I was visiting a friends lake cottage and wanted to grab breakfast. I found this place on yelp, the closest to us. Wasn't sure about it but said hey.. Why not. Read the previous review and decided to give it a try. I must say.. The previous review was on point. That wheat bread was delicious. I had the big breakfast. Sooo much food. I Didn't nearly put a dent in my plate. Most restaurants have a variety of fruit but here they had watermelon slices. The best watermelon ive had in a long time. Great decision to stick with one fruit. The service was great. Ambience was great. Again , the food was awesome. A like the their version of homestyle potatoes. There was a small issue but it was taken care of right away. I gave 4 stars due to the issue I had but overall, a great experience. When I'm back in the area, I will most definitely be back if for nothing else, the bread and watermelon.

I now have a favorite new breakfast place in West Michigan. The decor is what you'd expect: warm homey country mom. The food is the star here. I had a German omelet which had giant pieces of sausage, potatoes, onions, sour cream, and swiss cheese. It was fantastic! I rarely get omelettes because I usually find them kind if boring, but I thought sour cream was an interesting choice so I had to try it and I'm glad I did. It was creamy gooey delicious. When I ordered I was presented with several home made in house bread choices. I loved my wheat toast. Let's be honest here, wheat toast is usually something you get to "be good." It's boring. Their toast was thick cut and looked like it'd be heavy and hard but it was airy and soft. I can't believe I'm writing about wheat toast but it was delicious and made the wife and I want to buy a loaf. My wife had pancakes and they too were fantastic. Big, fluffy, and sweet. Bacon was cooked perfectly and not overly greasy or rubbery. Overall it was a delicious breakfast and I will definitely be back.

Gotta say the this place is great. Nice little dinning spot in the Gun Lake area. I have been to most of the local breakfast stops and this at the top of my list. The place was clean and the service was great. The most important thing: The food was incredible, I had 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, potato's and home made toast. There was more food than i could eat but I kept eating because it was so good. The menu was very reasonably priced. After my first visit I will definitely be back and would recommend coming here if you are in the area, or if your not in the area.

Well, I hadn't been to this place for many, many years when it used to be known as the Chuck Wagon. I had many great memories of this summer haunt of mine and the great burgers and cute waitresses of my age who worked there. So, the place has been remodeled a few times. Gone is the counter and stools on which I sat for hours. In their place are tables and lots of chairs. Gone too, are the cute waitresses I used to engage, but I must say we had a good server today. I had the patty melt which comes with chips and a pickle spear. Absolutely one of the best patty melts I have had in a long time! Highly recommended. Suzy had breakfast of eggs, hash browns, sausage patties and toast. She said it was all very good and that she especially liked the hash browns. Prices were reasonable and there is plenty of parking. I've decided not to wait so many years to come back to this spot as they've made a fan out of me!
