The other reviews are pretty accurate. Service was a little lacking but not enough to get me fired up. Menu is extensive which in my eyes means they don't really do anything exceptional. But everything we ordered was good. It's no different than breakfast at Leo's so don't expect something super exciting. The one thing I noticed on our way out was that the floor was absolutely filthy! It wasn't raining out so it wasn't tracked in from outside. And there were empty jelly packets everywhere that obviously fell when the tables were bused and nobody bothered to pick them up. Just made the whole place look dirty. But I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was the end of the breakfast rush on Sunday after church so we'll go back and give it another try.

I'm sorry, but we did not have a good experience at this new brunch place. It appears to be family owned and operated, conveniently located off of 6 mile and haggerty. We've been waiting for a good breakfast place to open up for some time now, so we were eager to give this place a try. The management didn't do a good job of "managing" his staff. There were issues with waiters and watresses being assigned stations/tables - huge mistake for such a small restaurant. We could tell that the young girl trying to serve was trying her to do her best, but she received no direction from management or the kitchen staff. My husband ordered the french toast, which was supposed to be the house special. It did not look or even taste like what it was called. My food was also cold and mediocre at best. Anyways, I don't think this place will last very long, unless Gordan Ramsey goes in there and does some damage control. I feel bad because I grew up in the restaurant biz and I know a lot of time, money, and heart goes into opening a restaurant. But with that, you have also have some business acumen.

Dont waste your time and money. We got seated right away but then we waited so long to order. Once we ordered, it took awhile to get our food. Food was cold and did not taste good at all. My kids make better breakfast, definitely needs some improvement.

My 9 year-old son and I visited Zoe's for the frist time this morning. The food was okay: my Belgian waffle with bananas and pecans was very good, my son's Oreo pancakes were mediocre at best (he thought they were good because they were sweeet and served with whipped cream). The service was horrendous. Most of the waitresses were hanging out in a booth - with what appeared to be the boyfirend of one of them - laughing and paying no attention to the very few custoomers who were in the restaurant. We waited forever to get our beverages (coffee and freshly squeezed oj for me and chocolate milk for my son) because our waitress had to make the oj herself (a complete mystery as to why one of the other 4 or 5 waitresses who had no customers at the time could not have made it or brought our other beverages to the table.) Our waitress who was very nice (if unprofessional - she spent about 5 minutes telling me about her kids, her husband, her brother's girlfriend and her recently deceased father), quit before we left the restaurant after an altercation of some sort with the manager/owner (not sure which). The manager/owner was a very unpleasant woman who looked like she had just rolled out of bed and into work, and became very nasty when I (very politely) told her that it created a bad customer experience when she argued with our waitress in the restaurant in front of the customers.

Good food, friendly service and a short drive from my Mom's house? You bet I'm a fan of Zoe's! Breakfast out is one of my favorite meals of the week so when mom suggested Zoe's for breakfast, I debated whether we should go to our favorite spot or check out Zoe's. Well, we took the chance and were quite pleased with our visit. We went on a Sunday morning around 9:15. The place was only half full and even when we left at 10:30 there was no line so we didn't have to wait at all. We were seated in a booth in the back and our friendly server, Samantha was over in a flash. They color code their coffee cups (yellow and red for regular and decaf) but all the servers don't seem to know the drill as we were constantly saying "decaf" for my mom. Maybe the color coding was all in my head? Anyway- a small hiccup but nothing to thwart our visit. I ordered a custom made omelet and mom had eggs and fruit. The food came up quickly and I liked that there was no charge for the substitutions. Hash browns and toast come with your order but you can have fruit or even a pancake if that is your thing. Everything was perfectly prepared and Samantha kept an eye on us to make sure we had everything we wanted. The atmosphere is bright and airy as it is in the corner of a small strip mall with large windows all around. It was bright and cheery and the perfect place to have breakfast. The menu is quite large with lunch being the other daypart that they are open for and mom vouches for their sandwiches and salads. And mom is all about great food at a great value. Breakfast for two ran about $17 which was cheap in my book. And there is plenty of free parking right out front. Know that you pay at the register on your way out. Zoe's got high marks from mom and me so it will go on our list for the next time I'm in town and breakfast out is calling!

