My best friend had her wedding reception at Ore Dock this past weekend and it was amazing. The brewery rents out their second floor space on non-weekend nights for private events. The staff and management were extremely helpful in all aspects including decorating, setup and takedown, and of course keeping the beer flowing. The space is so unique it hardly needs decorating though. We really appreciated their hard work all weekend to make the day a success. I highly recommend having your special event at Oredock.

Tops for beer and atmosphere The entire crew is outgoing and available. The beer is unreal.....had Serrano Saison and it was a unique blend of spice and flavor that is addicting. Live music on the weekends, outdoor seating, and overall energy was enjoyable. See you soon!! Thanks, J & C

Good food. Great location. The kind of place that every downtown should have. Food is good and service is too. Would like to see a bit more on the menu.

My wife and I were there Saturday. Lousy service. One bartender who couldn't walk around the bar to wait on us and our table. Pretty much self serve if you want something to drink. Most brewpubs have a certain ambience that makes you feel like you're in a brew pub. This place has absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever! The furniture looks like it came from a salvage yard. The beers were average at best.

Nothing better than a local brewery with a great atmosphere and location. We had the double IPA (Buzz), IPA (Reclamation) and the Porter. All were great. We bought food at Donkers (a couple blocks away) and brought it into Ore Dock Brewery which they had no problem with since they don't serve food.

Best beer in da UP. No food avail, so you can order in and enjoy great beer with food of your choice. Remember to tell them that you are at Ore Dock because there are discounts!

Nicest building restoration in Marquette. Truly unique interior design and venue. All Their Craft beers are great to taste and the variety is abundant. A Must See and Taste.

Wonderful new brewery in Marquette. I'm 30something and this would be a perfect place for me and all my cronies to hang. Beer was delicious. Did some Christmas shopping while I was there and received a free sticker / glass, what a great place. They do a lot of wonderful events throughout the week. Be sure to stop upstairs too; as I could only peek thru the window but really liked what I saw. I also have a hunch that I know the owner, but that has yet to be verified. ;)

Very good with a nice selection of beers. No food but there are options in the area. We were there on a Saturday afternoon. We would like to visit during the evening with live entertainment.

Absolutely my favorite place in the world to enjoy such precious liquids. I remember going to the Ore Dock's first grand opening a couple summers ago and although I was impressed, I didn't see myself frequenting it that much. When they had their regrand opening to introduce the upstairs community space to the world, I was a bit more intrigued. Over the past two years, it has become a place of warmth and camaraderie for me. It's almost like watching a child grow up. The first time I went it was still unfinished and rudimentary. Over the past two years I have watched it grow and improve day by day. New decorations and furniture and fixtures are continuously added to the lineup. I enjoy the atmosphere more than any other establishment I have visited. It is truly one of the warmest, most comfortable places in Marquette to hangout. The community space upstairs was really a leg up for them and it was fabulously constructed and decorated. My favorite addition is the recently finished fireplace. The free popcorn is always a plus too. I love going to the OD for a brew and playing games with friends or ordering a pizza. This place never gets old. Honestly the best place in Marquette. It's a must visit!

My friends had their Virgil's root beer and it has the stamp of approval. I had a wheat something or other and it was good too. No cider, alas. Staff and patrons very friendly. I think this place has live music some evenings, not this eve. There were tents in the street and the bar was busy. The restoration is very nicely done. P.s I loved the swing.

Great beer and the bar is beautiful! Never disappointing. Good bands on weekends. I really like the beach bum wheat.

I would give this place 5 stars if they had food besides popcorn and pretzels. I'm not sure how it fits in the restaurant category in yelp. I did rather enjoy my Leaf Lookers beer that I had but was disappointed they didn't sell food (you can bring it in). Regardless I loved the atmosphere, the bartender was great and the beer was good. I will stop back again. They do tours by appointment also. Cute place!

How would you describe the beer? Are there really even words to describe a feeling? Happyness. Bold flavors. Interesting combinations. If you're looking for a taste of the Michigan brew scene look no further. Beyond bar pretzels (nothing fancy) there weren't any food options, but the selection of seasonal beer was more then enough to warrant the trip. Plenty of board games to mossy your fancy as well, something always pleasant to find at a bar. Clean facilities, quick service and a friendly staff.

