Tried this restaurant recently as its close to work. Service was courteous and it is conveniently located off 6-mile but the food was nothing great. I ordered Pad se ew with a spice level of Hot. The preparation tasted extra sweet and the noodles were sort of glued together as the sauce was thick. What's the point of more quantity when the food tastes bad, right? At the end of it my stomach hurled. I don't think I will go here again.

I love their noodles!!! Such good portions, the spring rolls are exceptional with the sweet plum sauce...just one thing, I wish they offered steak!!! Drunken noodles are my fave, and their raspberry tea is theee best!!

This place is near my school so I've been meaning to try it. I ordered a carry out and it was ready in about 5 minutes. winning! I ordered pad pak....they did not have brown rice which was really disappointing. I anxiously took my meal back to school to gobble down and satisfy my Thai craving...the meal was really bland...losing. I was really disappointed with the lack of taste this meal had and it was not worth the 10 or 11 dollars I forked out for it. If I decide to come back I will order something else and maybe it will be more enjoyable.

Had to choose between this and Thai Basil across the street. Went here because I'm familiar with the Siam Spicy name. Thursday at six, only one other table occupied - typically not a good sign. My 14 year old son loved it. Ate all the shrimp chips. I don't usually like them, but these were pretty good. He had the Pad Prik, I had the Siam Spicy Shrimp Fried Rice. Not something I would normally get, but it just sounded good. I liked it. Portions were good, food was good, service was good until she was slow to come get my credit card - didn't come until we started to get up. Asked for medium plus and they under shot a bit on the heat index. A couple new tables filled up and they did some carryout, so it wasn't so desolate.

So excited to try another local thai place! We've been twice, and both times were very good. I hope they make it - they're way in the back of a strangely shaped strip mall (there have been at least two other restaurants in this same spot, and both have failed). My go to meal at all new thai places is the green curry coconut milk dish with shrimp - excellent flavor and heat. The second time I tried something with 'Jungle' in the title, and OMG love at first bite. Ken prefers the noodle dishes, but I think he wanted to steal my 2nd visit dish.

I've been at Siam Spicy 4 twice now, once a couple years ago and I couldn't get it out of my mind so I finally tried it again last week when I had a lunch to schedule in Livonia. Anyways, while I don't remember what I had a couple years ago, I do remember that I ordered three different dishes with my sister-in-law, both of us whom love Thai food and have extensive experience with Thai food in Thailand. We agreed that the food was pretty great. This time around I felt like having a brothy dish and ordered the Thai version of pho, or Guaey Tiaew, God knows how one spells that. Anyways, I barely looked at the menu and asked the server if they had it and she said it was good. After a brief conversation with her, we concluded that I would have it with no spice and they would bring me my favorite condiments, jalapeno picked in vinegar, and another vinegar based spice. But it was really good and I barely needed the condiments to enhance the flavor. Next time I'm at 8/Haggerty shopping or doing whatever, I'll skip Thai Fresh (which is good but not 'Thai') and drive down a couple miles to Siam Spicy 4. And if you've tried Siam Spicy 2 and hated it, please do not let that be a reflection of Siam Spicy 4. It's way different. This is way better.

Against The advice of Yelp I tried this place. Called in my order and picked it up to eat at home. Service was fast but when I opened the box it was the wrong order. The lady told me to put it in the fridge and next time I come bring it back. Doubt I'll be back.

This place went down hill. They must have changed the chef. The food we got was waaaaaay too salty!!! We sent the dishes back only to bring back another just as salty. They said the sauce was premade and could not make it any less salty. I am not sure how people ate here that day. The salt problem was not just a preference but a serious health issue. We could not eat our food and left.

Take out here tonight. None of the dishes were good nor reminded us of the best Thai cuisine we have had. We will not be back.

I don't always order salt dishes with a side of meat, but when I do, I make sure its at Siam Spicy4!

