small side of jalapeños are .50, I thought that was a good deal! Mimosa once again did not disappoint.

This is my favorite place in Milford! Whoever is in the kitchen preparing the food, they are AWESOME!!! There has never been a time that we had a bad meal there...

Three stars only because we came in on a busy saturday morning and watched while the only server (who was busting her butt to keep up, and doing a great job) got continuously busier and the owner sat at a table eating breakfast instead of helping her. The cook had to come out and help this poor server clear tables and refill coffees because the owner was clearly more interested in satisfying his appetite. Its a little sad that he wasn't interested in helping out this team. Other than that, food is amazing. Get a mimosa and the Eggs Benedict.

I've been to the bar a couple times. Both times I got a salad and it was great. The mojito's I got here was not impressive the second time. They have a really cute patio out back with corn hole and they have seating out front where you can watch all of Milford's finest drive by and stare at you as you eat. :)

We have tried to like The Bar so many times considering we are so close to them, but so far no visit has changed our minds. I will admit that the food is fantastic. However, the drinks are extremely pricey, the servers are never very friendly and I really wish they would be more welcoming to children, at least during the day time. Milford is a big family town, so a kids menu would be nice to have and probably attract more people.

This place has great food! The burgers are the best I have had in the area. The one with dried cherries in the burger and topped with blue cheese and bacon is my favorite. The sweet potato fries are a great side. The fries used to come with three sauces and I wish they still did. They also have great beers on tap all the time. The do breakfast on the weekends and that is very well done. The portions are huge so you can split a dish if you like. The only complaint I have about this place is the service, it is horrible. I have been here many times and the vast majority of the time I have had very poor service, even if the restaurant is 25% full. Plan on having to ask to get your water refilled, your order placed and your bill. And do not expect it with a smile!

Without a doubt, the best place for breakfast in Milford on a Saturday or Sunday morning! if you've never been, you must go this weekend! Make sure you get a cup of their wonderful decaf coffee...it's fantastic!

  • Shelly M.

The breakfast on the weekend is awesome, love the breakfast burritos. Mimosa's with fresh squeezed OJ, very yummy. Only open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday's, however. The everyday food here is excellent as well. Great fish taco's, really great salads, nachos, burgers, it's all good. It's just a bar, but I love it.

  • Ashley M.

The food tastes pretty good, but it's overpriced. The few times I've been there, the beer has been mediocre at best, and still expensive. Bottled beer was even pricier.

For a little, corner place, it's got great stuff, great staff, and welcomes your dogs on the patio. The fish tacos are to die for and if you have it with the watermelon martini, you will have the prefect accompaniment of citrus . Oh,yum!

Pretty good food for what you would call bar food! I love the cauliflower appetizer or the pull pork nachos. The burgers are awesome! They have breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, which has limited choices, but the essentials. And they have $5 bloody mary's during brunch time! Music plays, but you can still talk in the evenings, except when they have a band. The band isn't my cup of tea because it is too loud, but the music is typically good either way...you just cannot talk. Staff is friendly too!