For Marquette - a place with few food and drink standouts - this place is a real gem. Great beer menu with frequently rotating taps. All the beers I tasted were quite good. Dream Weaver Belgian Amber was the tastiest. Cool decor with casual but comfortable seating. A great glass overhead roll up door that opens up on nice days. No food other than popcorn and pretzels. Marquette needs more places like this!

I don't really like beer, but my boyfriend does and he loved what we had there. I'm a big fan of the ambience though, it's very fun and relaxed. They've got fresh popcorn to snack on and board/card games to play. Also, Dia De Los Tacos sometimes stops outside, and on nice days they'll open up the garage door wall. I'd give it a five if they offered just a teensy bit more variety in their drinks/food. Like all I'd need is one non-beer option for the folks like me who don't care for it but are there with friends, maybe a hard cider or a single cocktail option. Anyways, nice place overall.

Ore Dock Brewing Company. Without a doubt my favorite brewery in Marquette. From the great atmosphere to the great craft beers, this place will surely be a great experience. My first visit to this establishment was in the late summer of 2013. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was something special. Sports were on the TV, the rustic styling of the interior was awesome, and not to mention the variety in craft beer on tap! Unsure of what to order, I looked at the large chalk board that has all the beers clearly laid out, their contents, and the alcohol percentage. I settled on Ore Dock Gold. From the moment I tasted it, I knew I was in the right place. I then found myself returning to the bar for the various other beers on tap. Rarely does this establishment produce a beer that I don't enjoy. It carries all your standard beer types such as stouts, IPA's and ale's, so there are types of beers for all your friends to enjoy. Since that faithful day, I have returned to the Ore Dock every time I am in Marquette. It is a great place to go with friends and the craft beers are always different. Popcorn is always being made and there are board games there to play, as well as a foosball table. (You can imagine games can get rowdy after a couple of beers). They even have growlers available so that you can take the beer home with you, needless to say, I bought this on my second visit. The staff at the Ore Dock is always been very friendly and is always willing to take my order quickly and accurately. They always have a smile on their face and it truly feels that they really enjoy what they do. Another big plus is the live music on the second level over the weekends. Since the second level is closed during the week, it is a real treat to go upstairs and listen to some good bands play while enjoying a pint. Another plus to the second level is the continuance of the atmosphere with large area setting, booths, and even a fire place to settle in while drinking a beer! Long story short, if your in Marquette, this is a must. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to hang out with a large group of friends all the way down to someone who is just looking to have a good beer and watch sports. A true treasure in Marquette!

Great beer - nice atmosphere - friendly waiter We were in to check out some of their brews. They were all good and the next time we are going to be in Marquette we will visit Ore Dock again. Unfortunately we had only a little time here.

Venue seemed brand new inside. We saw a great band here and picked up Dia de Los Tacos. The Venue hold a lot do people but doesn't have a ton of seating compared to it's size. This makes it feel very Lange and open inside. The stage was situated and lit very well for most to see.

Great beer, but not the place for the family. I've heard they'll let you bring in your own food since they do not have any. Ultimately the beer is great, and you don't need anymore than that.

I've been so very impressed with this place. So impressed that after a couple visits, we decided to have out wedding reception here. The beer rotates and as of so far I've liked all but one (the jalapeno wasn't my fav). The space is ideal for everything from quiet business meetings to rumpus music shows. Staff is great. Hard to get a hold of for events, but easy to work with.

What an awesome new spot in Marquette. Ore Dock shines in two key catagories; layout and beer selextion. The styles are diverse, from dry hopped pales to nice dark browns. They seem to have just the perfect tap selection for the season. The layout of the place is awesome, inside the garage door you have several seating areas that have high tables, couches, large tables, and of course the bar. Music was solid and the TVs were a good addition, but not in the way. I love the fact that you can see the fermenting tanks and they also do tours of the brewery. The beers themselves were all solid and clean. Nothing to crazy, but all above your average small brewery. The belgian ipa and the red ale were fantastic. One note to the owners, don't chill all the taps so cold. Belgian ipa needs to be above 35 degrees to be truly enjoyed. All together, the prices were fair and I'd love to go back for more.

Best beer in the UP! You won't be let down here the beer is out of this world the people are friendly and the crowd is great! On weekends they always bring in great bands and performers!