I'm not an authority on Thai cuisine, with my experience mostly limited to pad thai, (usually chicken), which I have had many times at a handful of restaurants. I had been to another Siam Spicy location several times and visited Siam Spicy 4 expecting to have a familiar experience. I was surprised that things were quite different in various ways. I mean this in a good way, because I think this location was better than its sister store in Farmington Hills, although I would not hesitate to visit either location. The service was good at both locations and the basic set up was similar, but the food seemed different (better?) than at my visits to the other member of the SS family. When I ordered lunch I was given the soup which seemed very rich, and less brothy than the other location. I was supplied a bowl of shrimp chips which were not given at the Farmington Hills location, although I have experienced this at other Thai restaurants. I was offered chop sticks, which I don't remember happening during any of my previous thai experiences, although not needed in my case, The pad thai seemed to have a richer sauce with an added positive element which I could not quite identify. I look forward to visit again to try to figure it out.

Siam Spicy has become my go-to local Thai restaurant these days, as the food is consistently of high quality...and they have shrimp chips!!! Anyone who knows me knows my love of these seemingly hard to find little crispy greases of joy... Having shrimp chips makes up for the fact that their appetizer selection is quite minimal and not so great, which is a let down for me, as I really enjoy appetizers at any type of restaurant. As for the entrees, I've had several rice dishes and several noodle dishes, and if I had to choose a favorite I'd choose the curry noodles with steamed tofu. It's my favorite and I highly recommend it if you like Pad Thai but are in the mood for, well, curry... Well done, Siam Spicy! I'm glad to have discovered you so close to my neck of the woods!

One of the best thai restaurant in Michigan. Excellent food choices and perfectly done. Very well atmosphere inside and very clean place. Price was fair since they have large portion and the service it's great.

love it. Try the curry peanut - it's awesome. When they have the chicken and rice soup it's also amazing.

Garbage. Worst Thai food I've ever had. Last time I had bits of stone in my food, this time I had super bland, old tasting food and I'm so PISSED! I'll never come back to thus shithole again. Go across the street.

Fast service, like extremely fast service! Delicious food - i get the jungle prince every time! I just can't seem to branch out! Staff is efficient and quick! You start with soup almost before you finish ordering The menu has about 100 options, and it's a great amount! I always eat it all, although if i have more will power i could have some left overs! You can pretty much head there at any time - since the staff and service is so fast, there is barely a wait! Most every lunch special is $7.95 - what a great deal! Parking lot isn't huge, but you don't usually have trouble finding a spot!

I'd like to give a rating of 3.5 stars. I suggest their Thai curry and noodles at this restaurant. Some Thai restaurant is almost the same taste as a typical Chinese restaurant. However, the taste is not so similar to rich Chinese food. This restaurant has pretty genuine Thai food. Also, the staff was quite friendly. The only thing is, I wish I could drink some Shigha-beer or Tiger-beer with their good meal for dinner, but they don't have liquor license :-(

Swung in here the other night to get takeout because I was craving Thai food and turns out there aren't many decent Thai places by our house without a bit of a drive. This was verily close, and the reviews were overall pretty positive so I figured why not. I ordered the chicken Gang Kew-Warn (chicken stewed in with green hot curry, bamboo shoot. egg plant, string bean, bell pepper, baby corn and coconut milk) with a side of spring rolls. Everything came out verily quick, and I liked that the spice options weren't just mild, medium, hot, andThai hot. They had mid levels as well if you like mild, but want more of a kick but not as much as a medium you would do as I did and get 'mild plus'. The Gang Kew-Warn was good, not great. The spice was definitely there, I just wish there was more flavor. I don't know how else to explain it. Maybe the Thai basil from the green curry wasn't as pronounced as I wish it was? I'm not sure. I just know I've had better elsewhere. The spring rolls were on point though- crispy, flavorful, and had a kick. Pair it with the spicy/sweet chili side dipping sauce and you have a delicious combo. Overall It was good. I think next time I'd give some other items a try next time I'm craving Thai.

This place should be called Siam Salty 4. I ordered the Panang Curry, which was incredibly salty, watery, and oily. It was my worst experience at a Thai restaurant. Everyone in my party was disappointed with their dishes due to their saltiness.

My wife and I eat here weekly . Food is very fresh . So hard now a days to find a restaurant with fresh food and vegetables. Also service is very good. Hope they keep it up .

Chicken and shrimp pad Thai was great and the free soup at lunch was a delicious treat!
(4)Tim W.
Pretty good flavor but more importantly, the spiciest Thai food I've had outside of NYC for a long time. I would definitely come here again if I were in the neighborhood.