"fresh squeezed" orange juice for $4.00? What the hell? You can SEE the orange juice MACHINE when you walk in the building! It shouldn't cost that much unless they are squeezing each orange by hand! I ordered the white chocolate chip banana pancakes and the Chocolate chips were burnt. I got one water when we first sat down. It's been empty since before I got my food and they haven't refilled it since. They asked if I wanted bacon or sausage as if it came with my pancakes but they ended up being four dollars extra for four slices of bacon. IHOP is so much better AND cheaper, honestly.
(1)Jen L.
This is quickly becoming my new favorite breakfast place. No matter what I order, I can't go wrong! They have friendly staff, a great selection, and the food is awesome.
(5)Cherie S.
The Tuscan Chicken Salad is amazing. The service is always good as well. I have visited this establishment several times at lunch. I can't wait to check out their breakfast
(5)Mel T.
This place and the second location in Northville have gotten steadily worse. Father's day 2015 ruined by long waits for table then ove30 minutes for food to trickle out first bacon, five minutes later eggs with a promise of just a "few more minutes for my French toast! Wife got her over cooked omelette other guest had a longer wait. You got it, three people at table all eating at separate times! We won't be back, Big Boys is looking good compared to this place!

Our first two visits to the restaurant were good, and we had James for a waiter, who was excellent. The Cobb salad was delicious and huge. The third time we visited a couple days ago, our waitress was terrible, the Cobb salad was a mess, and my pancakes were sitting up in the window for at least 10 minutes. Service was extremely slow, and half the waitstaff looked to be sitting in a back booth feeding themselves and gossiping. The owner didn't seem phased by their lack of attention or professionalism, as he himself was hobnobbing with some buddies in a booth. My husband's apple walnut french toast was disgusting, flopped with nasty apple goo that tasted artificial. My pumpkin pancakes that were sitting in the window were cold, gummy and sour tasting so I sent them back. The soup my daughter ordered didn't come until right before our main entree. Our waitress never returned to refill any of our drinks, and we had to have another waitress (who seemed to be the only one doing any actual work) get us refills twice. The bill seemed really steep for the food we had, and my husband declared we will never return, and I agree. Get your act together, Zoe's! You could have a gold mine here!!
(1)Jinx N.
Me and my coworkers have been here for breakfast / lunch on multiple occasions. Pretty good breakfast fare. Someone commented that their omelette was very good, not greasy like most places. Pancakes were very nice, and far above ihop quality. You got nothing to lose.
(4)Yvonne G.
Had a chance to eat here for the first time with my husband and daughter and took our waitresses recommendations. We had a chance to sit outside for dinner which was a nice unexpected bonus. I had the Boston Creme French Toast and was not disappointed! Wasn't too sweet and there was enough to share and bring home. Nice surprise between the layers of what tastes like homemade Boston Creme and not the artificial stuff. My daughter is a biscuits and gravy snob and took a chance and ordered that for dinner and was not disappointed. Plenty to share there too and real sausage in the gravy. Fresh biscuits too! My husband had the strawberry shortcake French toast and was very pleased. Nice cream cheese drizzle and lots of fresh strawberries. It was a huge order and he managed to polish it off. We all tried each other's food and were all impressed. What is even more impressive are the prices!! The three of us had entrees, plus two sides of scrambled eggs which tasted super fresh and two cups of coffee. The bill came to $23! Plus we had leftovers! This is definitely our new breakfast spot! Not sure that the location does this place justice. Doesn't seem like too many businesses last at this location but hoping this one sticks around for a while. The waitress also highly recommends the strawberry crepes. Maybe next time!

GREAT BREAKFAST................ wonderful Eggs Benedict and the potatoes .... you can get either hash browns or DICED the diced are wonderful I could go on and on but you get the idea...it's a great place for breakfast
(5)Keith K.
