I've only heard of big boy but I've never actually been to one finally after visiting Michigan I've had the chance to go and try a big boy burger. To my surprise when I walked in it was not quite what I was expecting there was an all you can eat bar in the corner and it kind of just seemed a little dirty. Our waitress was extremely nice and friendly and tolerated me for my friends she got her order a correctly right away and the food came out extremely quickly. I ordered the big boy classic with fries. The burger was good but the meet was pretty much paper thin, so if you're extremely hungry I would advise not to even bother ordering this and try to get a bigger one. Prices are pretty high when they don't offer that much food but overall the food was good the service was good

I gotta say- I'm a Big Boy fan! Stopped in on my way home and was pleased. Store was clean and staff was friendly- though I did notice something odd which I will address later. Ordered the big Irish- mmmmmmmmmmmmm so tasty! Burger patty was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of juice, great flavor and the bun was soft and delicious too!!! Fries were crispy and done right- so many time elsewhere I have gotten soggy fries- not here! Oh- the strawberry milk shake---- Yes Yes Yes!!!!!!!! Biggest complaint I have is not about the service- which was great! The 2 managers ( both male) obviously hired the waitresses- ALL of them female, most of them good looking. I say obviously because they were always right there next to the better looking girls asking them "you ok?" (Like they were protecting them) any time they were talking to a patron other than an elderly person- it was creepy!!!!! To make it even more uncomfortable, 1 of the managers was standing at the front like a prison guard at lunch in the mess hall- just staring at people- seriously uncomfortable vibes from that guy. Other than that- it was great!!!!

Typical Big Boy fare and experience. Staff was pleasant and got the job done. Salad bar left us wanting, but if you're looking for a burger & fries, this spot will do.

Big Boy is a solid choice for breakfast in Marquette. They have a really nice brunch buffet for about $9. I usually opt for the pick 4 meal where you can pick any four items from a specified list. That is about half the price of the buffet, and it fills me up. Unless there is a big event in town, you probably won't have to wait to be seated. The servers all seem to be quite pleasant too. Overall, this is a pretty great place. It is often my choice for the morning after a celebration!

Can't compare this to the OLD Big Boy. Yes all Big Boy's have the same menu so you know what you are getting. The new place, is clean, bright, airy with windows. Food is Big Boy food but what really matters is the service here. No question fast, and friendly and always helpful, I mean over the top but not to the point of being annoying. A few unobtrusive TVs to catch a glimpse of a game or news. Clean restrooms, wide enough aisles and though it is fairly regular with customers never wait too long for a table or too noisy. Big Boy food only better

I grew up in Marquette through the goods and bads of Big Boy and it seems that they are making a comeback. I recently went in for breakfast during my last visit and had a 4 star meal. I'll give it another shot during Christmas and update again. Jen is correct though, you are in and out in no time!!

What can I say, it's a chain, so the menu is the same anywhere, but the staff was great, everything was clean, and service was quick. Everything you'd expect, but just better.

While Big Boy would normally only be a three-star venue in my opinion, this location had three big positives compared to other locations. First, this restaurant was super new looking and clean. Nice bathrooms, clean floors, clean tables, smoke-free (thanks Michigan). Second, free wi-fi. This would have been super handy for yelping while I waited, but that brings me to the third great part about this place... lightning fast service. It was relatively busy when we stopped, but we waited less than 10 minutes for our food after ordering.