A new place in the strip mall, went there for lunch before the office closed. We were the first one's in the office. We got seated, they brought water, asked if we wanted to drink anything else other then water, we said no. They brought out the soup of the day (before we even ordered) and the shrimp chips... and they left a pitcher of water on the table... so far so good :) I ordered Gang Gai (red curry) with extra mixed vegetables (i think it was like $1.50 extra). My colleague ordered the Pad Prik. We got our orders, the rice came in this silver container, which was awesome. I liked my dish and gave Pad prik try, so it was good as well. I ended up giving up three stars, but maybe it'll change once I go back and try the place again. The service was good and quick... by the time we left, there were four other customers in the restaurant... maybe we got there too early? We went at 11:15am or so,,, they just opened. I'll try it again, when I'm in the area.

Tried them once and got a pad thai take-out. The flavor was right; the noodles were okay, but the whole dish does not taste like pad thai though. There was too much sauce in it, making it taste like noodle in soup rather than fried pad thai. Not bad though.

My husband and I LOVE Thai food, and frequently consume this delicious cuisine all around the Midwest (we travel around alot for work). This restaurant is part of the Siam spicy group of restaurants, I believe the majority of them are owned by the same person. While the owner of these establishments is sweet, her staff at this restaurant is not. We have visited this particular store 3 times now and have left disappointed all three times. I prefer the Novi store over this one by far. The menu is the same but the flavors are slightly different/off. I do like their pad cashew and soups, yet not enough to deal with the staff. Too bad- this place is closer to our home than the one in Novi.

Siam Spicy is right across the street from Thai Basil yet instead of differentiating itself it seems more a member of the bland cartel than a competitor. There are so many Thai places in Livonia now it's time for one to really stand out instead of all shooting for the same Kraft palate customer. The random bright spot is the soup that comes with a lunch order. It is delicious and hearty for a freebie soup. The thom yum was not nearly as good. It's chocked full of really fresh ingredients but the broth was bland bland bland. This soup should have a tangy spicy hit to it but I could have drank it like a glass of water if I wanted to. The pad see ew had the option for gai lan/Chinese broccoli which should have meant extra bonus points. But there was a really small quantity served with my noodles which kinda stripped those bonus points away. The noodles were a tad on the squishy side too. Pad Thai and peanut curry were both OK but nothing spectacular. I'd probably eat here over the other Livonia Thai joints in the future but the margin motivating me to do so is razor thin.

Love this place! Our prior favorite Thai restaurant was Siam Spicy in Novi by 12 oaks mall, this is owned by the same owners, and boy were we excited when we saw they were opening one 2 miles from our house! Very friendly, excellent service, but the food is what really stands out to us. I think by now we've had everything on the menu, and our favorites are probably the Pad Prik (green beans and tofu or pork) and the Choo Chee Plah (catfish filet in a peanut curry), but everything has been excellent. Give it a shot!

I don't like Thai food...well, that's what I thought until I went here! My husband was convinced that I would Thai food because I love Indian and Chinese, so why wouldn't I like Thai? I guess I had never had good Thai before tonight! We started off with the complementary styrofoam chips, until we found out they aren't vegetarian. Oops. Maybe PETA would let it slide since we didn't know ;-) They are Shrimp Chips, but really have no flavor. Just something to put in your mouth while you wait for the tasty food. We shared an order of the vegetarian spring rolls. Yummy! They are no Pei Wei spring roll, but they were mighty tasty! I ordered the hot tea and my husband ordered the Thai iced tea. Man was pissed tonight that I have a dairy allergy! I tried just a little sip (ok, three little sips). OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! It's as sweet as a shake, perfect on a nice summer night! For our entrees I ordered the Curry Peanut with tofu (substituted carrots for broccoli). My husband ordered the Pad Cashew. We both ordered them in "medium". They are not joking when they say that medium is not for wimps! It was a little spicier than we are used to. I like it hot, but my husband would get the mild next time. I will stick with medium =) Both entrees were HUGE! Easily enough left over for 2 more meals each. Very generous on sauce and veggies. I can't wait to come here again.

Very good food. Wide selection. One of the best Thai food places around.