Very good food, but the service is inconsistent. My wife and I stopped in there earlier this week for breakfast . We were immediately seated in a booth and waited about 10 minutes before we walked out. No one ever stopped by our table ... another couple was seated near us and received water and menus within seconds of being seated. We had breakfast about a 2 months ago and also experienced very poor service ... no coffee refills, slow to take order, etc. Then about a month ago had very good service. Overall, the food is quite good, but not worth the aggravation of the poor, inconsistent service.
(2)Rachel M.
I am a big fan of breakfast foods, especially pancakes. When I came across Zoe's I knew I had to give them a try. The wait staff was extremely nice and my boyfriend and I were seated right away. The menu had many options, not just pancakes and breakfast foods. After a lengthy internal debate I decided to get the banana nut pancakes. I was not disappointed. The 3 pancakes came out quickly and were roughly the size of my head. They tasted just like a banana nut muffin. I was only able to finish about 1/2 of the stack before I was too full to go on. I will definitely go back to Zoe's to try some of their other flavors.
(5)Jim F.
The world cannot have too many pancake houses as far as I'm concerned. Food here is good , prices are fair., Service is good. Get here early because it does fill up. Would recommend.
(4)Heather H.
Good food. We go often on Sunday's when it is usually very busy and at times the wait can be pretty long. But every time we have been the service has been great and the red velvet pancakes are amazing!
(4)Maegan C.
I've never been impressed with the food here, but the last time (and I mean the LAST TIME) I went there, I could have lived with their horrible excuse for a Caesar salad. But I could not deal with how unbelievably rude our waitress was. I've never been treated so badly in a restaurant in my life. Won't be back.
(1)Wess G.
Ate the pancakes... so, so huge... I am a happy fat kid.
(5)Jason L.
Busy on a Saturday but was well worth the wait. Fresh squeezed orange juice and great tasting food.
(5)Callan W.
My brother wanted to take me out to lunch and this was his choice. I get why - they have pancakes that pose as breakfast but are really dessert. Pancakes come in all varieties - from blueberry to red velvet. I went with blueberry but asked for bananas to be added. The waitress warned the bananas would be in the pancakes and on top (that is what I wanted), but instead I got 5 pieces of bananas on top. Not quite what I was looking for. My brother got the oreo - but they just were regular pancakes with oreo pieces inside. If I were to have this on my menu, why not chocolate pancakes with creme frosting...like giant oreos?! If you are going to go into the business of fancy decandent pancakes, then go all in. I also judge a breakfast joint by their hashbrowns and Zoe's got the thumbs down. If you are going to call yourself the House of Pancakes, you better deliver.
(2)Leslie K.
This place has an amazing list of pancake offerings. Most of the pancakes sound like some sweet confections, and often have things mixed in them. I had the carrot cake pancakes the first time, and got the "frosting" on the side in case it was too much. I am so glad I did that! They were perfect without the frosting on them at all. My hubby got the banana foster french toast, or something like that. It was good, he said, and he ate all the bananas from it. I've read through the sandwich part of the menu, and it looks like there are some nice options. However, I can't order a sandwich when the name of the place has "Pancakes" in it!
(3)Tatakaten C.
Very quick & friendly service. Loved the strawberry shortcake french toast! & the pancakes are HUGE!
(4)Valerie C.
Awesome wonderful service. Most Americans would love this place so if you are an average American, go to Zoe's! For me, the portions are over the top way too huge. Ugh, no wonder we're all too fat. And I hate that fake evaporating white chemical that masquerades as "whipped cream". And no wifi so that knocks it out as my potential weekday breakfast joint. But if you love huge portions and fake "cream" you'll love it. I'll save my waistline and avoid it.
(3)Jade C.
While my husband and I have gone here on a regular basis and the food is great... FYI Never go here on a holiday. They cannot handle the service. We waited for over an hour, server had trouble seating us and the manger was unapologetic.
(3)Shane B.
Horrible service, still waiting on the food. It's only been a hour for a simple skillet. Not to happy, there won't be a tip. There defiantly enough staff, but there lazy and slow. Won't be coming back.
(1)Samantha T.