Disappointing. We came here recommended by locals. Their beer is really subpar especially for a local brewery. Their porter was very watery and lacked flavor and creaminess. It tasted more like an Amstel than a craft brewery beer. We also tried a sampling of beers and only liked a few. They all lacked in flavor and taste, as well as body. We visit brewery's all over the country and have never been this let down. Extremely disappointing. Don't go out of your way to visit here, not much to see, and less to taste.

The tap room and upstairs community center are a huge draw. Detailed, comfortable and trendy. The Ore Dock brings in quality musical acts and the local artists have a good following when they play. The staff is friendly and always recognize me when I stop in for a few pints. The beer however, is average at best. I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of belgian yeasts, but the issue with the beer isn't just that. The standard yeast does not flocculate well and the brewhouse doesn't filter. The beer is not cloudy looking, it's murky. We enjoy food and drink with all of our senses and looking at a pint of murky brew just starts the experience off wrong. The beer is OK, you'll find something to drink and have a good time. If it weren't for the entire experience, plus the fact that the Dia De Los Tacos truck will park out front, we'd frequent less often.

Very good atmosphere and great beer. Friendly, Laid Back staff. Didn't get to check out the live band but I heard really good things about the goings on in the upper room. Just what Marquette needs!

What a cool place with great beer. Ore Dock embodies everything I love about breweries: comfortable space for friends to visit, a variety of high-quality beers, and a celebration of music. Bum's Beach, IPA, and Leaf Lookers were amongst my favorite beers. They had a taco truck outside when we were here. Too bad we had just had a huge dinner beforehand because those tacos looked delicious. When in Marquette this is a must-stop!

This place is great. The beer is quite good, but what really sets Ore Dock over the top is the atmosphere. Downstairs the front opens up to the outside (when it's warm, which is admittedly rare for Marquette) to allow in all kinds of fresh air. There are plenty of TV's, tables and a really nice bar. Upstairs is wide open and amazing. There is an enormous, beautiful bar upstairs, really comfy couches, booths, tables, and a lot of space for cool events (including bands every weekend). It's also worth noting that on weekend evenings, the local food truck sets up upstairs. Which is awesomesauce. You won't go wrong checking this place out.

I am a fan of Ore Dock Brewing Company for sure. I was in there last month and did a sampler of the current beers on tap and was able to find a few beers that I could find myself ordering again and again. It's also great to see a fun business open up on Spring Street, giving me a reason to go past Washington St. again. Having been recently opened, they have that brand new look and feel which I see lasting for a while. From the bar you can see the beer production room with the kettle and tanks behind glass windows. I'm still itching to get back there for a tour! Since they don't have a kitchen, it is bring your own food, which can be nice - I'll just spend my money on beer instead! They were working on an upstairs area at the time, I am excited to see that open and the space take on both levels. I think after they open that up and really get all of their beers going, I will have to update my rating to 5 stars instead of just 4.

Was up visiting from Chicago and found this GEM of a taproom. Some taprooms I've been to are pretentious, stuffy and filled with arrogant staff that can't be bothered to share any info about the brewery, but this place is the exact opposite. The air hockey tables, comfortable seating, TVs and friendly staff make this a great place to hang out...And let's not forget the beer; the price for the sampler can't be beat. Especially good beers were the Saisons, the cloudy IPA (the name escapes me) and one called 'Dream Weaver'. This place will become routine when I visit the UP.

My favorite spot in Marquette. Don't be shy in asking for pretzels and the house mustard. Anywhere that delivers will bring food to the brewery. If the Au Contrier (misspelled) is on tap, get yourself a glass! You're welcome!

Great atmosphere with cozy tap room. I had the Reclamation, mildly hoppy with a great finish. For the business traveler, walking distance to the Hampton!

I'm glad there's another brewery in town! The great thing about the Ore Dock is their enormous new upstairs, open thurs-sat. There's always room for all of your friends, and it's nicely done up there with a rustic feel. The beer at the Ore Dock is good, but the last three times I went there they didn't have that many varieties and they were the same every time I visited. I'd love to see them do more types of beer and have a faster turnover on the styles.

One of my favorite places in Marquette! Nice big space, ambience is terrific, and the beer delicious!
