I was somewhat surprised to give a Big Boy 4 stars. But everything was very good this visit so they did earn it. Both Maria and I had the veal and it was very good. The waitress was friendly. It was Sunday evening before Memorial Day and it was crowded but the service was fast.

After ordering I over-heard other customers talking about a price increase. We regularly visit this restaurant and already know what we are going to order before we walk in. They raised the cost of the buffet and a soft drink to $18.20 + tip. Ponderosa is just down the street a few blocks with a larger buffet and at half the cost.

Best Big Boy I have ever been to. When I was a kid, Big Boy was the place to eat. Until I visited this Big Boy I thought those days were gone forever. The food was fresh, the service was good, and the restaurant was clean from top to bottom, including the bathrooms. Quite a pleasant surprise.

50 minutes to get stone cold over easy eggs. The wait staff kept blaming the new computer system. Hard to blame a computer for eggs under a heat lamp. Regular coffee service may have eased the problem. Don't go there because it's easy to park.

It should be only 3 stars because the wait was long. I'm giving it four because the staff was courteous enough to apologize for the wait and the food turned out surprisingly good for a franchised fast food place. Try the Big Irish and the Fish & Chips. If you're in a rush or have the taste buds of a food critic, go somewhere else.

Salad/breakfast bar food is not always the freshest but not too bad. My family and I go there often

One of the worst meals ever. Service was incredibly slow. The food at the buffet was lukewarm at best, there was no milk for the cereal, and no fruit available. It took more than an hour for the food that had to be order to come to the table, and even it was just warm bordering on cold. All and all a most avoid restaurant wether you are a vacationer or local.

The worst meal I have had in a long time that hamburger tasted like I was eating grease out of the pad all the dressing at the salad bar tasted funny even the dessert I had the ultimate brownie the brownie tasted like it was frozen service was really good food really bad

Good restaurant. It's clean, service is good (many servers have been there for quite a while), and staff is friendly. Food is standard for this type of restaurant. They have a great breakfast that they serve all say. Lots of menu options for lunch and dinner. Good quality food at a good price.

My hometown had a Big Boy that I dreaded going to, specifically because of the poor service and poorly cooked food. This Big Boy however has great service and the food is about as good as a Big Boy can get. The great thing here is the staff's willingness to experiment. We go there for some manager meetings and the staff is more than happy to attempt to please my manager, who is addicted to the strawberry waffles and gets two orders stacked up.

Vacationing in Ludington, my wife fell ill and we thought some hot soup would hit the spot. We came to Big Boy where she proceeded to order beef barley vegetable (chicken noodle was not on the day's menu). Then we both ordered chicken strips. Soup was good, chicken strips were awesome! Then I got the mini Oreo sundae. For $1.99, what a deal. And the ice cream was WAY better than that of House of Flavors down the street toward the lake. Waitress was fast, attentive, and supplied us with refills often. Highly recommended.

This was the nicest Big Boy I've ever been to!! Not that I frequent them often, but we had a really good breakfast here while on vacation. It was clean and someone took the time to decorate the dining room with homelike items which made it extra cozy. Our waitress was friendly but felt the need to tell us we were her last table. We also ordered milkshakes - nummy!!!

This was the worst ever. We arrived just behind a party of 8. Four adults and four kids. Both of our parties were sat within moments of each other. To start it took almost ten minutes to have someone take out drink order. Now please understand they were not busy at all. It then took almost another 20 minutes to get our food. Remember that other party they were still waiting on their food. When our food did come, a buffalo chicken sandwich and turkey melt (nothing too complex), it was ok. The buffalo chicken sandwich had virtually no ranch on it and I went and helped myself to a soup bowl full off the buffet so I did not have to wait. The turkey melt was lacking in the coleslaw department but still not bad. When we finished and went up to pay that other party was still waiting on their food. Then to top it off while waiting in line to pay we spied the managers office door. It had two lovely signs on it. One eloquently stated "Go Away!" The other was even more delightful proclaiming everyone to "Spare Me the Drama". Overall it left me feeling with a heart full of joy from this epic disaster of a visit. I hope that other party eventually ate, along with a lot other people who were waiting and looking peckish.