Good service, great banana and walnut pancakes. Prices were reasonable. I would go back here.
(4)Dennis P.
Fresh everything, friendly service, great coffee and reasonable This is the second day in a row for a breakfast -tons of choices and everything you see looks wonderful
(5)Anita B.
Great selection of food. Kids LOVE pancakes ! Breakfast and lunch selections, so, don't let the business name let you think it's only for breakfast. Very busy on the Sunday we went. Great service and kids love coming here. I see why now :-)
(5)Ak S.
Underrated place, get fresh strawberries here, otherwise it mediocre, the staff was nice enough as well as the service being pretty fast, hopefully they read these and realize the staff needs to be livelier and food more fresh with having to ask
(4)Steven A.
Arrived and greeting was very friendly. Server came by very quickly and brought our drinks back also quick. Very polite and nice manners. Requested the pancake for the grandson and it came very quickly. The atmosphere was very calm and nice, not to loud or busy. The Italy omelet was perfect and the taste was beyond delicious and the price for 3 Adults and 1 child under $40. Wow great price and a lot of food. Check# 30001 We will return again.
(5)Lauren L.
I love it here!!! I am so happy that there is a good breakfast joint by my house!! Try their hashbrowns- extra crispy!! I love them because they aren't frozen. They have so many tasty choices of pancakes and French toast that it can be hard to choose just the right one! I will be a customer for a long time!!
(5)Troy D.
Zoe's is close to my home but I never had been there before. I had been meaning to try it as my friends highly recommended their specialty pancakes. So my Mom and I set aside this Sunday morning to try it. Place was pretty crowded, not especially large dining area to begin with, but many people were waiting to be seated and others wanted to wait for a table outside. I think the hostess misread the list because we were seated quickly. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes with a side of sausage links. Tasted very good. Definitely pleased with that. Big portion of 3 plate-sized pancakes; but of course I finish them. My mom got strawberry pancakes with a side of bacon. I tried some of the bacon and I can say it was good. My mom enjoyed her strawberry pancakes but she mainly ate the centers of the pancakes because that's where all the strawberries were and her appetite isn't as monstrous as mine. And overall, that meal cost us $20, a little more pricey than a normal breakfast but not outrageous. Lastly, I would just want to talk about the feeling after. Before the visit, my friends shared their impression of Zoe's by rumoring that Zoe's must put barbiturates in the food or something that will make you want to fall asleep afterwards. I can 100% confirm that now.
(4)Jeff L.
What once was a nice place, has since turned into a medicore joint... The service is is horrible, and when i addressed it with the management she looked at me like I was crazy. Whats crazy is $20.00 for two people to have breakfast..... never again!
(1)Mayerlin L.
Zoe's is a great place to go and have breakfast or even brunch with friends and family. They have a great variety of food. The staff is great . And the food comes out super fast. I would recommend this place to anyone :)
(5)David K.
Absolutely love this place. Not only do they have every kind of pancake imaginable, but then food is always amazing and very fast. Many healthy options and my favorite is the spinach and mushroom egg white omelette with Swiss cheese. When I want I indulge, you can't go wrong with the chocolate chip pancakes. The staff is very friendly and always asking how everything is. Give this place a shot and you won't be disappointed.
(5)David L.
I have been looking for a good pancake place for a while and came across a great one today. First of what will be many visits to Zoe's. Service is outstanding, food was cooked completely to order and the prices are very reasonable. A little hard to find because of where they are in the shopping center, but well worth the search.
(5)Lynn H.
Let me start out by saying our waitress lacked in professionalism. She argued about an order when she should have just taken it back. However, that was one gripe in our table of 8's experience and her service beside that was friendly. Everyone of us except one liked our dishes. The one dish that was not good was the red velvet pancakes. They were really dry. But that was the exception. The omelettes, the french toast, the eggs, the breakfast meats, the toast, and the coffee were good to great. The price was decent. It looks like this place is working out the kinks. The menu is extensive, with an emphasis (no surprise) on the griddle. We'll be back.
(3)Emma R.
