Not only is the food amazing, but the customer service is the best I've ever seen! I put in an order for take-out and specified no dairy, but didn't check until I got home. Well, there was sour cream and cheese on my Carne Asada. So my husband called to complain, and they made me a new one and delivered it to my house along with a big bag of chips and a thing of salsa! I am so impressed!

This is a counter service place, similar to Chipotle or Baja Fresh. I thought the fish taco was great, steak taco good. My son had the kids burrito, which we paid extra to add steak to. He described it as lots of beans, a little steak, very little cheese. He's generally easy to please. They do have a limited beer menu.

Fresh ingredients and from scratch recipes! Yum! Whitefish tacos...order two. Three is too many...one just won't be enough! :)

I'm really starting to like this place a lot! I usually eat here about once a week, getting their Border salad with chicken or steak. The salad is incredibly tasty, a good portion, and it's filled with delicious toppings and Mexican rice. Always cool, crisp, and fresh tasting. For dressing, you get what they call "pico juice," which is the liquid left over from making pico de gallo, as well as their "salsa blanca" which is so good, and low in fat to boot! I sometimes wish they would season the meat a little more, but with all the flavorful toppings and the dressing, it's not really necessary. I don't really care for the orange colored house salsa they serve with every order (comes with chips). To me it tastes like weak Campbells tomato soup in a creamy form...not sure what it is, but I don't usually eat the chips anyway because I end up too full from the salad! All in all, great service and great food! Try this place!

In the area on vacation and stopped here for a quick bite to eat before a movie. The service was fantastic and the staff super friendly. I had the veggie bowl and it was excellent. Light, flavorful, and not too much food. This restaurant is a lot like a Chipotle or Qdoba, but the serving sizes are smaller and the food a lot less salty. I don't know if it is -- but it felt a lot healthier!

A working knowledge of gluten tolerance, and a totally decent taco. Not the *best* taco, but not bad at all. pretty fast, reasonably priced.

Always my favorite restaurant in Marquette, MI. This is a great location for people watching on 3rd street. The food is still as awesome as the first day I had it. The burritos are great here and not messy like other places (Chipotle & Qdoba). The border and fuego salsas are the best out there and I always grab some to take home. I don't get the "really not bad" review. I've had really good Mexican food in Milwaukee and this is up there.

On a road trip across the midwest, arrived in Marquette, MI late on a Monday in August. Headed to Third St. to seek dinner at around 10 PM and looked for outdoor seating so that my dog could join me. Border Grill was about to close, but the entire staff was welcoming and helpful, quickly prepared a delicious shrimp burrito, and even had a biscuit for my dog. Border Grill doesn't have locations in Canada, so I didn't even know that it was a chain. Overall, I was quite impressed.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
