TJ's is a neat little place. My family and I ate a late lunch there. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We ordered some hot sandwiches, a salad, and the baguette appetizer. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The food won't fill you up as they seem to focus on quality rather than quantity. Nice beer selection on tap.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and unique delicious food for a VERY reasonable price. Also good drinks that were reasonably priced as well.

This used to be a favorite of ours but they got new owners who care more about themselves than their customers. They had a large party on a busy Friday night where they had the chef cook up special dishes for them backing up the kitchen for the rest of the restaurant. You would think they would be seeing what they could do to make it more enjoyable for their customers not themselves. They should visit the Glenwood or Shays to see how owners care

A nice little restaurant and bar. Good food and service. The Bruschetta was awesome.

Nice Gluten Free Accomadation! Our camping party arrived here frigid and tired one afternoon after deciding to walk into town from the campsite. It was a lovely atmosphere to settle into. Its sort of in a half-basement, pleasantly dark and cozy. The waiters were very kind and even brewed us a fresh pot of coffee. The fare is pretty standard pub-type food - sandwiches, burgers, etc. We got some lovely tamales as an appetizers, which was nice. I ordered a reuben without the bread, because I can't eat gluten. They were nice enough to put the corned beef and sauerkraut in a little ramekin and bake it off with the cheese on top, like a mini reuben casserole! That was quite above and beyond, and I really appreciated it. The price was reasonable, the beer selection was outstanding. The atmosphere is very friendly and amiable, lots of locals hanging out and enjoying themselves. They're aren't a whole lot of options in manistee to begin with, but this is probably the best combination of food, atmosphere, and price going.

TJ's pub in downtown Manistee has it all: a great location in an historic building, interesting craft beer on a continual rotation, and great food. The menu includes wonderful soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches, and appetizers. After eating here all week, I'm impressed by the consistent quality of the food as well as the service.

We are in from Minneapolis and can say that if you don't stop and eat a TJ's when you stay in Manistee or at least pass through, you've missed out on one of the best local gems. Great food (try the sushi, it's fantastic), superb beer selection, friendly staff and just a great location on main street to shop then eat. Whether its a quick bite and cocktail or a sit down dinner, do yourself a favor and stop at TJ's so you can get a taste of Michigan at it's best.

TJs was ok. We found it wondering through downtown manistee and thought we would check it out. Service was really good. Food was pretty good, just not very much. Both of us left there feeling like we had just had a very light lunch. Which in all honesty is fine but not for the prices we paid. $8 for a wedge salad that is smaller than a side wedge salad at other places is a little much.

We love TJ's. They offer great food (we've eaten many lunches there) and they have a great selection of beer. This is a great place to eat.

Fantastic setting, decent food and any drink you want. The staff is friendly and competent. The manager is active in the whole operation and it shows. They will cater to special parties, even closing the pub to the public for a short time. My only complaint is the acoustics. The building is masonry and sound ricochets.

This pub occupies a nice new-looking space in the corner of a building. However, there is no tap beer - all bottles. The menu is limited and there are no entrees. The sandwiches were fine but nothing really special. Overall this place has a feel of just getting started. There is room for improvement and perhaps it will rise to the occasion.

TJ's pub has a very nice bar atmosphere, plenty of tables, and beautiful brick wall and decor. It felt nice to come in from a rainy day to a warm and welcoming restaurant. The bar was fully stocked and had a great selection of craft beer. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, apps (went during half-off apps which is a plus!) and sandwiches that all sounded amazing. I had the baked marinara and goat cheese for an app and it was delicious except for we only got 4 pieces of French bread to split between the 3 of us. We waited a while to get the waiter's attention for more to finish off the cheese and another 10 minutes until we got a plate with 3 small pieces. A bit disappointing, should be noted though. Good place to get a casual but nice lunch or dinner!

We've returned multiple times for the tamales, the tomato/turkey/pesto sandwich (the "Tuscana"), and the BLT. The Michigan-made potato chips, seasoned with a special blend of spices, are also addictive. The place can get a bit loud during prime times, and the 4-top table in the back, near the bathroom door, isn't the most optimal. Otherwise, this is one of the best spots for casual and reasonably priced meals in downtown Manistee.

Great Beer and great sustainable food. TJ's is the basics, but with the chef's flair in Devine provence. With a twist on appetizers and sandwiches gives TJ that extra special something. Their apps sandwiches are named appropriately, although some of the appetizers are so basic, I said "I can make that" many a times. Like the Local Platter, although very good, very basic. The Tamales were a little complicated for me, but, very tasty and a large portion. My entree I had the Germania, basically its a Ruben, but with sliced turkey, but it was delicious. My friends had the Americana and the Brazillia, both very good too! Michigan products and friendly service, can't go wrong there!

My husband and I stopped her for lunch and had the CLT sandwich, which was a BLT with avocado. Very yummy, nice European pub like atmosphere set in a basement near the Ramsdale.

Great place for organic, fresh, local and gluten free. Bartenders make good cocktails, and the sushi on the weekends is really good! They have unique pizza and sandwiches but not much in the way of typical entrees. The Snooki - fresh meatballs on ciabatta, is my fave.

Nice spot in downtown Manistee. BBQ chicken pizza is fantastic! Large selection of wine & beer (they now have beer on tap). Food choices are limited but still offer enough of a variety where there's something for everyone. Small, quaint place.