I would NOT recommend this restaurant. The staff and management are extremely rude and the food is over priced. They nickel and dime you on everything. Today a waitress tried to charge me extra for coffee cream. The food is no different than a Leo's coney island but costs twice as much. You would be better off going to Leo's much cheaper.
(1)Joseph M.
What a great little place. Tried this place for the first time. My usual place is Breakfast Club. The food was really good, had the bananas flambé, the bread it was made with was great. They actually have real bacon, nice and thick, the hash browns are real fried potatoes. Potions were good size and the prices were affordable. I will be back.
(5)Ashley M.
So.. Went to Zoe's on a Sunday for breakfast-- the wait was not that bad, about 20 minutes at 10:30a.m. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not have the high tech buzzers, because we missed our name being called since we decided to go back to the car. Nonetheless, when we entered back into Zoe's we were promptly seated :) So... I thought this place was the "House of Pancakes?" I honestly would rather make the drive to Woodward and wait an hour to be seated at Hudson Cafe... I recall only 4 different varieties of pancakes including: pumpkin, strawberry, banana, and whole-grain... I can make or sample these types at any other breakfast chain.. I was looking for creativeness, and splendor.. I was let down :( Zoe's is, however affordable for the area, and prompt! Sunday's breakfast bunch made this restaurant PACKED! I do also like the turkey and canadian options for breakfast meats! I would rather eat at Receipes or Hudson Cafe. :)

We went yesterday evening. I ordered Monty Crisco, fries, and a milkshake. My wife ordered a Hawaiian omelet and pancakes. It took over 30 minutes to arrive and no fries or milkshake. I mentioned that and the waitress said "oh you want that now?" I don't know what was on my wife's plate but it wasn't an omelet. Burnt ham, globs of egg, pineapple, and cheese formed in the shape of a cheese log. She picked at it. And ate half of her pancakes which were just ok. My Monty Crisco had the same burnt ham, the milkshake was just weird... I can't really describe it, it lacked that icy cream. It was like really thick chocolate milk. Next time We will be going to pancheros! ( our original destination)
(1)Leep S.
omelets are good, fresh ingredients, love the side of fruit and always friendly service
(5)Mish M.
Good food but unpredictable service. Each time we went we enjoyed the food and service. They will make eggs just the way u like it. However, the service has been a bit spotty...a few times it's been too slow (and we were there after the rush was over)..other times fantastic ...now it's been more good than bad..so I left it at 4 instead of a 3...hopefully they keep the good going and fix the service gaps...I know some ppl were bothered by having to go to the register to pay..but many breakfast places do that so that didn't bother me. Overall it's hard to find any breakfast place unless it's a coney island, chain restaurant which really is boring to me. There are a couple of other decent places (the breakfast club or recipes) so I am hoping Zoe gets the message and fixes the service kinks.
(4)Jane K.
My first visit to Zoe's had its ups and downs. I hope this restaurant gets its act together - it could be a nice neighborhood place if they fixed some glitches. Positives: (1) The menu was large and offers many choices in each category. You could take a group of people here and everyone would find something to their liking. (2) The food arrived very quickly after we ordered. (3) My omelette (the "Skinny Greek") was EXCELLENT - tasty fillings, moist. (4) Being able to get a pancake instead of hash browns is a nice option, especially for those of us who want something sweet to go with our savory main dish. (5) Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Negatives: (1) My friend's order came out of the kitchen wrong THREE times. (She asked that the cheese be left out of her egg dish.) (2) The restaurant floor was filthy and slippery with grease. Someone, soon, is going to fall. Don't come here if you or a family member use a walker, a cane or crutches. (3) You pay at the register. Not the most relaxing way of ending a meal, especially when the man and woman running the register were brusque and indifferent. I'll give Zoe's another try.
(3)Jeffrey B.
