Some rolls were amazing, like the AAC roll and the Coco roll (one of the specials), but the ones we tried with any tempura were a little heavy on the coating. Service was great and we loved their order forms, which used a laminated form and a marker. Chef walked around to ask how each table was and chat briefly so the vibe and feel were excellent.

I was in town visiting and wanted a taste of home (Seattle) so we ordered a large platter of rolls. It was the best sushi I have had in Michigan (Sharaku used to be the best). We ordered the Asteroid, Tropical, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, Alaska Pipe, and Milford rolls. The spicy rolls had just the right amount of spice to them, i.e. you could still taste the fish. The Tropical roll was the fan favorite. I am only giving four stars because I have not tried their sashimi or nigiri sushi yet.

LOVE..love love love love love this place!!!! I am a frequent customer, so much so that they know me by order, but this place is just so amazing!!! The owner is the most friendliest person I have ever met and the food...oh man the food is addicting. I fight myself so that I don't eat here everyday. Speaking of that...I'm going to get some Oh Tokyo today! The calamari, the Las Vegas roll, the Friends roll...mmmmmmmmmm!!! If you haven't gone here, go. If you have, I know you'll go again.

Went in to night to find that Kevin sold the business! Luckily Gary is still there, there is now no alcohol anymore though. They have a new menu but some of the old favorites still, I ordered the Gary roll and a Spicy California roll and my husband had the steak and shrimp dinner. The dressing for the salad is different and has a bit too much ginger. My Spicy California roll had no flavor and I only ate one piece, the Gary roll was not much better. The Wasabi sauce was weak and watered down and the tuna was low grade, mushy and had no flavor. My husband's dinner was a little better, he did say the steak was a lower quality but the shrimp was good. We will NOT be going back and are really bummed as this place was right down the road from us.

Sushi is very good here. They prepare everything fresh to order so takes a bit to get your food but worth it. My son's favorite dish is the garlic bacon rice. Really tasty. I love the Las Vegas roll and also like the crunchy spicy tuna roll. You can get beer and wine here as well which pairs perfectly with the sushi. Grab a to go menu and mark down what you ordered so you can order to go or for eating in. Yum!!

Disappointing. If you have the time drive west 15 minutes and go to sushi zen instead. I just don't get a sense of care from the staff and the place is more on the dirty side- sushi bar was sticky... I had shrimp and Cali roll plus some tuna. Even Kroger sushi is better. Avoid! I seriously can't imagine why someone would return...

Food is priced well. Only 10 tables. Most bussnies is take out so if u dine in expect to wait. They are extremely busy fillin phone orders.

Stopped here for a birthday dinner of sushi and more sushi. We had a wide variety of sushi and sashimi, calamari, and endanamae. Everything was perfect! I personally like the seafood blast roll, and their tempura shrimp roll is great as well. The quality of the food is better than many more expensive places we've eaten, and this is smaller, homier, and altogether a better experience. Give it a try. If you like sushi (and you're not a snob), I bet you'll be back! Oh, and have an ice cold Sapporo while you're there!

Moved here about a year ago from Saginaw and was really missing the comforts of home when it comes to Japanese Food/Sushi. To get my fix, I usually head for Novi. To my pleasant surprise, I found Oh Tokyo on Yelp and thought I'd check it out. First, the atmosphere has great energy. It's cozy, warm, and unexpected. The food was an A+! My little man (5 yrs old) and I shared the Bento box and there was more than enough for us. Too much actually :) The chicken & vegetables was delicious, the rolls....divine! The tempura....as good as it gets. Our server was very personable and helpful (she heard my son coughing and offered an ancient remedy to help cure colds). Would I go again? Absolutely, it's going to be our replacement from what we've been missing back home! Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely! The prices are very good and below average on some items.

I am a novice when it comes to sushi, that being said this is a great place for sushi. I happened by this place because the sign on the door said "official sushi of the Detroit Red Wings" and I thought might as well give it a try. I ordered a rainbow roll and it was fresh and tasty. The owner took time to talk to me while working and gave me suggestions of other sushi to try to expand my horizons. Try this place and you will be happy you did.

I love sushi, and have been to all the Japanese sushi bars and this one is "The BEST". It is not that big inside but the food is what I am there for. The sushi portions are larger, fresher and better tasting. What else can I say. Kevin the owner takes care everyone who comes in, Authentic Japanese food for a great price. Best in the area for sure.

I love this place! I've been to Japan about six times, and the food here is pretty close to "authentic". The sushi/sashimi selection is great, but there is also a typical assortment of cooked foods for non-raw-fish lovers. Dishes include traditional noodle dishes, sushi, sasmimi, rolls, and teriyaki/tepenyaki plates (chicken, beef), tempura. Prices are very reasonable, and service is great.
