Went to Red Dog Saloon on 19 March, 2010 to eat and see our favorite band, Free Beer. The service was excellent, but the seating area was pretty cramped. Way too much smoke (until May 1st anyway), and a failed house sound system were negatives. The crowd was a bit "eclectic", but what the heck! The food was O.K., nothing special, and costs were a bit higher than I would have liked. I might go back, but there would need to be some incentive (coupons, etc.).

been going to red dog for years before the move from downtown Milford. always busy and good food. although its listed as a dive, I wouldn't rate it as such. good bands on the weekends, with moderately priced drinks keeps us coming back

Yeah, not the 5-star experience by any stretch of the imagination. But, it is a cool, no frills, entertaining, good people-watching, relatively inexpensive dive bar. I like it. My friends like it. That is all that matters.

Best long island anywhere. They use local beef from the Village Butcher for their burgers and make their own chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks - no frozen junk here. Bartenders & staff are awesome.

My friend suggested we come here last night after dinner for a night out of fun and music, so we came, and I'm kind of glad we did. Not the fanciest bar by any means, but it was a lot of fun, and reminded me of places I would go in college to hang out, listen to music and get drunk. Bar has ample seating, a decent menu and a full bar for drinks. There's a pool table in the back, and the bathrooms are real nice. Sometimes bar bathrooms are gross, but this one, my friends, is not! Clean, cute ample space along with enough toilets to get the job done. The staff was friendly, drink prices were okay, and it's one of those bars that has it's regulars along with people like me who like to drop in once in a while for drinks or a quick bite to eat. They had a great cover band last night, which was a blast to listen and dance to for a Saturday night. Overall a great experience and worth the visit.

Food is good Service is good even on crowded nights like Friday or Saturday.. The Red Dog usually hosts top-notch rock bands and a great sound system. Best bar in the town-not fancy and not pretentious the food is honest and the bands rock...the owner has his act together and it's well managed.

Best bar in town, best food in town and the best staff in town. These guys NAIL the local bar/pub feel. Not only is this the best place to catch a game or shoot a game of pool, it's a good time just shooting the breeze with other people or the staff. Additionally, they have the BEST WINGS I've had in my life, I would suggest the Spicy Garlic. The burgers are second to none. You know it's great food when you're doing TAKE OUT from a saloon! My hat is off! :-)

We were there late Friday afternoon (430ish). The place is decorated in what I like to refer to as early Michigan lodge fare. Lots of stuffed animals, old signs, Nascar stuff...you get the idea. We had our pick of seats as the crowd was light. Service was good. We got served right away. The happy hour drink prices were reasonable. They have $4 vodka drinks anytime. We each stuck with beer and it was good and cold! We went with the "Giant Beef Nachos" for dinner. They weren't as huge as the waitress made them out to be but they were better than average bar fare. All in all, we were satisfied with our experience. We'll be back to try it again soon!

Red Dog is one of those places where everyone knows each other.. Set in quaint Milford, it offers surprisingly decent entertainment. Bartenders bust ass to take care of everyone and joke around at the same time. They offered small talk but took care off all customers efficiently at the same time.. Excellent mixologists here. I tried a couple girlie shots and they were yummy! Dead on great!! The band is awesome! The night we were there they were playing bluesy rock. Lots of dancing going on.. The only problem is it's pretty crowded, good luck getting a seat. We got there around 11 and only had to wait a few minutes for seats at the bar..no tables available, but no biggie..I wish it were a tad closed to my house!

This is one of the more enjoyable 'dive' bars in Milford. It's typically filled with a little bit older crowd than many of the other bars in Milford, probably people in their late 40s and 50s. In the summer it's typically loaded with folks who roll into town on the their motorcycles. The Red Dog has a solid set of draft and bottle beers, probably one of the better ones in Milford. Though per a regular small town bar, it is in a strip mall which is a little weird. It's pretty much typical bar fare, burgers and sandwiches etc. They have some solid buffalo/chicken wings. They've also go a nice pool table! In the summer, I also suggest sitting outside if it's not to hot. Though the scenery isn't quite spectacular (a parking lot and Hungry Howies), it is one of the few places in Milford you can hang out outside and have a drink. If you get the chance to stop here, I'd definitely recommend it.

I have a lot of conflicts about this place. On the one hand, it's one of the few places in the area that's open late on a weeknight. The prices aren't too bad for drinks or food, both of which are ok. Nothing crazy good, but not bad. The place is pretty clean, too, for a "dive bar." It's also biker friendly, and it's got a patio. The crowd is interesting... a 30-40+ crowd. My night's highlight: one woman telling another that she wanted to borrow her boobs. That earns the extra star. There's not a whole lot else to say. The service is a little slow, but if you're not in a hurry, it is fine. Expect a small town's "It Is What It Is" watering hole.

The Red Dog is one of those bars where everyone knows everyone, like the town that it is situated in. It can totally be considered a "dive bar" but the crowd is a bit older than a "typical dive bar" would be. There is often live entertainment and karaoke, so it does get loud at times. There is a small dance floor area and a patio that is open in the summer but it tends to get crowded quick. It is also a huge motorcyclists hangout in the summer. They offer basic bar food too and their burgers are actually really good.