We had been telling ourselves that we wanted ro try this place out for months. We finally went. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted immediately and added to a wait list. While we waited, we took the opportunity to review the menu. We were disappointed that the menu was completely different that the Zoes in Bloomfield Hills. We had already decided what we wanted before we came in. None of those options were on the menu at this location. We ordered Pancakes. They tasted great, but the size was very small for the price, and the presentation was not worth talking about. Very plain, nothing to grab your attention and scream "these are going to be awesome". Looked like something I would serve at home. Again, they were tasty. We also ordered a spanish omelette. It came out like a pile of scrambled eggs, with all the incredients mixed in, and folded over on itself. It was nothing to look at, and was very greasy. The flavor was not vey good either, as it tasted like an egg mush with a lot of indistinguishable ingredients. Overall, the place is not calling me back and the food does not justify the gourmet pricing.
(1)Val C.
So, what can I say about Zoe's? Their blackberry/cream cheese crepes are delicious, but no longer make up for their poor service. We have been to Zoe's many times since they opened and I don't think our order has ever been correct. Heaven forbid you order their other crepes without custard, the cooks can't seem to understand that. We've even heard the waitresses specifically notifying the cooks...it doesn't matter, we always have to send the food back covered in custard. As for the hostesses.....some are nice, some not so much. Most of the waitresses are nice (probably the ONLY reason we've tolerated the incompetency in the kitchen to this point). However, the icing on my cake came today when I called to place a take out order knowing that Sundays tend to be busy. I was put "on hold"....the phone was placed on the counter....where, for three minutes I listened to people paying their bills, coming in the door to put their name on the wait list....only to be hung up on. Not even a quick check to see if maybe someone was on the phone. Safe to say that no crepe is worth this lack of customer service.
(1)Natalie G.
It's a cute place and the food wasn't too bad, but this place is seriously lacking in service. My group of 8 was seated reasonably quickly. Our order was taken reasonably quickly. But it took half an hour to get three cups of coffee delivered to our table, and the coffee was not refilled until I requested it nearly an hour later. A glass of grapefruit juice arrived at room temperature (yes, it's fresh-squeezed, but room temperature? No thank you.) The food was 4/5 for breakfast, but I can make an equally good omelette at home and drink all the coffee and ice-cold juice I want. Bottom line--try a Coney Island or Ram's Horn instead.
(1)Donna B.
The food was very good and what you would expect from the ads. I had the strawberry shortcake French toast. It was wonderful and well balanced. I am a sucker for these types of dishes and often order them when I see them. They are very often heavy handed with the cream filling, this was not. It wasn't overly sweet and had the perfect amount of cream. I enjoyed the fresh strawberries. My husband had the blueberry pancakes which are often times undercooked. These were done well. The turkey sausage (looked like homemade) was disappointing for us. Poorly and under seasoned. Service was ok. We didn't have a particular problem but could totally believe what happened in the other posts. We would probably order different next time and share to balance the sweet stuff with some savory stuff. I didn't like paying up at the counter and REALLY didn't like being asked what tip we want to leave instead of being able to write it down. That's part of why I hardly go to coneys anymore.
(3)Andrew S.
Good place to go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I have not had anything bad off their menu yet. Wait staff is usually good, sometimes the hostess can be a little snooty depending on which one it is. If you order the crepes and want cream cheese instead of custard just ask. However, be ready to send them back because the cooks don't seem to understand what no custard and add cream cheese means. One time I sent it back 3 times and ended up asking for just fruit crepes with cream cheese on the side. Other than that it's a great little place to eat and it's not too busy during the week at dinner time. Go in sit right down.
(4)LeAnne P.
Sunday morning, so a long line was expected. But, not having your name taken after several minutes is a problem. So, I decided to order a carryout. Got home only to see half my order was wrong. Usually would've checked before leaving. Part my fault. But, definitely will not be back!
(1)Tom E.
It is a diner. The food was what I expected. It is clean, and the portions are good. It is much better than any of the chain diners, and some independent ones in the Detroit area. I would eat here again.
(4)Marshall W.
