My wife and I stopped by on a cool rainy day after seeing the good reviews here. The owner exuded passion and enthusiasm for great customer service. He made us feel right at home! My wife enjoyed the veggie pastie as I did the traditional pastie. It brightened our day! Another customer from North Carolina was returning after visiting here last summer. He purchased multiple pasties to take back home. We will be back as well!

This is the first pasty that I liked. Have tried a few to understand what the big deal is. Others were bland filling in terrible crust. This pasty actually had flavor and a good crust.

Best Pastie I've ever had. The owner seemed like a solid guy who really takes pride in what he does. Try the spicy pastie sauce.

I love Jean Kays. I have never had a bad experience in this shop, not once. the pasties are my favorite in Marquette and perhaps in the U.P., but the best thing about this shop is the owner. His passion for his product is obvious and his manner is always open and welcoming. And to top it all off, at 3.50$ the pasties are downright affordable. Jean Kays I salute you!

I'm not a huge pasty lover but I do appreciate a good pasty now and then and Jean Kays is as good it gets. The flaky dough, the tender flank steak and of course rutabagies make these stand above the crowd in the U.P. At just $3.75 this a meal-sized pasty is a bargain. I've never tried the subs. That would be like ordering salad at a steakhouse. JKs is a must stop whenever we get up north.

The manager is very pushy and opinionated about what you SHOULD order. He was like that on three different visits. The pasties are mediocre at best. Would not recommend and will never go there again.

The best pasties in town (next to my Grandmas) always fresh and the frozen ones make it the 8 hour drive back downstate. If your in the U.P. and want to try a pasty Jean Kays does them justice!

Delicious! I was in Marquette to see some friends play at Upfront and Company. Stopped in for lunch and had a pasty. Soooo Good!
