Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Wonderful little spot on 3rd street! Parking can be complicated, but isn't much of a walk from anywhere on the little strip. Can eat in or pick up and go. Great Italian food, best gnocchi I've ever had. Worth your time.

I've lived in Marquette for quite some time and surprisingly never eaten at Pasta Shop. In town visiting, I decided that it has been too long; I must try it! Well I was not disappointed by the food, but the price, whoa! I get it, I get it. They make all of their pasta in shop, okay. It was exceptionally tasty pasta, I will say that. I ordered the cheese ravioli and linguine, both with cheese sauce. Both dishes were very good. One came with a salad and the other came with garlic bread. I have no complaints. If you're willing to pay a little bit more, you'll be happy with Pasta Shop.

Locally owned, in-house made pasta and bread. Terrific sandwiches. Great cudighi. Friendly service. Just really good, all the way around.

My uncle owns the Discount Vacuum next door, same place I worked in HS, and we went to the Pasta Shop 3-4 times a week. Meatball sub is my fav but keep in mind its a good place for fresh pasta too. I would say try everything and do it soon. This is a Marquette staple. There is seating inside also but grab a sub and walk up and down 3rd Street if the weather is nice, maybe make your way downtown. Great place, trust me, I've done some traveling and tried my share, just wish I knew of somewhere similar in Cleveland East side. BTW - The bread comes from Togo's!!

This used to be one of our favorite casual dining spots to eat, however lately the quality seems to have gone a bit down. Also the price increases on their menu items are starting to get out of control. 8 dollars for a bowl of pasta? Too pricey for a casual dining environment!

Probably my favorite pasta place in the area. The garlic bread is definitely the best I have ever had. It is fast and the prices aren't to bad.