More than just pancakes. Omlets, sandwiches, salads and burgers are available. A new place in a strip mall that includes Pancheros, dvine wines, Swirlberry and Potbelly Sandwiches. I had an omlet with turkey sausage, swiss cheese and cranberries. Not the greatest combination. But it was good sized, 3 eggs, and the hash browns were good, not greasy. My wife had the ham wrap - wasn't wild about it. The pita bread had been toasted and was hard by the time she got it. The ham was not the best and cut into little cubes, making it difficult to hold, it kept falling apart. She left half. Atmosphere is typical diner - simple, but pleasant. They were smiling, attentive and quick. Prices were average for a breakfast place - omelettes were $5-8. Might find us coming back, as it's in the neighborhood.
(3)Betty B.
This place has awesome breakfast items. They are always come up with creative new dishes. Every time I have been there, it has been so busy, but you get seated pretty fast. The food is great. I would highly recommend it. My only issue is while MOST of the staff is great , there are a few who act annoyed and over-worked.
(4)Barramundi S.
Excellent! Breakfast is my favorite meal and this place rocks! Went there for the 1st time today and I'll be back...see my reviews - I'm picky when it comes to where I spend my money and I don't have out 5 stars but this places earns it. Food - Excellent Service - awesome (not sure why the others had bad service). The waitress told us they've only been open 5 months so maybe the team is still trying to figure it out. Ambiance - Family friendly Cleanliness - no complaints! Value - above par.... Definitely recommend this place and we'll be back......well done guys, keep it up and please don't screw it up.
(5)Justin K.
If you like bad pancakes and slow service then this is the restaurant for you. The bad pancakes part is subjective, but mine were burnt, hard, and cold when i got them.
(1)Jim K.
Can't say one way or the other since we never saw our waitressa after waiting for nearly 15 minutes. We gave up and left. The people at the adjacent booth had the same problem although they were a little more patient and finally got waited on after 15 minutes or so. The menu looks good for a diner.
(2)Pretty S.
My friends and I went out to grab some lunch and they decided to get Pancheros. I wanted to try Zoe's House of Pancakes and was surprised by the great menu items. I order the cobb salad. It was great. The chicken was seasons well and had a lot of toppings. My friends were so jealous since they hated their food at Pancheros. I plan to go back for breakfast.

I was excited to try this place mostly because I am tired of all the same breakfast options in these parts. I took my kids on their last snow day, so it wasn't crowded with weekend warriors. The place looks pretty much like any other iHop or diner - standard banquettes, bland coffee and cheesy art. The menu is ginormous with much more than pancakes offered up; Crepes, french toast and eggs I was impressed with the many pancake variations, so I was optimistic when I ordered the White Chocolate Banana pancakes with cinnamon & ginger. One of my kids ordered the Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Glaze & the other had the Oreo. The fun of going to a restaurant is 1. Not cooking and 2. Being served (for once). But pretty much, I could have made these at home myself and probably with a lot more flavor. I was so hoping to taste the flavors in mine, but really they just tasted like banana pancakes. Of course, I had to take a nibble of the others too. The red velvet was very dry and bland. The cream cheese glaze was drizzled on top, only to leave out the two fatties below. It would behoove anyone ordering these to ask for a side of it. And the Oreo, well. Any dink can add crushed Oreos to pancake mix and charge $6.99. Speaking of $$ - the prices weren't bad for the amount of food we did get. Each serving of three very generous pancakes was $6.99. We took home the leftovers. We would probably go back since it's very kid friendly, but it's not outstanding or original by any means, which is unfortunate.

My daughter and I have been waiting to try this place so we were excited to have the chance to have some breakfast for dinner last night. My advice to the owner-fire your manager immediately. It was 8:45pm when we arrived. As the manager grabbed menus and began to seat us he stopped and said, "just so you know, our kitchen closes in 15 minutes!" I asked if we could still order food and he replied, "you should be able to, I think." We sat down and read the menu anyway. 5 minutes after we arrived, a car pulled into the parking lot. The manager rushed to the door and locked it as the family exited their vehicle. When they tried to open the locked door, the manager laughed with another employee and announced loudly, we are closed!" It was 8:51. Our server was pleasant , attentive and helpful. The food was tasty and hot, but we were so uncomfortable, being watched by the manager during our entire visit, we won't be back.
